  3. Hi Everyone Well it has been sixteen months since I started HRT a lot of wonderful changes have taken place over the months. My skin is so much softer. Body fat redistribution is going very well. No more hair on my tummy an chest. Leg hair is finer softer an thinner. Slight facial changes are taking place. Body odor has really changed. Breasts are getting larger an more shapelier, Nipples are not as sore. All female thoughts an emotions now.

When thinking about passing in public the number one critic for years were children. I would get “the stare” and happy they did not say something like “mommy, (while pointing) is that a girl or a man?”. I never did get that done (the verbal aspect) to me but was in constant fear it would happen to me and everyone would stare at me. The reason for bringing this up is having to wait for a pizza tonight for about 15 minutes with a crowded Little Caesars with lots of parents and children, not one odd stare which is the norm now but had me revisit my past memories. Anyways thought it was worth bringing it up as I am sure most trans-people get this at least once or twice. Th…

Been wearing two thumb rings on my right thumb for over three years, I noticed that over the past two months or so they tend to start sliding off. Well today both slide off so I got out my ring sizer and set it to the size of the rings then shrunk it down till it was snug and also capable of removing. The size jumped from a 10 to a 9 and have no clue why. I am in excellent heath (just had my annual physical) so the only thing it could possible be is perhaps hormones. Anyone else here have something similar happen to them?

Went to my Electrologist this week who has been working on my genital region in preparation for surgery and upon arrival she smiles and asked me to fill out a new patient form. I asked why since I have been seeing her for five years now. She responded with “I am starting early with the new you so fill in female for gender”. Next, my face hurt from a huge smile. I am so fortunate to have found this wonderful woman, as she is supportive to my transition. During the last few minutes of working on me she said something like; will to do your bikini line so you can wear a bathing suit. I looked up and said, you are sneaky and we both laughed. Caveat: I have been pleasantly…

I have been on HRT for nine months now and noticed my libido has (finally) appeared to have in a dramatic way tapered off. So I was wondering what others have experienced in their HRT timeline?

When I first started HRT I was told what the amounts were for estradiol and spironlactone and followed my doctor's instructions. Two months ago I went in for blood work, she [upped the spironlactone]. Then I get a call indicating I was to [double it] and that's it. So I am now getting ready for my regular doctor's annual physical and was writing down my doses only to learn my estradiol is at [a higher dose than I thought]. So from now on I am going to read my labels rather than assume. Note: I have two doctors, one whom I have been using for 20 years and the other for preparing for my transition. After transition my regular doctor is going to assume all aspects i…

  10. The following surprises me that after writing it out that I went into more detail than I would have last year which makes me wonder if it’s the hormones or not. Also I should mention last year from time to time got looks like (male or female?) where I was made sometimes but now that has completely changed were I am not being made at all (or at least that is how I see it). Any ways here are some recent thoughts and observations from the past week. Some moments from the past week that made me smile Two woman friends and one daughter and I went out shopping at a mall for about several hours. I purchased two bras at JC Penny but was not in the mood to try them on as…

  12. I live in the state of North Carolina and I'm trying to find the right doctor alot of the doctors offices around me are very religious beliefs offices I'm not saying that it's bad but a lot of them either tell me that they have never studied that in school or it was against their belief I'm asking for help in direction how to go

Hello all these are just some observations I've made along my journey. I would love to know if any body has had similar or contradictory experiences. I still haven't changed my name or gender so all my paperwork appears as my old male self. When I present my I.D. I get a long pause as the person's brain re-aligns. I'm not good at reading faces, so I don't really know what kind of reaction they are having. Most of the time I've been treated kind. One time when I was getting some tests done at the VA a medical tech came out to the waiting room and announced "I need Richard LASTNAME". Sheepishly I approached her. "Richard LASTNAME" she says again in a louder voice. I'…

Hi all, I was on Estradiol for two years before, for reasons beyond my control, I was been cut off in mid December. I may be able to get a resupply in April. My question is: what effects of this lull are going to have on my body? Thank you for any replies in advance.

Hello everyone, It has been a while since I have posted. So I have some good and bad news. But overall things are going well. Better than expected. First and foremost, please allow me to extend my thanks to each and every one of you who post on this site. While I may not have posted much, I have checked in, researched some topics and read a lot of great info and advice. So thanks to all of you. REALLY ! THANKS! The second thing I did after joining this site was to become an active member of the the local support group, and they are great. If you are ever in Tulsa, look up the Gender Outreach Group hosted at the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center http://www.okeq.org/…

Hey everyone, I am a MTF transsexual but I cannot handle it, it is destroying my life. I am currently pre- everything, I have told my doctor and I am waiting for a referral to a gender therapist. This is just so so hard to live. I can't deal with the pain for much longer. I want to move away so I can be my true trans self but I am living in a small remote rural town and I just need to get away so I can be myself. I can't handle being a transsexual, I only found out I was a transsexual last year. Prior to that I had always thought I was male. This is so horrendous to deal with :'( Can anybody help me?

So I'm still researching this and I was wondering if, before starting hrt, do I want to loose the excess fat I have and then build that back in the right places once on hormones? Or keep the fat I have and let the hormones do their thing.

  18. Started by AnnieMay,

Ever since I hit puberty I've thought to myself "this is wrong". Now I'm 25 6'6" 185lbs and I really want to switch. But I don't know if my height will be a problem. Please, some advice would be great.

  19. There is a plethora of information, tips and advice available for women regarding intimate hygiene and grooming in books, magazines and on the Internet. Try looking for similar information specific to pre-op T-girls and you come up cold. Personally, I would have lapped up stuff like that when I started to seriously consider transition, and I’m sure todays and tomorrow’s new girls would as well. I know from what I’ve gone through and from conversations with T-girlfriends that intimate hygiene and grooming is too often a self-taught hit or miss thing for us pre-op girls as we go through our transitions. Most, if not all, of the existing advice for genetic girls makes…

Hi I am wondering if I am transgendered even if I get sexually excited wearing womens clothes sometimes but I also just like to wear and not have this happen? I have in the past enjoyed women's clothes as a pre-teen and and continued off/on over the years. I still sometimes just like to wear womens clothes because it just feels right but can still get sexually excited especially with certain lingerie and fantasizing. I look at sexy women and want to be like them and have bought women's shoes, lingerie, jeans, bras etc and enjoy wearing them. I love the feel of shaved legs pantyhose. I sometimes look transexual (shemale) porn and am sexually excited by this als…

  23. Okay, Here goes Boys and Girls, I hear a lot of chatter but no clear and present support to what is happening or will happen on hormones. Well, it's really sort of a roll of the dice when it comes to HRT , Why ? Answer this as simply as I can, Because You are not Me, nor are You the Gal that posts on some other site telling all about what and what not to be taking for optimal results. Your going to hear a lot of different things, like " Oh, all you need to do is block the production of Testosterone so just take an Anti-Androgen ", and " You should only be Taking a natural 17B Oestrogen ", Or the " you don't need to test every thing just these select tes…

Hi, I have some questions about HRT. I was wondering what effects are typical during the first month. I've been on Spirotonin and Estrofem for about a week now. I have read online that you can feel mental changes within the first few days. It's been a week and honestly I feel 0 effects. [Could] my dosage [be] too low. Just curious what's normal the first month. Transtioning takes years so I'm being patient, but just curious.
