  2. OK, I feel I have to clear the air, there seams to be a mis conception about the difference between life pre op and post op, the words oh it will all be better once that is gone, my cloths will fit I will be more comfortable more confident in my self. Bull, if your self confident then your that way pre just as much as post operations, if your a basket case emotionally before your going to be even more so after words. I am so sick of all these individuals who tie up their crap lives with being Trans anything or that's why they are so unhappy because they have this darn issue that no one understands, how can the rest of the world understand if nothing changes post op all …

  3. For example: Also: Off course he takes things too literally. Like so what about age? And how does he define sex? As for expression: & Off course the problem here is that he is looking at expression alone: Off course I wish to debunk his claim of sex being formed around what gametes are produced. Any ideas?

My name is Stella and I'm new to this forum. I just wanted to say hello:-) I'm 33, live in Denton, TX and have had feelings of being a female since I was 6. I've been dressing as a girl behind closed doors for 27 years! I love everything about being a girl:-) I'm now finally coming to terms that I'm transsexual. My story is similar to some of the other members in here. I married at 19 thinking I would put this side of me behind. Of course that didn't happen!!! I informed my wife of my female side a year into our marriage and it's been a sore spot ever since. She's been trying to accept it ever since and I'm very grateful for that;-) I attended therapy…

  5. At this time I know that this is a prime time for those who are looking to transition and I know this from research and just transitioning. This video I'd say validates this. http://www.ellentv.com/videos/0-jyoekfe6/

Hi All New to the forum. I realize true hrt is best for mtf transition, but have a couple health issues, which is why I'm trying herbs. I know changes won't be as dramatic. I am currently trying Red Clover extract, and White Peony extract. Only been on both for a little over month. I have been on ground flaxseed the longest...over a year now. I'm confused about flaxseed. Is it an anti-androgen or an estrogen helper? I read in studies it has the highest, 800 times, more phytoestrogens than any other phytoestrogen. But also read it helps eliminate estrogen in body?? So, is it helping to feminize or not? I would like to try getting more curvier in hips …

I guess you know that it is time to give up on a relationship, when you spend your last cent to send someone you care about, and you think cares about you, a birthday present, and you get no thank you....no response at all. Yea, been kidding myself for too long.

So heres my problem. i have been working so hard towards getting all of my stuff together and finally coming out to my parents as a transgender female. Then my sister comes out as a lesbian to my parents. So i dont know what to do. I feel that my mom will support me regaurdless, but my dad always complains about my sisters sexual orientation and i live with him. And i feel like i will be letting my parents down if both of their kids come out. Before my sister came out i would go out as a female all the time, but late at night or i wouldnt stay at my house, so neither one of my parents would find out. Well because of this i have gotten rid of all of my stuff (female…

Last night we were hanging out with some friends who were talking about how they periodically have "girls-only" and "boys-only" parties. They send the guys over to one house to do as they will (commonly, I understand, this has to do with drinking and watching kung fu movies). The girls to go another house to do as they will (apparently this involves a lot of cooking and watching movies of some sort, I don't know). Now I'm not super comfortable with either one of those things, but nothing says I have to participate. But they expressed an interest (as did my wife) in hosting one of these parties, of course the girls' one. This really put me in a sticky situation because …

I everyone. I really hate to put this up as a post but I am so flabbergasted that I had to tell someone. I'm at work tonight in my uniform and as usual I am in my guy mode. I'm talking to this man who is slightly intoxicated. He says to me, "you are a beautiful lady" , the guy floored me. I did not know what to say, If my partner would have been there I probably would have had to correct him because although my brain is female I'm not supposed to be. Since no one else was around I just blushed like all get out and pretended that I didn't hear what he said, but he repeated it and said that he was serious and that he really thought that I was beautiful. I don't think the …

Well, that old brick wall called FEAR has me stopping again. I have always been... well in the closet... or the house as is my case. My TG issues have always (with one exception a few years back) a private world just for me. After reading the forums here and seeing all you gals venturing forth with your lives, I started thinking about breaking out of my protective shell a bit. Here in the middle of the Bible Belt of the Country in a state called IOWA, there is few if any TG resources. Anyway, I have recently discovered that a threapist in TG related issues has a practice locally. I even sent an inquiry email to confirm this. So here I am looking at a phone numb…

Hello everyone. It's been along time since I wrote here, glad to see Iam still registered. In eary June of this year I had a stroke that has not left me paralyzed or impaired to a graet extent, thank God for that. My endrologist took me off of the estogen pills and placed me on the patch, which I am now on and also put me on cholesterole lowering medication. Has anyone had to deal with a situation like this? Some major life changes have occurred, like eating habits, more excercise, NO alcohol, ect. What can I expect from this and although no one can give a medical opinion, I'd like to know what people think. Jolene.

  13. A few days ago, during conversation, I commented that it would be nice if my mum would accept that I am TS. I don't expect her to understand, just accept. Then I went on to say that no one can understand what it feels like to be TS - not unless the individual is him-/herself TS, or has deep issues or concerns about his/her gender, or is IS and discovering that whatever sex/gender doctors decided the child should be...turns out to be wrong. My conversational opponent got a bit jacked-up and said that I cannot say what people understand, and that I could not say what he understands - that it was insulting to him for me to say he could not understand. I insisted that he c…

I used to have friends from every shade of the rainbow, butch gay males, fem gay males, stone butch lesbians, fem lesbians, and a few bisexuals for good measure....but once I came out about being trans they turned against me, called me a traitor and in a few cases physically attacked me.... I now only have 2 gay friends left, and even they get snarky with me for being trans. Did this happen to anyone else? Jay

Just a reminder, that gender prejudices continue to do battle within the community at large. If we don’t want a world full of judgments, we must not judge. When Being Trans Is Not Trans Enough The terms transgender and trans are increasingly being used in community circles to denote those who are who are transitioning from their birth-assigned gender to more closely align their bodies with their authentic sense of self. Let us not forget that transgender is an umbrella that encompasses all persons whose authentic identity does not conform unambiguously to conventional notions of male or female genders and.... read the article online at Huffington Post

Ok mates, I'm in full panic mode. Had my first official transgender related shrink's appt. Got nervous. Had mom sitting there eyeing me and basically negating everything I was saying. I now have to take a bunch of personality and IQ tests to make sure I'm "sane". I'm scared. What should I do?

Many times elating, sometimes deflating. There are times when I go out, shopping, when I am always referred to as Ma'am, or Hun, or some feminine pronoun, and other times, I am referred to as "sir". I am grappling with the disparity from day to day. I have gone out without makeup, and have been addressed as a woman, other times, when I am fully feminine, when I am addressed as "sir" Here are my non-scientific findings: When I feel "confident" in my gender role, I seem to pass easily, generally regardless of how I am dressedWhen I am nervous or frightened in my surroundings, even when I "think" I am dressed passably, I have trouble 50% of the timeI am not racist in any…

Hi all. I am a transman living in a small community. Ever since I came out..4 years ago...I have lived in isolation. My family has let me go...and friends have let me go. I am tired of living in isolation. I am tired of dealing with the discrimination I get in the workplace and with my neighbors. I could use some support amd contacts. And it seems like every support group I have talked to....no one else is dealing with this 'outcast...isolation' stuff. If anyone can relate I would appreciate hearing from you.

Ok, now this post may not be worded exactly correctly but my question is, I was at work today and Donna Lewis' I love you always forever came on the radio. Now, way back in the day, like middle school/early high school, anytime this song came on, I would immediately be consumed by this somber mood. Nothing depression-esque or even sad really, almost like when you see that moment in a movie where someone dies and that person is like thinking of them and its a bittersweet moment of rememberance. Well, this song would come on, usually at the god-awfully early hour of 715am (back then it was horrid, now 6am wakeups are usual due to being 'grown up'.) but anyways the song w…

  22. Hello Everyone, I have a question - I have seen a lot people talk about positive impacts of a participating in a local support group. On the other hand I seem to be running into some problems. What has your experience been in participating in your support group? The problems: I live in a very conservative area - I managed to find a support group, but wanted to ask some questions regarding how public the meeting place is and so forth - if you can change at the meeting etc. It seems when I ask to attend there is no issue getting invited, meeting times, and so forth, but when I ask specific questions, I get a lot of silence - no response. Am I violating some unwr…

Is it common to be gender dysforic not have an actual problem with my genitals? I know the feelings inside of me, but they do not result in an inward to outward hatred of my body. P.S. I am going to see a doctor that deals with transgender issued people, so I am sure that I will come to terms more about myself. I just figured I'd post this for feedback and for the points of views of others. I am willings to answer any questions in the case that you are wondering, "Whats going on with this person". Thank you everyone for your time. Bye. :)

It has been some time since I have visited or posted anything so I thought I would stop by and post an update . Where to begin ... it has been 10 months since I have gone full time , my name is changed , my gender changed . I have suffered no loss's save for one who after 9 years I thought was a friend . My wife and are are more in love than ever before . It is of late however that the most amazing changes have occurred , on a sad note my ex of 9 years passed away . The biggest changes , the best changes ... my three children who I thought for years were lost to me have come back one at a time into my life , we were estranged for the last 15 years . The first was my oldes…

For years i have been spending big bucks to hang onto my CPA license. I am now thinking of letting it go. I am so far behind when it comes to the technology part of the field. And I keep thinking, what CPA firm would hire a 55 year old transman that would have to start at an entry level? I do hate to let it go because it is one of the hardest licenses to get, and yea, it took alot of hard work. And in writing this I think about the idea of 'wasted talent,' How so many of us have talents to offer if we just had the chance to be who we are.
