Well, it has been 4-months now that I've been seeing my therapist, and during the 3thrd month, she addressed the situation to my attention, that financially I would never have enough to start my hormone therapy nor surgery to change myself from MTF. I thought that this would had been the last of us seeing each other, but my therapist arranged another appointment for me to come in to see her. I questioned myself about why should I bother to come in to see her anymore, since I'll never have the money to complete my transitioning? Now this is the twist to everything, she also insisted for me to make an appointment with another gender specialist, but she is more advance and d…

A little shocked to see one of those KY sensation stuff commercials last evening featuring a gay female couple. I realize this isnt tg related, but i was still shocked. I also thought how cool that we've come this far that a sexual aid featuring a gay couple made it on mainstream tv. Nothing gay related on tv when i was younger. But, i did not appreciate ky commercials featuring anyone obviously using it for sex, being on at 6pm on regular tv. C'mon really ? Sitting with my 11 year old neice watching history channel? Did not appreciate that.

I was sitting here thinking just now. I got a text a couple weeks ago from someone that I cut out of my life several years ago. They asked if this was "Jared or Jennifer". How they found out my name since I changed it several years ago, I don't know. I'm not going to give my last name, but my first and middle were Jared Anderson. I always liked the names. But he is dead. And sitting here thinking about it, I realized that once in a rare while I kinda miss the names. Not often mind you. Heck, it never even pops in my mind much anymore. I don't miss anything else, just the names. Is that weird? Is it just me, or does anyone else feel the same way from time to time? If …

I was asked by the leader of our bimonthly fellowship if I would like to teach a lesson. I said that I would. I am the only transgender person in the group so this is a welcome opportunity share what it is to be a gender variant individual. Transgender basics about the different expressions of gender and the role transgender people have played in history are a couple of topics that I have in mind. There are probably other topics that could be discussed. I'll have to think about it. I welcome the opportunity to share what it is to be transgender and a cross dresser. I love to share my experiences in hope that others will be encouraged. Gennee :D

I've been really busy with school for a long time, and now I'm leaving to find a job--hopefully there's good work out there for someone with a Master's in math. I'm looking into becoming an actuary or a government mathematician. Now that I have time to post things here, I thought I'd tell you all how things have been going, for those members who remember me. I started a thread some time ago, about baby hunger and how awful it is for us to be unable to have babies. Like some of the people who responded to that thread, I solved that problem by finding the right species of pet for me. Last September, I adopted two female guinea pigs, and since then, we have added t…

Good evening! I'm trying to find places to go in Toledo. I don't actually live in the city so it's not really practical to just go all over asking bartenders to describe club climates to me but I will if I have to. My spouse is not yet certain what he's looking at in himself, and isn't ready to have any of this spill over into his day to day life until he's worked through his confusion, and I support however he wants to deal with this. He grew up in a bullying environment and is rather shy, so I thought I would try to see if I could reach out and get some recommendations. He has expressed interest to me in going out together with him in dress, only neither of us have…

It's a curious thing this state called Life. We undergo a great many things in it, some good, some bad, and some a little of both, but never in my years has it ever been easy, never has it been handed over just because I was told "oh you deserve it", do I what did I ever do to deserve something I never worked for. I was born by the skin of my teeth, I was never meant to make it full term because of blood compatibility with my mother, but hay I showed death up I was born, then at age two due to allergic reactions to dairy I almost. Died again, almost drown at age six, attempted suicide more times then I care to admit, born into a life of poverty few know I…

My next appointment is now one week away, and I'm nervous. Its been three months since my last appointment and things have been going great, which makes me more nervous than ever. Now I know site rules on dosage info so I will do my best as that's concerned. But it dose make this harder to explain. In one week I will have been on HRT for nine months. I started on a typical low starting dose. After three months at my follow up appointment they doubled my dose of both anti-androgen and estradiol. At that point things began happening and I was so happy just to have some progress, even small. At my next appointment I told my doctor as much. After some general questi…

Wired magazine recently had a blurb along the lines of "When a transgendered one has gotta go, where?" They answered with http://www.safe2pee.org. I checked, the site is real and created by self-described genderqueers with anarchist tendencies. You can search, add, upload photos, etc. Search is by city and state but includes Canada, too. Check it out before you go out!

I know I am new here but after reading some of these posts I wonder how many others feel the same. As with my family and co workers they claim to be Religous and according to the Bible being gay or Trans is not Gods way and is a sin. First there are those who claim to be Religous but havent been to a church in years or maybe their whole life and those like my family who are very strict in their Religous beliefs and do go to church. Both these groups are quick to point a finger at some one and are predjuice towards anyone who is not like them. They hate people of color because they are not like them, they hate gays because they say it is a sin. Well I may be wrong, but doe…

I tried this test quite a few years ago. It's a series of visual challenges and questions used by psychologists to define your Sex ID or Brain Sex. I don't think tests like these are an exact science, though I was quite relieved that my brain was ID'd as female. Sex ID

You came here hoping to what? Learn something or be rolled in sugar and told how great you are. Well tell me, why are you here Are you in need of truthful answers or softball regergitated platitudes like all the other LGBT sites. Can you handle being told the cold realities about Life, Death and everything in between, including and not limited to truth about Transition in the real world. I want, no I need to know .

Just a discussion on the "inheritability" of the transgender condition. I'm kind of interested because I have an aunt that is a lesbian, and I'm guessing that there could be genetic traits that can be inherited which would allow for someones child to be born G. L. B. or T. Discuss?

I have had a few crying jags of late. Last week, it was about a female coworker with a sore on her arm. This week, I'm not really suret what it was over. It just kind'a happened. I am not really concerned. I just wanted to say this is happening to me. Sometimes, I feel really good about it afterwards. This is the worst Haiku ever. I see something bad, I take it to me I cry, I shed tears My tears, they do good At least, I hope so I see something good I take it to me I cry, I shed tears My tears, they do good I like to think so I cry, the wind blows I take it to me I cry, I shed tears My tears, they do good I know not where, how

Laverne Cox, 06/19/2012 4:38 pm "...I was reminded that we do ourselves a disservice when we think of fighting for our civil rights piecemeal. In a patriarchal culture, we can't really fully talk about eradicating sexism without talking about eradicating homophobia, as well. So much systemic male domination has occurred because the patriarch doesn't want to appear "soft," which in the homophobic, sexist imagination means "gay," which, within that oppressive logic, also means "like a woman." Historically, many patriarchal men have oppressed women so as to not seem "gay," which, for the patriarch, means, in part, having his masculinity called into question. The patriarch h…

I have been very tired and busy for a while now. Came out to some friends and family that just went well almost totally ignored by everyone. I am having some medical problems. Stress at work piling up. I may be starting Spyro soon hopefully. Life is just getting out of hand. I have been working with a therapist for a while now and that helps a lot. I have a lot of dysphoria all the time and anxiety issues. Hopefully things start working out soon.

I'm sure that many mtfs here can get quite jealous seeing other girls just so happy and carefree with their bodies. I definately do, and it can get so bad that I have to turn away. However even worse is watching a girl on a date, or pdaing with her boyfriend in public. The pangs of jealousy I get are akin to rage. It's like the frustration of knowing that I've never been in her position, and probably will not for years builds up, and then rubbed in my face. It's horrible. It used to simply create misogynist feelings in myself, but now it's gotta be just crazy jealousy. Sounds silly, I know, but does anyone else have similar feelings?

Lately I've been noticing a lot of people e.g. cashiers saying something that sounds a great deal like "Can I help you, man?" Now, there's a nice big stoner culture here and people are pretty laid back, so this would not be all that surprising, to be addressed that way when perceived male. But I realized I've been hearing it a lot more lately (more than previously, enough for me to take note of it anyway) and I'm not completely sure that's what they're saying. I realized all I can really hear is "ma" and some sort of closed-lip consonant. In Japanese, a "single letter" n/m syllable are the same thing (much like the well-known r/l thing). These are very similar sounds. …

Hi! Long time! I hope all of you are doing good. It isn't always just a cliche when you are happy to wake up to another day. That is sometimes the easiest thing about being a Transgender person, nothing else is quite so automatic. You know what I'm talking about. Anyway, I told you I would tell you when my episode of "Sex Change Hospital" (I know, I know, the title is?.....) was going to air. Well, that will be this Tuesday, November 4th, a big day on the tube for important stuff- but, late that night, @11 P.M. Eastern on WEtv, is Episode 4, featuring.... ME! It is my contribution to public understanding (awareness?) of TG existence.....And sure it is imperfect, but w…

I read through some of my old writings prior to and after I came out. I was a jumble of confusion and longing. I was confused about my gender. At the same time I wanted to break out of my so-called normal existence. After I came out, I grew into my new identity as a transgender person. I absorbed every experience that came my way. My gender issues stretched as far back as 2000. I didn't know what I was wrestling with at that time. It was much bigger than I imagined. I always believed that we possess both feminine and masculine traits. Why some are equated with one gender and not the other is beyond me. It shows the fallacy of the gender binary system when someone goes …
