Who knows Sinead O'Conner from the 80's? As far as I know back when I used to listen to her amazing mellow songs in 1980's I knew she was a 100% female! If one goes to porn sites today yet one finds many beautiful women with penis naturally they were surgically planted ! Now the question arises what is the rate of these surgery? One can assume its okay to be bisexual in their own terms. I am just bewildered O'Conner has a penis which concludes my theory of dual sexual fantasy! Is this case true or women having penis implant surgery? Here is link Sinead O'Connor On Sexuality: 'It's Not About What Gets [Me] Hard Or Not' - http://huff.to/1yXBwI6 Language in th…

Hi. I have never had counseling and have been self-medication for a number of years. I know it is bad but it is what it is. I want to start counseling and also start seeing an endo because I want orchi surgery. I did not just start randomly taking meds but read and studied a lot about hormone therapy. My question is-Will it be a problem to start therapy or go to an endo because of the self medication? Will they refuse to help?

(edited 12/20/05) ~ TRANSITION ~ What does "transition" mean to you in the TG sense of the word? Does it ONLY mean the physical alteration of your body through surgery, from one gender to the other? Do you see transition as the opportunity for an evening, a day, a week or longer to swap your regular clothes for those of the opposite sex, and in the process adopting this other gender's behavior patterns? I think the word means both of these and more. There are many of us on these Forums who are right now in a state of transition. In my case, I've been living as Annie for over five years, have had some cosmetic procedures, but not the fina…

I used to have friends from every shade of the rainbow, butch gay males, fem gay males, stone butch lesbians, fem lesbians, and a few bisexuals for good measure....but once I came out about being trans they turned against me, called me a traitor and in a few cases physically attacked me.... I now only have 2 gay friends left, and even they get snarky with me for being trans. Did this happen to anyone else? Jay

Hi All, I hope it is not seen as inappropriate me posting on here (with other networks/groups I had asked the Admin for guidance on where to post, but this is such a huge board that I wasn’t sure which Admin/Moderators to contact!) So I don’t mean to cause any offence by hijacking the forum, and I hope that some of you will be keen to help. I am currently undertaking post graduate studies in Psychology and have chosen to carry out a research project on transgender issues. I chose this because I am part of the LGBT community myself and feel we are quite under represented as a whole in research, but transgender individuals even more so. Also much of the research …

For quite some time, everyone who feels the need to number us, claims that there are only 700,000 transgender people in the US. That number has been bandied about so much, that even some trans people have begun to use that figure. I've always thought that was a crock of crap. And it angers me more each time I see it, 'cause in the back of my mind, I can't help but believe that the part of the nation hell-bent on keeping us grovelling in the gutter have got to be thinking, "so what, there's only 700,000 of ya's." I just finished reading the article The faces of transgender teen America. According to that article, "among the documented 1.6 million homeless youth across …

Hi, I'm new around here. Couldn't get the registration to work today so I've decided to work with a guest name for now. What I've seen around the TG community is that the majority are male to female, with intent to date other men (single, gay, TG, or whatever)... but I was wondering, is there anyone like me that feels like they're a woman on the inside (definitely not on the outside) that is only interested in straight or lesbian women? I haven't seen or heard of many people like that, and if so... it makes me wonder if there are any women that would take someone like me. Just curious and a little muddled. :P

So I'm out to friends and family, but I would like to come out to my professors at my university. Unfortunately it's a small private school, so many professors I had last year I will have again and again until I graduate. So naturally, last year they were introduced to me as a female and I have since started my transition. I would like to send out an email to all my professors to note them of the changes I have made, and to ask them to please refer to me with male pronouns and my chosen male name from now on. However, I feel that this is going to be a VERY awkward experience. I'm not afraid of discrimination, I'm just afraid to write the stupid email. lol So I just wan…

Hi Girls! This is my first time on this site. I've been wanting to share something with the transgender community that I have developed to address a restroom issue. In Minnesota, I'am allowed to use the restroom of the gender I present as. The problem is when doing so it takes some time and struggle to get ready to relieve myself. (urinary) Then all has to be put back into place, sometimes with long fingernails breaking off or parts getting pinched and scratched. I came up with a device that uses an external adhesive male catheter, a tight fitting pair of panties, (gaff) and a plastic tubing connector incorporated into a styrene plate. The plate is sewn into the crotch …

Hi bonnie! I have been lurking for a few days and just came across a post of yours saying you are going back home. That is a huge step. Under what terms are you getting back with your wife on, if you don't mind me asking. Are you preparing to live your life as a male? I remember when you left, and how that was not what you wanted, but you could not continue the charade. How are you doing? -Kim

  13. I've had several meetings over the past couple of months with a man who is providing me with some professional services. Before our first meeting I told him via email that I am a transgender woman. If that made him uncomfortable then that was fine and in which case I asked that he refer me to another colleague. We talked about it on the phone: he's a fundamental Christian and although he has a lot of experience with gay colleagues and customers he'd never encountered a trans person. If I was game to help educate him he was very interested in learning. Since then we've met a couple of times including yesterday. In the course of our conversation I mentioned that I'm sc…

Past came back to me and coming out 12 years ago was a journey that was tough and got easier down the road.I remember in my teens going in my mom's closet starting at the age of 13 trying on her clothes when she was gone at work.Included my step sister's clothes too.I loved wearing them know how comfortable they were to wear.It was never noticed, put everything back the way I found them.A month after my 30th birthday 12 years ago, wife introduced me to women's clothes and it was into a year when we started dating. She let me try on a few pieces of clothes of hers on and it all came back. After that I went out with her and a couple of her friends dressed as female. She saw I lo…

  15. You see with the current way things are working.. I'm living paycheck to paycheck, so I find it very difficult to save anything. Or it happens that I get to save a little bit of money on the side and then something happens that I have to suddenly spend that on something important to keep me going, like recently my jeep. So I haven't been able to save anything for my surgery and my consultation is coming up at the beginning of the new year! I'm struggling and my dysphoria is getting worse.. (Suggestions are greatly appreciated!) Please help 😩

  16. Trans activist Jude Patton has created two Facebook pages for those in the LGBT community who form emotional bonds with animals and he invites us to share our stories of our relationships with our animal companions. TRANS for Animals Lgbtiqq people and their emotional bonds with companion animals Mr. Patton describes the project as follows; Unfortunately, our experiences with marginalization often affect our feelings of self-worth. While many people in our lives are unable, or unwilling, to provide the emotional support we need before, during, and after coming out, or transitioning, our companion animals never fail to see us as we truly are, and never fail in contin…

As I watched TransGeneration I was interested in the contrast between Gabbie's openness about being transgendered and Raci's hesitation to acknowledge being transgendered. I believe every person has to find their own comfort level and use what works best for them. As for me; When I went full-time I chose to make a clean break from my former self. I quit my job (making a great income) and did a complete transition. When I reappeared about 2 months later I was passing pretty much flawlessly. I took a job making a fraction of my former salary, but I was living on my terms. I completed HRT and SRS while working 2 jobs. Fortunately, I was able to regain the lost income and…

It was the beginning of a Monday morning sometime around 12am, so the sky was still dark. Anyway, I had a throbbing tooth ache that didn't allow to rest. So I got dress and prepared to go to the hospital's emergency room, to give me pain meds. During the registration process, I wrote down on the forums using my biological since I didn't get my name changed legally just yet, and next to the name I wrote my female name that I wanted to be called by as "Rhonda". The treating nurse called me out by my biological name, which caused a lot of heads to turn around wondering why my gender expression MTF didn't match using male pronouns? I was hoping to avoid being starred, anyway …

This is wonderful. The facilitator is just one year older than I, and three years into her transition. So she seems to be the perfect mentor. The group requires an interview, which was no problem... so next Wed. night, I'll meet the group. This first meeting will be at a local cinema where there is comunity/public welcome gathering and a movie for National Transgender Day of Remembrance. I could not have possibly imagined a more appropriate day to introduce myself for the first time in a public forum as a transsexual woman. My official entry into the group will be the following week. They will be able to guide me to all of the local therapist, doctors and …

Today is the ninth anniversary of my coming out. It was such a relief when I first came out. All the internal stress and tension dissipated with that one act. Ever since that day my has been wonderful. Over these years I grew from a struggling cross dresser to a contented transgender woman. It's wonderful when I read that many men and women come out on their own. I have tried to be helpful to others in any way possible. I have been helped immeasurably by man people on the forums and in person. Looking back, it has been an interesting journey to say the least. It get more interesting every day. I certainly would not change anything.

As I wear my tight-lacing corset and practice signing my new name, I feel flighty. There is no other word I can think of; I am giddy and my my mind is racing. I love the click of my gel-colored fingernails (deep metallic blue). I got my eyebrows done a couple of days ago (DC sure has a lot of places for fingers and brows ). Tomorrow (Halloween) I am accompanying a good lady friend to a bar celebration, as the designated walker and metro rider. I will take advantage of the night to strut in one of my three-inch heel shoes (black lace-up pumps) and thereafter, have the 'stuff' I need to wear heels whenever I want to- which will be Sunday. Cheers

I've been quite busy trying to keep up with all the latest attacks on the trans community and related news stories. We all know the bad news. The Trump Administration is hell bent on destroying the transgender community. The good news is there are a lot of good people and organizations that are on our side. Here are some information sources I'm doing my best to keep updated: TGGuide Facebook Page Trans Rights Watch Trans News Watch Being immersed in this every day, it can become overwhelming but I believe we will win this war that has been unfairly waged against us. Please take some time now and then to disconnect from the news and take car…

I'm 20, and for those of us who are transitioning early we know that we most likely won't ever have biological children. That's the only thing that bothers me, and yet I can't live the way I am, not without a lot of pain and a lot of suffering. And I'm betting that it's like this for most of us who transition before having kids. I've never had a problem with adopting kids, I've thought a lot about it but it's really not the same to adopt. But having biological children is very important to me, and it's so hard to let it go. But as you can understand, adopting isn't the issue at hand here. Luckily for me I'm a very positive person. I don't have to question my transsexua…
