So I saw my therapist this morning who specializes in gender issues, etc. He says that I should be able to get approved in November to start Testosterone! And I am going to see a surgeon on the 13th for top surgery consultation and possibly about a hysterectomy [sp?] . So things are moving along nicely. I was just wondering about how the process regarding testosterone and surgery went for everyone else. I am always very interested in hearing other stories. What was your favorite aspect of starting testosterone and your least favorite? How about for top surgery? Favorite part? Least? Has anyone gotten a hysterectomy? What was it like? How long did it tak…

Dennis Starr, formerly Dennis Croft, a star in the reality show "Small Town Security" had top surgery during the show's second season. Starr had to endure an exam so that it could be determined if the offending breast tissue was healthy enough to be removed. The results of the exam deemed all was well, but apparently the idea of destroying healthy caused him a moment of pause. Would knowing the breast tissue you wanted to be rid of was healthy stop you from going thru with top surgery? Or even make you think twice? -Mike Once Dennis Croft, AMC's 'Starr' Discusses Top Surgery 6.28.2013 | By Andrew Belonsky

Angus Chen | July 10 2015 12:48 PM EDT "Dr. Loren Schechter, a plastic surgeon who has performed female-to-male confirmation surgeries for over a decade, estimates that complications, specifically with issues related to urination, can arise in 30% to 50% of cases. Even if all goes well, a sculpted phallus might be a far cry from a realistic penis. “If I end up looking at a little pink skin sock at my groin, not only may I feel incomplete, but I’ll think, Oh my God, I’m mangled,” Crowley says." -- out.com The Battle to Replicate the Body’s Most Complex Organ

Hi guys... I'm going to have to word this really carefully to not get 'funny looks' and generally be thought of as 'not being wuite with it' as far as TG theory goes... So a couple of things.... I totally understand that gender identity and sexuality are separate... I think they are related, but yes, separate. I'm always really interested in how other people think, feel, are driven etc... [i want to be a writer.. well I have written, I'm just not published. ] So I'm also intrested in people who are different to me... and in the TG sphere, I'm a GB (genetic boy... I see the term GG quite a bit so I guess GB makes some kind of sense)... and…

I just saw this article and thought I would bring it to your attention. Thinx launches line of underwear for transgender men who get their periods Remember Thinx? The company has been making headlines this year for their line of period-friendly panties. Now, they’re back in the spotlight, this time for a line of underwear geared at transgender men. This weekend, Thinx announced the launch of their new “boyshort,” a gender-neutral design with a 4-layer absorbent, leak-proof insert that holds up to a tampon-worth of fluid. https://ca.style.yahoo.com/post/133407922920/thinx-launches-line-of-underwear-for-transgender

What Trans Men See That Women Don't Very interesting article for me too as I was AMAB and have transitioned to female. I've often read about how T is so powerful, that it makes trans men (and, presumably cis-men) feel more powerful and aggressive. Well, I never felt that way! Maybe that was because I always was a trans woman irrespective of hormones? Please add your thoughts. I'd love to hear from you and correspond about this fascinating topic! P.S. At the top of the Time webpage is a short video that was very interesting to watch.

Twins get sex-change surgery in Shanghai People's Daily Online They kept their shared secret from the family until last year when they came across news online that transsexual surgeries were available in Shanghai. They used the words "stunned" and "embarrassed" to describe the reaction of their parents and older... This is very interesting. It's the first case I'm aware of where twins have both been transgender. I hope they will somehow find acceptance and be allowed to live their lives happily. ~ Lori

Mr Camerons exhibit documents his own personal journey and his work has been shown at Universities around the world. However, Critics have described the event as potentially 'offensive' and have suggested there is a better way to spend the money and that it's not the best use of taxpayers resources. Firstly if anyone thinks they will be offended by Mr Cameron's work don't go and see it. I think the money was very well spent, He's an award winning photograp…
