I am elderly male, but always been on the feminine side emotionally. Since I have aged my male parts have shrunk considerably and mostly receded, leaving me happy because now I look more female than male. Strangely I have become attracted to my 20 year younger sister in law; I wish I had a vagina. I know all I can ever do is dream about it, I have a very low testosterone level and my breast have grown, I'm wondering will my male parts become almost completely female ?

Over the last couple of weeks I have been finding myself slipping into some of the most full on mood swings I have ever experienced and am assuming that it is being caused by my hormones. I have been taking Androcur and progynova and am due to go and see my doctor tomorrow for the first time in months but am wondering what a lot of you do to cope with the mood swings and the depression. I wonder if some male to female transsexuals experience any change in their sexual orientation by taking estrogen. While I have wished for many years to experience sex as a female with males, I have never been physically attracted to any non-transgendered males. I still am only attracted to females.

Hi all, I've been searching around to see if I can find anyone that does laser hair removal as the woman see at the salon I go to for waxing said that laser would be better for me than any other means of removing hair from the beard area. I've not been able to find anyone in theSouth West UK Somerset area (I'm based in Yeovil) by searching online. Does anyone have any recommendations for anyone? I'm fine and doing great! Yea...it has been quite a ride emotionally and physically up to this point and every once in a awhile my hormones will go all weird on me...LOL...but hey its just how it is. So like all of you I'm sure I have slowly been taking small steps before I finally decided that I needed to transition. I've been watchng a TV show lately about how humans evolved etc etc. This got me thinking to where Transpeople come in to evolution. I mean we must be here for a reason, if we served no purpose evolution/Natural selection would have discarded us a long time ago, but it seems transpeople have always been here for tens of thousnds of years, even in the most ancient of tribes we see trans people. My day began with a visit to my therapist who said she would have my letter of recommendation out the last week of the month. She asked me when you plan to change your name. I said after surgery is performed. She responded with, no need to wait, I will write you a letter for DMZ and said she is on a list with them for this. I just had to tell everyone that I just received my second opinion regarding SRS. I'm so happy! For some reason I was really worried I would be refused, but after an hour long interview the doctor had no problem referring me for surgery. I still have to wait for everything to be processed by the Alberta government so I can get my finding, but that will only take a few weeks at most. Once that's done I can book an appointment in Montreal and then I only need to wait a few months! After a lifetime of waiting it's hard to believe it's so close.

I hear a lot of stuff on this forum about people who felt they were female from their earliest years, But we're ignoring a big section of the transgender community. The truth is that this can hit you at any age. You drink too much, maybe you'll go female. It's not so much about mental attitude (well it is) but more about physical changes to your body, and consequent changes in your mental attitude. I've read recently that mothers who took DES hormones during their 1st trimester (which was common for women in the 1950s who had trouble with pregnancy) may have affected their male babies in utero. The DES (which is essentially a synthetic estrogen) interfered with and reduced the testosterone surge in the middle of the 2nd trimester, which may have led to the male baby's "misalignment" between sex and desired/preferred gender. I had a brain fart and couldn’t think of the correct terminology for the subject, but I think it comes across fairly clear. I have full intentions on reassignment surgery in the future. But I honestly don’t know which way to go. I know if I went for depth I would be using a dilator for the rest of my life. Which sounds like a pain in the butt. Well, it has been six weeks since I made the appointment to see the endocrinologist... and the fateful day is November 1, this Thursday. I can't believe it's already this week (ZOMG!). But now that it's here, I have no idea what to ask. My mind is such the blank. And since I read up on so much on my own, I already know a great deal about medications and effects.
