@karinatsnemirov Hi, I'm Karina, I'm an 18 year old MTF TS from Lawrence,MA which is just north of boston. Where do I begin? I was born as Cody, and from the get go, I was never right. I always used to wear my sisters clothes from age 5 and up until I was about 15 or so when I started to get way too big for them. I started to spend my money I made from work on makeup and girls clothes and stashed them in my brothers basement without him knowing (I had they key lawl) I used to dress up secretly in his house and eventually I decided to tell my boyfriend (which nobody knew about either) and he was on board instantly. Now I was starting to dress like this outside of secret…

I know results may vary but if perhaps a meta analysis were to be carried out on dosage level vs effect what might the data suggest? Well to the question. I am close the the hrt administration stage and will be pushing for the option of anti androgens and low dose oestrogen. Why? Well ideally I want to ease the mental torment and hopefully taste the "feeling of well being" so often expressed. I also want my face given a feminine boost via complexion and modest fat redistribution. I do not want to expedite any other physical change but appreciate that i could still end up with no facial change at all but a couple of "Dolly Parton" specials! In other words, you don't get…

So I'm still researching this and I was wondering if, before starting hrt, do I want to loose the excess fat I have and then build that back in the right places once on hormones? Or keep the fat I have and let the hormones do their thing.

  4. This is a test as described below. There are five levels that score between -650 which indicates male and 650 which indicates female. I think there were 60 plus questions. I scored 600 so it looks like I am on the right path. Before taking the test I suggest doing what I did, just take it, do not dwell over the answers but do carefully read each question. There is one question that is really something, I read it three times before responding. Would love to hear how you score and your thoughts on the scores. A unique test designed specifically for the uncertain pre-transitional Male-to-Female gender dysphoric. The first comprehensive gender dysphoria test, COGIATI …

  5. Hi all, I am actually on hrt 1 month. I use herbal phytoestrogen herbal pilluls. My body has changed very quickly. My skin and body is pale now and when i go through streets, that people see me like woman and when I go dress like man they still see me like woman. I didnt expect so quickly that I have changed to girl immediately. But on youtube channels I have seen many videos of mtf people on hrt who say that process come after 3 months. But my face after 1 month is true girly. and when I take my beard od , I am more so girly.

Yesterday, I was on a date in Atlanitc City when my phone rang. It was my mom, but i didn't answer it because she'd never heard my voice as shannon before and I really didnt want to put on the joe voice in public. Unfortunately, when I don't answer my phone when my mom calls, she just keeps calling every five minutes. So I answered and my mom was like "Hello? Who is this? Is Joe there?" and I said that it was me and I wasn't home. She said later after she got off the phone with me she felt like an idiot for not picking up on it. So, being able to fool your own mom is definitely a great way to build confidence.

I'm taking this from a different forum, but it's an interesting conversation piece. If there were a pill that got rid of all your transgender urges and made you comfortable in your own sex, would you take it rather than transitioning? Personally, I think that I very well might still transition. Despite the numerous inconveniences, transsexualism can turn out to be a lucky malfunction. So many people have no idea how to make themselves happy in life or be able to achieve it. So transitioning is a blessing in disguise because what will make me happy is taken for granted by so many. Who would want a pill that took this away?

I was dreading ever getting to the point where I'd ask this question, but here I am. So I guess I'll ask. What do you do while you 'wait'? There are a ton of things right now that people keep telling me, oh, it just takes time. You just have to be patient. Hormones, learning voice (which occasionally hits awesomeness and very rarely has any usable consistency, still). Electrolysis, weight loss, and of course vain attempts to save up some money for FFS and/or GRS later. I'm probably dumb and I'm probably doing this all wrong. I dunno. I don't think I'm in much of a position to say one way or another anymore. What is indisputable is the following: I'm too femi…

  12. Greetings from a transgender sister temporarily trapped in Florida the land of ever-increasing Fascism. I will shoot straight as an arrow. I'm on disability because of autism and the occasional seizures that I have are due to autism as well. At this time, here in Florida legislation has been passed such that even though I've 2+ years on HRT it's going to impede my ability to continue to get hormones once I run out of my refills. I'm looking to move to northern California and am hoping to make some contacts and/or learn about some of the support groups and do my best to find a temporary room or other setup to rent. My options on such short notice are very limite…

Last night I met with my family as Shannon for the first time and it went really well. Today, about halfway through the workday, the landlord came and changed the locks on the business where I work. Apparently they had been lax with the rent. I'm still not sure if I'm unemployed just yet, but it would appear that way for the moment. I have surprisingly mixed feelings about this. On the one hand I'm short income... On the other I may never have to be Joe ever again and that feels incredible. I'm not sure which outcome is the better one... On a side note, if anyone has work for a possibly laid off Graphic Designer, I might suddenly be very available.

Well I finally did it , I scraped the transition plan and dove in head first ! I went back and dropped Tim from my name so I am now Victoria Anne and I talked to HR and went full time the 18TH ! I wish I had know this would be so easy , I would have done it years ago . I have met with no bad reactions , rejections and have been received well at work and by customers . I have been treated with dignity and respect by all , I cannot believe how fortunate I have been . I have lost no family , friends or my job and have even found support in places I did not expect any and have even picked up a few new friends . There is one thing I did not expect nor did my wife and that …

Okay so I often regret in my life not coming out sooner as I began to bald at the end of my college years and continued on till about a 1 1/2 ago. I took measures just before going on HRT and started to take a three part hair treatment that I bought over the counter. In a year of taking it while it did slow the hair loss and some hair grew it didn't do much. Taking the advice of my doctor I switched to a Generic version of Rogaine and instantly in a month I have a much fuller amount covering my bald area, while still there are patches its much more covered now. I have read studies in the past where a M2F transsexual on Hormones with treatment along with Rogaine experi…

Hi, my names Karen and I am a 54 year old pre-op transexual. I have been living full time for three years now after officially changing my name and coming out to my family, the best decision I have made and my life has never been happier. I am currently awaiting hormones from the Leeds Gender Clinic and have recently started the ball rolling to obtaining my Gender Recognition Certificate. At present I am still seeking full time employment in my new gender although I have done a year working part time in my new gender. I also moderate in a transgendered/fetish chatroom on the internet. Am always looking to meet and make new friends.

  17. The following surprises me that after writing it out that I went into more detail than I would have last year which makes me wonder if it’s the hormones or not. Also I should mention last year from time to time got looks like (male or female?) where I was made sometimes but now that has completely changed were I am not being made at all (or at least that is how I see it). Any ways here are some recent thoughts and observations from the past week. Some moments from the past week that made me smile Two woman friends and one daughter and I went out shopping at a mall for about several hours. I purchased two bras at JC Penny but was not in the mood to try them on as…

Does anyone have much experience or advice on how to help older children of those who proceed with transition, in terms of providing them with a positive role model of the gender no longer "represented" in the family? Some of us might see the parents' genders are irrelevant; and yes, I do think a best outcome is two parents who love and can show love effectively to their children, regardless of gender. Still, children are developing and looking for role models of both genders. A traditional family provides one female adult role model and one male adult role model. Regardless of my issues, my children still view me (currently, not knowing of my situation) as the male…

As I live in Thailand carrying out research on T-matters, I wondered why all Thai transsexuals are sexually orientated towards men. I haven't met anyone yet who changes from boy to girl and then turns into a lesbian. My husband is a SRS surgeon in Bangkok and most of his clients are western transsexuals. He is always surprised to learn that most of them are (or have been) married (with children) and their sexual orientation is towards women. In Thailand this fenomenon is quite unusual. Although there are more transsexuals than streetlights in Thailand, they haven't been married to women before they transitioned. Kind regards... Pantau (I am myself 25 years post-op (tra…

I read an article at a website about male to female transsexuals where the author said feminization of the body, when using female hormones, especially breasts, will be noticed by others, even if the person does not want her feminization noticed. An article at another website said feminization of the body will be hidden from others, if the person makes proper efforts. This either/or outcome seems dubious to me. I think one's age at the onset of beginning estrogen and progesterone, genetics, clothing often makes it easier or harder for sufficient feminization, especially breast development, to occur to be noticed by others of male to female transsexuals, who are not t…
