I was reading through some of my old posts, and some other responses from members before I came here, and noticed something. A lot of people come here, and claim that we're wrong. That what's between our legs is it, and there is no other option for us. Some are seeking to learn, but most are not. They are close minded and don't believe in anything other than the binary definition of gender. Penis=man vagina=woman. No other options, no changing it. That's not right, as we all know. Hello and happy holidays everyone! It has been a while since I last posted , so I thought I would post some pics of my progress and update on my status. I have come a long way in 2010 and started with living through the divorce and finding gainful employment. I also recently went full time at work! So far all is well with the job!. I hate to sound arrogant or immature. But.... I AM A GOOD KID. I want to be out o the closet so bad, but I'm terrified my parents will disown me. I don't have the money to support myself. I don't even have a license! I work only a few hours a week for minimum age. I love my mom and dad, but things are just getting so ridiculous! I've been homeschooled for the past few years, and I know that it was a good choice because I KNOW public school would have been a disaster. I am up against my wall and slowly going insane. Just thought I would throw this out there. Maybe get some discussion going. I know of people that once they start hormones, get immediate results. There are also people, like myself, that had to wait for years to see the change. for me, I was on hormones for about 4 years before I saw anything. And then it was like an overnight change. And then, I had to spend time for my brain to catch up to what I was now seeing in the mirror. It seemed like overnight, I was this hairy beast. At some point in the life of a transgender person their outward appearance is so important, especially at a young age. I wonder for those reading this that are middle age or older, how important is passing in public before and after transitioning and for those who have no plans to transition how important is passing to you? Also would be nice to know how important is it to not just pass but to look great? I would like to hear from male to female and female to male.

What level of stealth do you prefer? Do you wish that everyone thinks you were born as GG (for M2Fs)? Or do you not mind if your close friends know? Or maybe you like to broadcast to the world that you are TG? For me, my close friends started out thinking I was a normal male except for being an online crossdresser, so they already know, and the fact that they know doesn't bother me since they are very supportive. Many people aren't that open-minded, though. Many of them can be made open-minded by talking to them, although if they just think I'm GG and don't know any better, that's easier.

It is known that there are transgendered people who adapt to society and will never even begin transition. When two of these people with opposite brains come together, interesting things can happen. I married a woman who thinks more like a man and I think exactly like a woman even though I am biologically male. Though I do not want my penis 99% of the time. When I have sex with my wife it does work and we have always enjoyed each other. When I have sex it is almost impossible for me to visualize the experience as a male. i am going to be taking hormones soon...but bc of fear and lack of courage i haven't told my elderly parents yet that i am trans. what do u think is better, coming out then starting hormones. or taking hormones and then come out as people notice changes

Well i was seen today for gender issues at my local va hosp , and it went smooth , and from what was said i have been approved for hrt , needless to say i am one happy woman today love and hugs .

I'm just curious and think it's interesting...More commonly, transsexual women are "straight," which means that they are attracted to men. I've read that it's the majority. So if it's the majority, then why are 95% of the transsexual women that post HERE attracted to other women? I just think it's an interesting topic that could be discussed. What do you all think is the reason behind this?

I was just curious as to what some thought about the idea of never revealing your gender history, to anyone, once transition is completed. Of course this is only possible if one has actual surgery. If no one knew your history genderwise, like all your family disappeared or something, would you still reveal?

The Employment Non-Dscrimnation Act is the next order of business for 2013. Presently, thirty-eight states can fire employees just because they are transgender. I will be involved with this in NewYork State.

Dear LGBTQQI community in Bakersfield, I am writing this letter in hopes that some of you or all of you are made aware of a growing problem that is here in the city. Yea, haven't written for a while. Been looking into the medicare provision for my remaining surgery. I find the biggest problem is staying motivated to try. I have been fighting for so long to get this done that I am out of steam. And, one thing I need to find is people that will encourage me to keep going. I get along great with family, but they do not want to hear about the trans stuff. As for friends, well they contact me when they need something. I keep telling myself that I am too old. that even if I get the surgery done, I am too old for a relationship, or to find a real job, or to have a real life. Man, I am so tired of it.
