Hello ladies, I am hoping someone can provide me with some advice about my HRT regimen. I have been on HRT for 3 years now. There was an increase in my dosage after the first 6 months but none since. Some others have told me lately that my dosage may be too low. I have been doing some research on the web and it may appear that it is. I plan on speaking with my doctor next week about this I would love and appreciate and advice anyone can provide to me. Thanks so much :)

Has anyone actually had morning sickness when starting HRT? I understand when starting it can be like being pregnant and morning sickness is very possible. Anyone had experience with this?

a thought occurred to me today...so if you ladies don't mind, i'd like to ask a question. from what i understand, one of the reasons your HRT must be monitored is because of the stress hormones put on your liver. why is it that most HRT for the ladies is via pill form rather than the delivery method most common for the guys which is via injection? -michael

So I'm still researching this and I was wondering if, before starting hrt, do I want to loose the excess fat I have and then build that back in the right places once on hormones? Or keep the fat I have and let the hormones do their thing.

Hi fellow Earthlings. To the point. The end (at last) is in sight for me being prescribed hrt. I am sure I will not be alone here by what I now describe. There is a constant battle within me, antagonistic forces which causes me distress. On one side is my aspirational commitment to transition while on the other is the associated guilt of inflicting such change on those I love, especially my wife of 30 years. The question therefore is addressed to those who have shared the conflict. Does hrt calm the turmoil? I realise that it can bring about the ethereal sense of well being so often articulated with difficulty but does it do anything about the torment of guilt? Tha…

So...I'm new to this forum. Thought I would get that out of the way. I've been on HRT now since 2005. Lately I'm noticing that no matter what I do I keep gaining weight. When I started HRT I was at 145 lbs. I've been low carb ever since 2002 and I don't cheat. I'm 53 now and I noticed the weight gain started around 48. I'm now at 199 and I just keep gaining. I'm training with a personal trainer 2 times a week, I attend team training 2 times a week and I do yoga 2 times a week. Getting super frustrated and depressed. Any insights would be welcome at this point.

With all the talk about the side effect of hormones, does anyone know which form is best? Is it better to go the patch route or the gel. Is one pill safer than another? I use the sublingual form which is said to go directly into the blood stream thus avoiding liver damage. Would the patch be better? I sure could use some opinions from girls that are more experienced than me. :)

I'm 20 and i've been on hrt for 10 months (going on 11), and I've noticed that my hips are widening. The reason I raise the issue is that i'm thin enough that I can see the edge of my hip bone, so it's not fat. And all the HRT faqs i ever read said that hrt wouldn't effect bone structure. But after talking to some other transsexuals my age that doesn't seem to be the case at all. It's certainly not my imagination, i've gained 1.1" to my hips, at the point where I can feel the bone under the skin (clearly visible as well, trust me, i'm pretty skinny). Young transsexuals seem to experience a widening of the hips in some cases, thats not strictly due to fat. So I just …

It's easy to find info about all the good things HRT can give you. GirlInside's site (the 'warning' page) got me thinking though... what are all the bad things that can happen? What are the worst case scenarios, and how common are they? I know it's probably dependent on the exact medications, e.g. spironolactone causing problems with potassium and thus you can't drink much orange juice or eat too much banana, and you sometimes get light headed standing up. I've heard things about bone structure damage but I'm not sure what that's caused by either. (Too long on a T-blocker without estrogen?) And while we're here I might as well add FFS and SRS to that. All the guys i…

  14. Hi to all, I am new on this forum. One of the reasons that I have joined is that I am hoping that I could hear from any members with any experiences with facial feminisation surgery. I have been searching the internet however I seem to be having trouble in finding too much in the way of genuine independent reviews etc. I will kick off by asking if anyone might of heard or have had any personal dealings with a company in Lima in Peru called Femilife. I have contacted them and they have provided prices and procedural information that seem to be really quite reasonable. I have tried asking them if I could communicate with any of their ex clients and they have not …

I am more like a girl in how I feel and perceive things but I am born male and live a male life. I am married with a son who I care for more than anything else. I have been a crossdresser since the age of 5 and I have dressed through the years with purge periods. I am very comfortable buying womens clothes and very excited when I can wear them. Obviously I am in the closet. My transgender side is strong and I feel more like a girl. How can I learn to deal with this? Thank you. emmi

Hi everybody, This is the first time I've ever posted to this forum, although I've spend many hours reading posts here and other places. I am a 57 year old MtF transsexual who came out to the world four months ago. I knew since I was 9 or 10 that I felt different about myself. I wanted to do what girls did and wear what girls wore. I wasn't clear about why, but I knew it was true. I never was able to fit into any group of guys. They made uncomfortable and were generally coarse and gross. I began to cross-dress around 12 years old and did that whenever I could. When I was caught, my parents said it was just a phase. (Yeah, right.) I eventually read about tran…

I need to get to bed and I will, shortly, but quite unexpectedly I found myself crying very hard, earlier tonight. But it doesn't really correlate with the environment, for transition is going well, I pass with little effort, much has been accomplished hormonally ans surgically and I am doing nominally well emotionally - FINALLY. Life is now actually good, but I apparently hit an 'emotional air pocket' tonight quite unexpectedly. [shaking her tired head] I haven't cried that hard in quite some time and it was pretty rough; but at the same time, it is now somewhat rare for me to do so. That is definite progress and most welcome, after a very stormy initial p…

Today was the happiest day of my life. I went to the mailbox and a letter from the Clinic was there. The first thing I thought was of great another bill. I opened it and saw that I had approved for SRS. I cried all day. I made copies and have original framed onthe wall. The world has now opened up. I still can't believe it. For something that has occupied my entire life to be confirmed is awesome. I just hope I am not too old for the surgery. Yes Jolene, there is a Santa Clause !

Hi Everyone, Sorry for starting a new topic. I'm dealing with a lot of jealousy issues with my gender therapist. For years I have felt jealous towards other women. I guess it started back when I was in Grade School and seeing girls going thru puberty and all. I wanted to be them. Then HS I wanted to be the cheerleader. I even was jealous on my wedding day. Although my wife knows all about me I refuse to tell her about things I have been jealous of with her. On my wedding day I wanted to be the Bride. I hated not being the bride. I wanted to be the woman that my wife was that day. Through the years of marriage my jealousy grew stronger, everything from her GG body, to w…

Hi I just turned 18 and I really want to try sex with a tgirl im versatile but I don't know how or where to meet a tgirl and I just want to confirm my sexuality in the most respectful way possible. I've been watchin tgirl porn for 3 years now and I always feel bad after I finish and I don't know if it's just me on a porn tangent or me actually attracted to tgirls.
