  1. I got to thinking about this as I waited at my son's school today . I'm about to get dressed to the 9's to do a memorial for the many who have been murdered or taken their lives tonight at 7 P-M . Uh, it's T D O R folks . I want to propose we as Americans have a Trans Day of celebration ! Yes, a day where trans People are finally recognized for their achievements , their contributions to society and community . In addition , some worthy recipient could be presented an award , a potential college student with a scholarship, a lawmaker acknowledged for doing the right thing that year . Yes, many of these elements have been squeezed into T D O R services . Hey, if the ga…

  2. Being transgender is not simple. That said following back on defensive actions doesn't even help! Than what is one to do? Simply use the kamakazi approach in whatever seem right at the time for temporary use.We are not robot's as British dominate on American politics to this day.The world isn't perfect in binary form 1's & 0's its whole series of numbers ranging from 12,11,10,..,3,,2,1,0 sort of issues. Therefore it required to be cherish those of us have backup plan F,G,Z etc.But those who don't even stay in forums yet alone being transgender.Happy weekend everyone Kiss

I thought this deserved its own topic, because not everyone who may be interested or have something to say would neccessarily be reading the other thread. This is basically a place holder. I had something typed up as a reply in the other thread, but the site ate it. Gave me a "406 Error". So, I started a new thread and there's more to come. Pages 4 and 5 in the other thread are the "important" ones. Just be patient. It will take a bit to reorganize my thoughts and such, but I will get back to it.

Seeking a TG Events Volunteer at TGGuide I can't seem to keep up with transgender events. There are plenty of them occurring all around the world such as Gender Odyssy 2008 and Southern Comfort Conference (both happening in the next month or so). If someone would like to volunteer to search transgender events out and post them on our calendar I will be happy to set you up to administer the TGGuide calendar. It is all web based so no special knowledge is necessary, although familiarity with the search engines and how to conduct very basic online research will be helpful. Send me a private message or post here if you're interested. Lori

Ok, I have a question...I want to start HRT (and yes correctly, under care). I am 41, 5'10", 185 and workout daily. I have a very defined body and am wondering what effect hormones will have on me? If I am taking them but continue working out, how much will I hurt my breast growth, if any? As is I have a small B cup just from having a developed chest. Anyone have some thoughts on this?????? I appreciate any and all comments.

I had an interesting chat today with someone from Personnel regarding me coming to work dressed according to my inner perspective. It appears that TS are very easy to manage in the sense that one day they appear as one gender, the next day in their new gender role. Changes such as name changes, new ID badges, and so on, can be easily implemented. A TG defies that easy rule, because every day could be different. I never feel very masculine or manly, and when I pretend to be manly (grr, beats chest) it's very comical. It is also insightful, in that being manly doesn't come easily to me. I really have to work at it. I digress. I can be somewhat more masculine one day, more…

"Today, people are coming from around the world to Serbia for sex-change operations, which are now subsidised for Serbs by national health insurance. 10. Ok how do you know if you are a CD or TG. I have felt wrong my whole life. I grew up where you could not be girly or act soft. My family would not understand back then. My dad caught me with panties and bras from a house we where house sitting for and I made up some story. I have known for a long time that I like being in the other genders cloths . I like heels , dresses, night stuff. It's not all about sex. I am married with 3 boys. I'm 36 years old and have been hiding this for a long time. My loving wife knows and is doing her best with it. She loves the man I am but does not know if she can think the same way about the other me ,the real me. The real me? I have starte…

Last night I spent some time with my nephew who is 13yrs old and we had a blast hanging out. We had the usuallypoking at each other as always and thats when I brought up about me being transgender to him. So asked him how does he feel about me being his aunt instead of his uncle and he told me he wasn't bothered by it and that he loves me no matter what. I was so proud that he is so accepting of me like my other nephew who is now 18 and graduated from high school. Then my two neices also know and they don't care. Well my 15 year old niece gets it but my younger niece who is 10 years old is not all quite there in grasping things as far as me being transgender. But that doe…

I have no regrets of purging of my old male clothes. It was back in August I went into my closet and threw every piece of male clothing in boxes and sold it all.I am much happier too seeing them gone for good although I am transitioning.I love my all wardrobe of women's clothing and shoes now and there is no going back.I love to shop for clothes now even more.Been transitioning since August also and things are going good so far.I am loving the changes the estrogen and the male hormone blockers are doing to me.My body is changing and hair is growing out.Noticing the development of my breasts too.My therapist says it is going to change more in the 6th month of my transition,…

I heard about it earlier, and finally got a copy today on a separate recommendation from a friend. It's been really interesting reading so far. The full title is: Self-Made Man: One Woman's Year Disguised as a Man, by Norah Vincent

I might have to work in Vegas for two weeks and as a result I'm thinking all sorts of possible things to try. Chances are not much will come of this as my imagination is significantly larger than my courage. Still, I like the idea of doing a transgender makeover for a day or two once work is done. A few factors I need to take into account: 1. Vegas is somewhat familiar territory as I spent most of my teen years there (+20 years ago), 2. have no clue about transgender resources in the area, 3. parents still live there, they're elderly so I know where they won't be running into me, 4. limited budget, 5. interested in meeting other Ts (I'm not into fooling around so I'm …

All of this addoration men have for me on some of the dating sites is causing more problems than before. The experiences i have had from emails of my profiles on a few web sites is like i thought of myself as this sex goddess they seem to think i am.Hundreds of email admirers should be given to a celiberity not me.Why I see why sex goddess feel now and the image men protray them as. but you know i can barely meet any man face to face with a date to meet and see or feel the mystery of if we have chemistry or not. I am obessed with all their complements .but keep trying for a man even for short time and it is work. What advice could you give me? :(

I have had a number of laser sessions completed and have been on hormones for nearly four months. I am living full time in my life and at work. I want to move forward and take the next step in my transition. I want and will be seeking a legal name change. It is something that I am comfortable doing and it something that I am ready for. I don't even feel comfortable using my male name. -Nikki P.S I hope everyone's transition is going good and well.

Luke 15:11-32 I was reading a couple of posts about the Prodigal Son. Looking at the father huggng his wayward son is a touching moment. Many words can describe the poignant scene; forgiveness, love, acceptance, and joy are some words that come to mind. Affirmation comes to mind when I view the picture. Yes the son had spent everything he had on wanton living. The son felt shame and remorse, so much so that he was willing to be a servant. The father would have none of it. The father's affirmation of his son demonstrated his love for him. Contrast this response to that of the older son. He responded in anger upon hearing that his young brother's return. I'm than…

I don't know if the title conveys this all that well, it was just the best I could think of. Does the impossible trigger your depression, or just get you down? I'm talking about more than desire. I'm talking extreme despair. For example I don't want to have to have a sex change. I want a uterus, Fallopian tubes, ovaries, menstruation. You get the idea. The things that a cis woman would have. The closest I can come is GCS. I can have a vagina, but that is where it ends. A lot of the time I talk about going back to being "him". Letting my beard grow, stopping HRT, and just giving up. It's triggering to the point that I'm about to.... I don't want to use the S word, but I kn…
