I am trying really hard to stay positive, but ? All I want to do is stop existing! May be people were right when they told me I am platitude. this person told me to leave the web site /chat room. This hurt my feelings very much! maybe I should not write this massage but it bothers me to be rejected, and judged again. Sorry to bother you; please forgive me. If you wish I will leave this one too? Thank you for your time. Peace Out

My Dear Friends, Today I have been the victim of adult bullying. What is embarrassing about it is that it was a senior lady picking on a 57 year old woman (me). Have also had a woman in her 50's pick on me while waiting for the bus in front of my building and a young man about 20 years my junior (30's) at a bus stop. Do not think that there is anything about my appearance or behavior that is "weird," BUT, I DO look like a Lesbian (which I am) and have a deep voice. Have grown my hair long and modified my dress to fit in better in a conservative (country folk) town. Have lived in NYC for ten years, and never was bullied. Now I live in a small town the last three years.…

I hesitantly post this, but it seems needful to me, to never forget that cruelty thrives in people i can only see as incredibly damaged and misinformed. Please, always be careful out there. A minority movement can grow, and a minority member can strike.

A man has been jailed for life for murdering a transsexual prostitute in north London. Destiny Lauren was one of a number of transgender people to suffer violence, and there are concerns such attacks are on the increase. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-10803570

We have a very real chance that LGBT discrimination on the job will finally become illegal throughout the country. Congress is poised to pass and the President Obama has promised to sign a federal bill, the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), that bars workplace discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. But we need your help to persuade lawmakers in Washington that this is a problem that state and local government employees face too. We need to hear from people who wanted to work for a state or local government but have been fired, refused a job or faced harassment because of their sexual orientation or gender identity. We are looking for…

"There are three passages one from god in the old testament, one from Jesus in Mathew and one in Act's when the holy spirit directed Philip to teach and baptize a eunuch. Be armed with this when people confront you with 'it's against my religious upbringing'." -Kellibusey, Post #11 of the thread "refused business at salon." i'm not familiar with the passages that kelli has sited above so maybe i need to go do a little reading, but i have to wonder why philip had to be told he should teach and baptize a eunuch (i'm assuming it might have had to do with some stigma attached to eunuchs at the time). and i don't really see where this is applicable to [trans]women. the r…

I'm 20, and for those of us who are transitioning early we know that we most likely won't ever have biological children. That's the only thing that bothers me, and yet I can't live the way I am, not without a lot of pain and a lot of suffering. And I'm betting that it's like this for most of us who transition before having kids. I've never had a problem with adopting kids, I've thought a lot about it but it's really not the same to adopt. But having biological children is very important to me, and it's so hard to let it go. But as you can understand, adopting isn't the issue at hand here. Luckily for me I'm a very positive person. I don't have to question my transsexua…

Hi Everyone. Most of you probably know that President Obama's health care bill is now partially in effect. Have any of you noticed your cost for hormones rising? Especially for those of us that insurance won't cover that cost? I just picked up my monthly prescription today. I have paid the same amount for 6 years, until now. The monthly increase....$20.00. So much for this bill helping the little guy.

I listened to a program on the internet talking about the popularity of Sarah Palin. When the people who like were asked what she stands for, the respondents were vague in their answers. When asked about what Palin would do on policies such as foreign policy, the respondents didn't have a clue. It's really sad that these people judged their love of Palin on peripheral qualities rather anything concrete or tangible. This parallels what most people understand about ENDA, gay marriage, and transgender identity. Political correctness is the rule of the day rather than critical thinking. What concerns me is that if, for example, the country was taken over by some power that…

I have this complex about my height. Only because my parents see it as a way to discourage me from being the male I am inside. Everytime I talk to my mother, she comes up with you're too short to be a male, or what girl is gonna want a short guy like you. I find it rude and embarrassing. Anyone else have this problem? How do you deal with it?

Hi, I finally got validated today to be able to post, something i am very happy about. I have been reading the posts on the site for the last couple of days and have been excited for the chance to jump in. So I figured what better way than to just tell all about me, in book form! lol. I am 29 yrs old and i live in Louisville, Ky. I am married and have three children. I have been seeing a psychologist (herein referred to as "psych") for about a year now for a lot of things, all of which I am about to go into. Please forgive me for just kind of dumping all of this right off the bat, I have been in need of someone, people, to talk to for some time now. When I wa…

Trying again to say hello. Hope everyone is well. Again I've never been on any forum before and hope to make some good friends on here. I'm pretty easy-going and quiet. I don't consider myself a great writer or a great mind and I think my original message was taken a little out of context. I very much find Pre-op TG's very attractive but also completely love girls too. I live in Leeds in the UK and I'm off out with a friend tonight to see the Ladyboys of Bangkok. Have no idea what to expect. I'll speak more about myself as I get more confident on here....!!! Andy x

Hello my name is Ariana (or at least I think I want it to be) I am AMAB 30 years old and think I am experiencing gender dysphoria. I struggle because I have a lot of repressed memories from my childhood. The first time I can remember experiencing wanting to be a girl physically was when is was 10 years old although I have glimpses of a memory of being younger and remember my conservative Christian grandmother saying something to me (I can’t remember what) that makes me feel sick to my stomach but it’s such a distorted memory it’s hard for me to tell if it ever happened. When I was 10 the Scooby Doo movie. There is a scene where Fred’s soul gets trapped in Daphne’s body. I…

Hi everyone! My name is Jennifer. I'm 29 years old and I've been living as my true self since Christmas. I guess you could say it was a wonderful Christmas present to myself. It seems that all of my major moments have happened on extraordinary days, but I didn't intend it to be that way. The day that I finally decided that I was going to be true to myself was July 4th. Independence Day now has a much greater significance to me. :)

I am a 82 year old retired professional living in North London, UK. I have cross dressed all my life, mostly in the closet. It was not until I was able to access Newsgroups that I realised I was transsexual. Started hormones some eleven years ago, a decision which I have never regretted. I did not tell my wife about either the crossdressing or the hormones. When we met and married we were living under barrack-like conditions where crossdressing was not possible and later I did not tell her because I, correctly, felt she would not accept. Eventually my wife found some of my hormone tablets I had carelessly left out and demanded to know what they were for. Ther…

Hi there! I finally decided to come out of hiding lol I've read many things here and found that I related to a lot of it. Well I guess I should say a little about myself. I've known for a long time that I should be female but was forced to act like my physical body's sex or at least try. I just don't know what to do about it. I can't tell anyone that's in my life about it. I could never tell my parents because they would never understand and I have no friends. I have a brother but we've been enemies for years. There have been many problems in my life and all those problems have been inside me. All the time, silently I had to deal with the torment inside while on the …
