ok so is it wrong of me to be always cautious and suspicious of every male i encounter? i mean i know not all men are pigs and stuff but being that i used to be a male, i know what most of them think of and want, and tend to think with their you know whats. maybe its fear cause im afraid that being hit on by one will turn out to be too creepy for me...i dont know....lately ive been just wary of guys who want to chat with me especially on my virtual game i play.

Visited my dad the other day, and he asked me what my middle initial 'D' stood for. Told him Daniel. He got this big smile on his face and told me that was his grandfathers name. He was very pleased. I told him the reason I chose that middle name is because of it's meaning. 'Only God is my judge.' He was surprised to know that, and I am happy to know that it is also a family name. Awesome!!

Just heard a song from the past that reminds me how far we have come and how far we need to go. The song is George Thorogood, Bad to the bone. I remember back in 1990, I was dealing with a therapist that would not hear of my gender issues. I got so mad that I drove my car under her window, blasted this song and started dancing on my car. Hi everyone, I recently started volunteering at Identity House - a volunteer group in NYC that provides peer counseling, support groups, and therapy referrals for LGBT people - and a term has been used in various settings there that I wanted to ask people here about. Specifically, people will use the term "person of trans experience" - I wanted to see if others had heard that term, and what you think of it? Hi, I'm a freelance journalist who has been commissioned by a UK woman's weekly magazine to write a feature focussing on young British women aged between 18 - 35 whose parent has undergone gender re-assignment. The piece would chart their initial reaction through to their eventual understanding of and acceptance of the issue. 15 min phone call with a local Va hosp that provides care for the LGBT , complete transfer of care and records with in 20 min and appt set for Monday and even a female doc along with a support group etc......down side it is a hour drive vs the 15 min drive from where i am at to other one.. but so worth it as it turns out my current doc has had others patiences (spelling) leave to seek care where i am going , even said my current doc is a .................. but ether way this gal is happy now step 2 of my journey is now starting along with step 3 folllowing soon... all i can really say is that Nicole is one happy and excited woman right now.

I run an online business in my female name. However, my legal name is still my male name (I'm undecided about changing it at this time). I'm about to hire someone who will work for me over the internet; I may never meet him in person. But my legal name will need to be on the contract he signs (I am a sole proprietor, not incorporated at this time). So, I will be presenting him with a contract that has my male name on it. Any suggestions on what to do about this? Should I just be honest but nonchalant about it, like "Here's the contract, please sign it, btw <malename> is my legal name" or what?
