For those who are going to have kids, or those who already have had kids since coming out as transgender, how would you name your kids? Would you give them gender typical names, or nongender specific names? Stereotypical Gender Specific - Steve, Lindsay, Johnathan, Julia, etc. Nongender Specific Names - Kelly, Ashley, Aaron/Erin, Jen, Alex, Adrian(ne), etc. None of us know if that child is cis or LGBTQ, until they let us know. Obviously it's known what they were assigned at birth. And on that also, would you use specific pronouns? "This is my son/daughter." Or would you use nongender terms? "This is my child." i think people should get to know their options that could (help) them not have to grow facial and body hair!! i am older now, but did they all know in the 1980s that hormone treatments at puberty could keep people from the need to deal with that kind of hair? i suppose there are other (important) issues to consider for some people. but still! ...not the time it takes as much as the difficulty of doing it perfect consistently and the irritation. i have other skin issues and stuff that maybe complicate it.

I think this is so cool. The boy is 4 years old and loves to wear dresses. The parents are okay with it and the mother wrote a children's book about her son to help the other kids and their parents understand it.
