Went to my Electrologist this week who has been working on my genital region in preparation for surgery and upon arrival she smiles and asked me to fill out a new patient form. I asked why since I have been seeing her for five years now. She responded with “I am starting early with the new you so fill in female for gender”. Next, my face hurt from a huge smile. I am so fortunate to have found this wonderful woman, as she is supportive to my transition. During the last few minutes of working on me she said something like; will to do your bikini line so you can wear a bathing suit. I looked up and said, you are sneaky and we both laughed. Caveat: I have been pleasantly…

Hi everyone, I just made an appointment for a consultation with an electrologist next Thursday and wanted to throw out a question - she said that it could be a year, with weekly 1-hour sessions, to finish. At this point I'm just planning to get my face done (the rest was removed via laser) - does that time frame sound right? Thanks! Christie

well im a GG and im not really sure if im a friend or a "REALLY" close friend of this person. ( I them ) i care for them alot. they are currently trying to figure their road out M2F. well they asked me what i thought about taking a low dose of estrogen through a patch. im a little worried that it might effect their chance of getting what they really need from their doctor. and i dont really know too much to actually say anything. and i dont want to stand in the way im really supportive. its just i dont want them to jump so fast without thinking about the risks. well i said as long as they knew all the facts and details then i dont see why not. they said they would…

Does anyone have any good exercise routines. I am really tired of my belly fat and would love to get healthier. I have a bad back several nerves pinched off by crushed discs so it's hard for me at times to get up and down off the floor. I know if I could loose some weight I would not only look better but feel better. I don't want to put in muscle mass just time and loose the belly fat. Get my waist back and everything any ideas would be great. Thanks ladies xoxo

January 20th, 2009. This girl is happy, happy, happy. This past week I received the "FINAL JUDGEMENT OF NAME CHANGE" signed by the judge. Yea, my name is now officially Bobbie Jo per the court, just need to get all of the legal stuff (drivers license, ss card, etc) done. You never realize how many things your name is on until you have to get them all changed. They changed my name in the payroll system at work on Friday, now they are working on changing my email name, etc, etc. Bobbie Jo

See my latest photo Amie 5 months HRTToday I took a little extra time getting ready in the morning and thought I would take a picture of myself to show the progress on the hair removal. I have not shaved for over 3 months and I pluck sporatic hairs every other day. Initially My beard was so thick that I had to shave 2-3 times a day. I have very light sheer make-up on except for a little concealer on my blemishes and upper lip area. I will always need to deal with some shadow until completing electrolyis or possibly after years of plucking. i have not yet had any professional electrolysis. I am very impressed with the results I was able to achieve in only a couple …

Good news, everyone! I'm in the last stages of foreclosure and my abscess is finally getting unmanageable! Okay, that's not really good news... but it's at least development. I was in such an awful stasis and it's nice to see things changing, even if it's for the worse. I have a job that didn't support my family, but now that we moved into a tiny apartment in the city, it does. I still don't have health insurance, but because my condition's gotten so bad, I'm going to spend the hours and hours at a free clinic that I should have done earlier. I feel like I'm in my early 20's again, failing all over the place, but feeling free somehow. Of course, freedom com…

 Hi, it is Virginia again. I have so many fears and questions regarding my transition. I'm I too old for surgery? (47) How do they create a vagina? Is it convincing? Will I be all scared up? What is the average cost. Are there financing programs? - Virginia -

Women's emotions are sort of like the feedback distortion from a speaker. A woman's feelings are more like an electric guitar, but men's emptions are like an acoustic (or sometimes a mandolin). Any thoughts on this?

Hey, I am browsing the internet once again, and this forum But as I always end up, I feel so overwhelmed.. I always end up getting a headache and closing down the browser after a few hours. Simply because I cannot figure out where to start.. I wanna find breast implants, but I always end up on an American site (Wich I don't know if it ship to Europe) I already gotten some make-up Rimmel London Wake me up (Foundation) Rimmel London Wake me up (Consealer) Maybelline Mascarra Loreal Paris (Powder) I like make-up. and I think these fit both my skin color pretty well, but is there more I need? Y'all were so cool here, and althought I haven't been around much for a long time now, I figured I'd let you know, I'm finally at the end of this segment of my journey. This Thursday is my official "work announcement" by management to my department. Friday's a half day in male mode. Saturday's my last day in male mode altogether (spending it with my family). Sunday's the first day of the rest of my life as Jen. And Tuesday is my first day back to work as Jen. Legal name change is in the works, will come through fairly shortly. Scared to death, along with excited. And sort of dazed -- hard to believe the last two years have gone so quickly. And that I've go…

I have been struggling with myself for some months now, part of me wants to "come out" and become known, while another part feels my life will be over if i do!! I am trying so hard to find a balance, one where I can acknowledge what I really am "A femanine man" and on the other hand, I want to throw it all away and "Get a grip", before it destroys me !! I want to be free !! though I know the only way is to open up, let some of my defences down and Love life I think I need to relax and stop being afraid of what the world, probably already knows.. Keep up the great work people. you are all so cool. Rachel xxx

Yesterday was truly a first for me. I had opened my paper One Hanes Place catalog and spotted the camisole style shapewear and I just had to have one right then. As I tore out the order form I noticed "check out our outlet stores." Since there's a Tanger Outlet Center just down the road, I did just that. Yay, there's a Bali outlet!! I also needed a haircut and wanted acrylic nails, so I decided to take the car for an oil change at the Sears auto center at another mall between home and the outlet store and get some breakfast, a wash and whacks and a manicure while I was there. I've resumed wearing my gel-enhanced bras so I decided to wear a polo for a change. It s…

Today was my first day with the gender therapist a F2M medical activist had found for me, only about ten minutes from my workplace. (Which is amazing, here in the middle of cattle country.) She's not a "niche" counselor, she deals with many other patients, but she has actually had a number of transgender clients and even walked with at least one the whole way through transition; so she is probably the most qualified in my neck of the pastures. (She told me today that there are many therapists in our area who would not even touch a TS patient. Which is as expected -- I live in a mini-Bible belt, it's all Bush country around here.) Talking to her, it was very clear to…

Today i got my first 2 scripts from the doctor for spiro and avodart. I believe that they are both once a day for now. The doctor told me to think about how i want to take the hormones. 1. Build up the estrogen 2. Build up the spiro. or 3. slowly build them both up together. I decided that i wanted to start off with the spiro and get rid of my testosterone first. I have looked on many sites and havent found any answers for sure, but i was wondering if from anyone of you gals who have taken spiro, what exactly in terms of bodily change can you expect? The doc said that i will notice changes in my hair after a while, but i was also wondering what other changes will come…

One more step... I am not full-time but working steadily toward it. something inside pushed me to do it. I called Macy's and asked to get in touch with the MAC counter took apointment for a make-up lesson, the lady noted it and set it and asked me "for you ? " "yes". D-Day... nice lady's trousers, long slim top I am getting used to my new female haircut, hiding the mandatory earrings. At the counter, I was surprised that the make-up artist was a beautiful young man. I asked him for chosing the colors as I was a perfect debutante. M yidea was to test only for foundation and powder so my make-up was not very visible today. He not only looked but tested .…

I went to the therapist today terrified of what it was going to be like but she put at easy as the session went along. She ask if I had a time line to transition an I told her NO. I told her if I had it my way I would get it all done tomorrow if I could but she said that to fast. My question is what is a good time line to get everything done?

I simply can not see a need for gender separate fitting rooms.Considering they are one - person- at - a- time!! What's the big deal? When I use the fitting room I hardly care who .male or female. has used it before me! (or who will afterword for that matter) :o

This is a quote from Koreen from another thread. "So I am, as I knew when I began taking female hormones in April 2006, compromising my true gender aspirations for the sake of my marriage" Jojo wrote: "I have been craving and longing so desperately for all these years to be able to wear the clothes and make up and all the rest of the stuff it is just killing me". This bums me out. Jojo and Koreen I am very fond of, it is terrible to think that their entire lives will be spent in the suffering that this must bring. I was wondering if there comes a time, when resentment reigns. I am wondering if it is just a matter of time before the resentment of being forced (if…
