I listened to a program on the internet talking about the popularity of Sarah Palin. When the people who like were asked what she stands for, the respondents were vague in their answers. When asked about what Palin would do on policies such as foreign policy, the respondents didn't have a clue. It's really sad that these people judged their love of Palin on peripheral qualities rather anything concrete or tangible. This parallels what most people understand about ENDA, gay marriage, and transgender identity. Political correctness is the rule of the day rather than critical thinking. Hi all. I have been working with a state rep in changing DMV rulings regarding changing one's gender marker on a drivers license. One thing this state rep asked me to find out is....how many NH trans people does the current policy, that requires complete surgery, a hardship? Seems like all the NH support groups that I knew in the past, have vanished. So, I am asking here. And, if there are NH trans people here, that have other contacts, info on support groups, please ask them. I don't need names...I just need numbers. Thank you for any and all info.

While I don't think about gender 24/7, its presence lurks over my shoulder. Whenever i'm out and about, seeing genetic women reminds me of the similarities and differences we possess. The differences have become less noticeable but it's still there. I've never felt guilty or ashamed about being transgender; I embraced it. I’m falling back into hopelessness when I think about transitioning. I can get electrolysis. I’m going under the needle Tuesday. But when I think about everything else, reality hits so hard I think I’m gonna puke. I’ll never be able to fully transition and get a female body. I could never afford it. I went for an analysis of my hairline and to bring it forward to refill my receding hairline, it would cost $14k. I don’t have that kind of money. And I never will. This might sound odd but I need to find some answers. My husband has mentioned that he could be a transgender. He has felt like he is a female since he was about 7 or 8 years old. This is what I did to get the gender designation mark changed on my driver licenses. First, I found this video in which the professor told the class to check the laws in the state that they lived in. I call up DMV here in California and found out to change the M to F all I need to do is get the form and have my doctor sign it. I'm asking this of everyone, regardless of age. If you came out fully, and told your parents, how did they react? I haven't come out to anyone, but that's because I cut them out of my life. So there's no one to come out to other than my wife, which I did several years ago. I've been in full transition for 3½ years now. I am just curious how many of us are married. I am married , 5 kids all grown . My wife is not only understanding but my biggest support and has gone as far as to give me her blessings for a full transition without fear of loosing her. It is awsome to me , as she helps me in every way imaginable. So how many of us are there and how is your relationship with your SO ?

I live with an old girl friend. We are not the least bit romantic at this point, but we are good friends. She rents a couple of rooms in my home. She wants to babysit for extra cash. She got some replies pretty quickly off of craig's list and invited the people over. We live in the mid west. She thinks it would be totally unacceptable to introduce me as her landlord (because we live in the same house) and people would not be accepting of this.. So, she introduces me as her fiance. I attend an accepting church. My wife and I have become members as of yesterday. There were at least 3 gay couples and 5 or 6 lesbian couples. As far as I know I'm the only transgender person there. My wife and I feel comfortable and have made some friends. I may speak with the pastor about my being transgender. I can honestly say that I feel comfortable about doing this. I'm also sensitive to my wife's feelings. She accepting of my dressing up to a point. Recently, for the first time, she walked beside me on the street while I was dressed. As you can small advances have made. I would make my day when I attend service dressed up.

I recently received a survey from Facebook on behalf of a third party company. Checked the company out and they are indeed a valid survey company. Ok..........I just came out to my first person ever.......I don't mean I'm gay (that too) but I mean the whole CD TG thing. I have been out for nearly seven years now. There have been many improvements and changes. Protections for GLBT persons are law in many counties, towns, states, and countries. There is also more backlashes because we dare to make our voices heard. Transgender Day of Remembrance reminds me that we’re still in a fight. What is encouraging is that more people are seeing through the labyrinth of lies thrown up by our enemies. I am seeing cracks in the armor of seemingly impenetrable social institutions because people are being educated about gender and sexuality. The church is one such institution.
