The following is from a letter written by Converge Orlando executive director, Mikael Audebert. He very eloquently laced his thanks to the Florida Family Association with a generous dose of sarcasm, and worded the irony produced by the situation with grace and diplomacy of the best kind... -Mike Zack Ford | Jun 4, 2013 9:00 am "Next year, why don’t you just write a check directly to Converge Orlando to further promote LGBT tourism to our region? While I doubt you will take me up on this suggestion, I nonetheless look forward to working with you again next year in supporting another successful Gay Days." --thinkprogress.org Florida ‘Family’ Group Thanked F…

Given the extreme temperatures we have had this winter, be sure to keep a check on the air in your tires. The extreme changes and cold can cause your tires to lose air. Just a reminder to all my friends here.

Is anyone else into this? I’ve gotten into BattleBots like crazy here over the last couple months. Also has anyone had enough interest to try to put together a team and get a bot together? I do. I even have a design for a bot that would be pretty lethal in the arena. I just don’t know anything about engineering, so I don’t have a clue how to build a bot. If anyone has enough interest let’s hear it. Maybe......... who knows?

Scott Newman | January 04, 2018 - 4:05 AM ET ...The problem impacts processors going back more than two decades and could let hackers access passwords, encryption keys or sensitive information open in applications," -- npr.org Intel Acknowledges Chip-Level Security Vulnerability In Processors _____________________________________________________ I first heard about this this evening on the NBC Nightly News. This article seems to mention by name only computers and smartphones. But news on TV seemed to indicate that basically ANYthing that has a processor is vulnerable - computers (both lap- and desktops), tablets, smart phones, etc., regardless of brand. I would think …

I work nights. So at 10 pm last night I was outside having my morning coffee. And where I live, the sky was so clear that the stars were amazing. I even saw something that I have only seen once before. An exploding star. So, when I got my head out of the stars, I looked down, and standing about 4 feet away is a skunk. Kind of looking at me as if to say, "what are you staring at?" Knowing skunks do not have great eye sight, I stood up and told him, " Hey buddy, not so close." He took off and made for the back lawn. Oh the hazards of a bright sky.

So, my brother in law was at my Mom's to clear the snow off the roofs. My 84 year old Mom tells him she will do the garage roof because she wants the exercise. So, in cleaning of the garage she sinks in the snow up to her waist. She finally was able to crawl out on her hands and knees. And she calls, laughing. I am so amazed at my Mom. At her age, the physical, mental and spiritual strength she has, amazes me. Yea, I have an amazing Mom.

Strange topic, I know but it's something I have been thinking about. Does anyone do anything charitable? I don't mean something like donating to the Red Cross, I mean something you just take upon yourself to do. It could be said that I do. During summer I pick up packs of water, like the ones that have 30 bottles. I bring them home, put them in a cooler and ice them down. Then I head out and start giving them out. I give them to the homeless, people who are working outside, or people that just look like they need a cold drink. It gets extremely hot in Missouri during the summer, but that's only the beginning of it. It's also humid enough that people have …

What resolutions, if any, have you made for 2013? Personally...I've not really made any. Least ways, none I've definitely committed to. I have this knack of absently thinking about things in the back of my mind...things I want to do. But, it's like I leave it open for various possibilites. Sorta like a [horror] movie that, toward the end, it appears that everything is resolved and the creatures have all been killed. But while everyone walks off into the sunset, a creepy kinda music builds, and you wonder.... Interesting reading: History of New Year's Resolutions New Year's Resolution

  14. Wow. And I thought I had a lot of guns. I'm 100% sure he has modified at least one of those rifles to be fully automatic. Which adds another felony on top of his crimes. Not even the military is fully automatic. They only employ a 3 shot burst. At least with the M16's.

  15. Just curious. I decided to go out as a Playboy bunny, a friend had a custom for me and it fit well and makes my legs look fantastic.

Note: I wasn't sure where to post this. I didn't think it really fell under "general transgender discussion Depite being posted in the "O-T & H Forum," it is not meant to be humorous. -------------------------------------------- I'm sure, for those members who frequent the photo gallery, you are familiar with some of the images posted there. And of course, there are the occasional pix that moderators have to remove because they are not appropriate for the TGG forums. Now, it is not my intent to embarrass or offend anyone...but there's something that I have wanted to ask for a long time. I hope the topic can be discussed with respect as it is possibly a touc…

  20. _________________________________________________________ TSA seems to prove at every turn that they have no respect or regard for anyone, and seem to deal with passengers with some special brand of contempt. Even in a statement in an update to the article, their attitude seems to clearly indicate that they don't believe one of their agents acted as was reported. If this story is true, which I have no reason to believe it isn't, I can only believe that if TSA has agents who have no respect for the remains of someone's loved one... how can we ever expect them to have respect for transpeople? Respect is respect no matter where it comes from, and no matter to where i…

  22. There aren't very many articles or videos that get to me. Maybe I'm just getting old and soft. Or maybe because it was too easy to replace "gay" with "trans" in some of the quoted statements in this article... Lucas Grindley, September 22 2012 11:58 AM ET ""I didn't want to call myself gay because gay meant you' re broken," one officer remembers. Another was afraid being gay might stop him from becoming an officer. "One woman cries as she remembers being told that being gay "is very biblically wrong and I don't want to see you go to hell." "Another came out on her birthday and was told by her family that they didn't want to hear from her again until she was st…

So with all the budget cuts, the cuts that only affect people that really need the help, well after being at my Dad's today, I am ticked. My Dad used to have this great nurse that took care of all his meds. Due to budget cuts, all the competent people at the VA have been re-positioned, and all the idiots are taking over. In checking my Dad's pill boxes, this person that is supposed to know what they are doing had screwed them all up. Double doses of this...zero doses of that. And, for the past 2-3 days my dad had told me he wasn't feeling well. Could not eat. Etc. Now I know why. To think this is how the US treats their veterans. Party on at the White House!

  24. I got 4 female rats today. They're actually family. My little guy Oreo is blood. His mom and 3 of his sisters came to live with us today. The woman I got him from was no longer able to care for them due to schooling, so I bought them. They're so adorable. I'll post pictures when I can get good ones, but for now I'll just give the names. The mother of the litter is Possum. She looks just like a mini opossum. The other 3 are Bat Rat, Nibbler, and Storm Cloud (aka Stormy). They're obviously all female as I've already said. I'm considering letting Redeemer breed with the matriarch once or twice. I can't let Oreo breed for obvious reasons. Skunk and Money, wouldn't be a good i…
