Anyone have a favorite binder or compression shirt? I’ve tried gc2b but they didn’t work. I have back problems and couldn’t keep it on for more than an hour without extreme pain.

Well my support system and girlfriend has left me she figured it was way to much for her to handle. I'm honestly not that tore up over it I guess that's because I realized it was better to rely in yourself then on others. I am happy I could just use some friends and I'm waiting for right guy or girl to come into my life. So has anyone else been told some horrible things during a breakup. Example: your worthless... Your not a man your just f-----d up in the head...

I sorta wondered at the purpose of this article since there's really nothing in it that most of us don't already know. I thought maybe the reporter had bumped into Bono during some recent event or something, but there is no indication of that in the article. It appears after a couple of paragraphs, however, that the reporter was simply cashing in on a tabloid article published before this one - which, by the way, seemed pretty decent. -dml _______________________________ After the son of gay icon Cher and Sonny Bono went on Dancing With The Stars, he received extremely harsh backlash 26 October 2012 | By Joe Morgan Chaz Bono, one of the most famous transgende…

I saw the links on the other thread for this, and I checked out a few. I requested a binder from the Big Brothers, and got one. Thing is, embarrassingly, even though its the right side, I'm not sure how to put it on. It wont go over my head or on like a pair of pants. I mean I could force it on but then wont it get stuck when I go to take it off? I'm sure the outcome looks great, but how do you guys do it? Lucky

Hi all, I've been wearing Underworks' 988 model for about a year now. I've lost some weight, so it's actually a little big now. I had to put it in the dryer so it would shrink back to a size that wouldn't make me look "chesty." Eventually I'll probably have to cave to buy a small, but I've got to make due with what I've got for now. My only problem is that I've developed somewhat severe chest pains. It used to only hurt when I took off my binder, but now it hurts when any additional pressure is put on my rib cage (wearing the binder or not). I try to be stealth at my university, but I get "she'd" and "ma'am'd" a fair amount regardless of the binding. I use the me…

We've all seen the variety of commercials that have recently bombarded us telling men how to get their youth back - they just need a boost of T. ABC News recently did a report that indicated researchers in Texas are concerned about the number of men on T. They claim that prescriptions have tripled among men older than 40, but a quarter of them haven't even had their levels checked. Doctors are concerned that increased testosterone "raises the risk of prostate cancer and liver damage." Are prescribers inadvertantly creating a problem for [trans]men? Could the sudden increase of the use of T by cisgender men trigger added restrictions and affect how [trans]men a…

I haven't posted here for a while. Been transitioning since 2003. It's been a tough road...transitioning in the same place , same job, family and friend opposition. But, today, I feel like the end is in sight. Talked to my Dad today. A person that has never accepted my transition. And, in our conversation, my dad said, "I wish i could be the man you are. You are a good man." Wow.. I can't even put into words how great that feels. Been a long time waiting for. Guess I just wanted to share this to let all of you know.....no matter how long it takes....never give up on being you!

Hey Guys Well, I finally got enough guts up to tell my wife that I am a transman. Her response was -- well duh, your the last to know. Not what I exactly expected but still it's good. it felt like such a relief to tell someone who knows me personally. Plus it made me finally admit it to myself. I have been saying I am gender queer for months -- I don't know why I was stuck there. However, I was at the fair and walking around thinking about things and realized that it wasn't genderqueer that I should be but transman. I don't want people to wonder which gender I am. I am a guy. I don't want anything to do with being a woman. I have already had a consultation…

So I'm just starting to apply for colleges.... But when i move out for school I want to start Transitioning... So.... on my applications when it says sex/gender, do I put female or male? I'd feel extremely comfortable if I could put male but it's not what my teachers, transcript birth certificate or so on say. What about when I apply for housing? If the school offers co-ed housing I should just go with that right? How do I explain myself to others? I mean, in my school ( or on my bus rather) everyone calls me a tranny and I feel like it's extremely rude to do that.... What do I say? Thanks, Vick.

I am interested in learning more about the transgender community. I am a heterosexual woman living in Oregon and I would love to have a casual conversation to understand the impact of the social and cultural barriers in your lives. I am seeking a mental health counseling degree and would love the opportunity to get to know your experiences. Seeking enlightenment, so I can better serve all peoples...

The story is old, but it's another reflection of the trials transpeople face. A Lawsuit’s Unusual Question: Who Is a Man? By RICHARD PÉREZ-PEÑA Published: April 10, 2011 "In its January filing, Urban Treatment said that firing Mr. Devoureau was legitimate, “since the sex of the employee engaged in that particular job position is a bona fide occupational qualification” — implying that Mr. Devoureau was not really a man. " -nytimes.com A businessmanagementdaily.com article in June 2011 alluded to Devoureau's former manager having possibly "violated the ADA and the NJLAD when she asked if Devoureau has undergone surgery." And in a .pdf copy of the suit filed in C…

I found this very nice article in Huffington Post this morning. Of course I don't know how accurate its headline is but at least I think it's well-written and intentioned: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jamie-davis-smith/everything-you-wanted-to-know-about-being-a-trans-man-but-were-afraid-to-ask_b_6708606.html?utm_hp_ref=transgender Emma

I was inspired by the laser hair removal thread Do any of you guys have facial hair? If you do, is it just naturally there or do you shave to make it thicker or what? I was just wondering because I have what could be considered "peach fuzz", so I can say I have a small 'stache.

I received the papers in the mail Friday from the judge!! He signed the paper for my official gender change!! He sent me 2 copies free of charge!! They must have found the file! I'm so relieved that I didn't have to refile, although the judge said I didn't have to pay again because it was their mistake for losing the file in the first place. Next week I will go to DMV and get my new DL. waaaaaaahooooooooo Just a little excited!! LOL Ethan

Therapist finally gave me the referral for top surgery!! My surgery date is on 11/28/2006. I am so excited. Flight arrangements and hotel room is reserved. I have chosen to have surgery with Dr. Raphael because he is cheaper than Dr. Brownstein and Dr. R has a good reputation! I have met an FTM in Dallas and he has helped me out ALOT! He is arranging for me to have visits from other FTM's in the area and they too have either had top surgery or in the process of having it done! So far the assistants in Dr. Raphael's office have been OUTSTANDING! Janie has been awesome! She sent me info on local hotels, transportation to and from airport, and with Sean's name as …

I've been "lurking" here a while... and... I think I'm finally going to burden everyone with my silly juvenile frustration. I "came out" to my mother a few weeks ago (uh... accidentally, she found a note a wrote her that I hadn't actually planned on giving her), and she seems to be taking it well. She was in denial at first, but yesterday she said something along the lines of, "Well, if that's the way it is, that's the way it is" in regards to my "wanting to be a boy". I'm 18, if that makes a difference to anything. Sometimes I doubt myself and what I feel because I'm so young. I feel I'm ready though to try therapy, but I'm not sure how to go about it. Is ther…

As I've not been around the board for more than a couple days, I don't know how appropriate this seems but I suppose the main reason for reaching out is that I'm kind of looking for a "big brother" of sorts, someone who's started transitioning and who can potentially take me under their hypothetical wing. I've only come out to myself this last week or so, as well as to my girlfriend and one other person, but that's it. I feel a little stranded and I feel like I need someone who knows what I'm going through and dealing with, among other things. So yeah .. any guys willing to take a little fellow like me under their wing?
