This article has also been posted elsewhere The world continues to disappoint, the continued downward and backward spiral to the middle ages with religious zealots and xenophobes moving the world towards the right. In the US the transformation into the Republic of Gilead moves on apace. The supreme courts overturn of Roe V Wade was the first step, Republican States are now withholding a woman's right to choose. How long before the red capes and 'commanders' appear? The US is unfortunately heading towards a second civil war, unfortunately though this time it won't be North against South it will be Red v Blue. The Republicans under Trump, played on the…

In early January I was invited to present a speech at a local medical center to about 25 resident and non-resident MDs. I worked so hard to make it a good one. I read a great book about TED Talks, spent several hours creating a draft, and presented it to a couple of girlfriends who provided helpful feedback that resulted in a complete do-over. More hours. But it paid off. I had a wonderful time speaking to them and after, answering their questions. They gave me a standing ovation! Wow, how cool is that. Here's the script: I’m 63 years old, assigned male at birth, retired, and started my gender transition in mid-2017. I’ve been married twic…

Had my annual physical today, two years since HRT, 1 1/2 years since GRS, it appears as Marci Bowers indicated my prostate would be gone in a short time and it's completely gone as of today. Nice to know a doctor will not have to perform that test on me again.

  5. Trans activist Jude Patton has created two Facebook pages for those in the LGBT community who form emotional bonds with animals and he invites us to share our stories of our relationships with our animal companions. TRANS for Animals Lgbtiqq people and their emotional bonds with companion animals Mr. Patton describes the project as follows; Unfortunately, our experiences with marginalization often affect our feelings of self-worth. While many people in our lives are unable, or unwilling, to provide the emotional support we need before, during, and after coming out, or transitioning, our companion animals never fail to see us as we truly are, and never fail in contin…

  9. Nov 30, 3:51 PM (ET) By MALCOLM RITTER The headline is misleading. The study demonstrates that gender differences are present in all brains, just not enough to justify proclaiming male superiority. NEW YORK (AP) — Are the brains of men and women truly different? Not if you look at the overall structure, a new study says. While specific parts show sex differences, an individual brain only rarely has all "male" traits or all "female" traits, researchers report. It's more likely to be a mixed bag: some things are more common in women, some more common in men, and some are common in both. http://apnews.myway.com/article/20151130/us-sci--brain_gender-4f073bcdb0.html

I was with my mother the other night, and we usually end up on some topics that I wouldn't expect, but it just so happened that night we ended up on just the topic I needed to get my foot in the door. I casually began inquiring whether she would be upset, or okay with the fact that I would eventually like to start hormone therapy. I didn't relate it directly to transitioning, but she did ask whether or not it meant relenting my birth name. I requested that once I started therapy, she begin calling me by my chosen name (not that far derived from my birth-name). She seemed as if she might find it difficult to do so, but it was a good start. She also knows that I would …

Ok, she's not a biological relative, but she's the friend I've talked about that has gone past friend and is now family. She has Lupus Nephritis, which is doing severe damage to her kidneys. In the event she needs a transplant I'm getting tested in the hopes that I'm a match so I can give her one of mine. What I'm asking from everyone here is to send good thoughts her way, and if you believe in a deity to please keep her in your prayers. All good thoughts and prayers can't hurt anything, and could possibly help. I'm not asking for anything more than that. Her name is Mary. Also to the staff, I couldn't figure out where this post belonged, so I just went w…

So my landlady was here a while ago. She is elderly, uses 2 canes to be able to walk. Her friend who is also an elderly woman was with her. I noticed they were trying to do some stuff outside so went out to see if I could help. I don't see my landlady very often. She does know I have transitioned. Anyway, for the first 5 minutes, she kept calling me by female pronouns. (I guess full facial hair doesn't register.) But I decided to keep my peace. She is a nice lady and I am just not into being that easily offended anymore. Anyway, after that first five minutes, she looked at me and apologized. And all was well. We had a friendly, fun conversation. When she left…

Hi, New to this forum. I am a 25 year old trans man, started testosterone last year and I am doing good as of now. I have decided to take the next step and undergo top surgery procedure. I would like to know if anyone here has undergone this procedure. If so, please share your experience with me. I am super tensed about the whole thing, but excited as well. I am not sure how to prepare for this and how long I’ll have to get rest. How long will I take to recover fully from the procedure and when can I get back to normal life? I really don't know how the whole thing is going to be, so very nervous about it, at the same time, I feel elated as well. …

Using Estradot with herbs. Background. Began a few years ago with no difference between "band and nipple measurement." Started with herbs (Dong Quai, Kwao Krua, fenugreek, dandelion root, etc) which for me, quickly worked (from 0 to Stage 2 breast tissue, but no budding),...also focused on feminine foods (watercress, red clover, carrots, avocados, alfalfa, etc),...the result was quick, especially on breast tissue and weight distribution in the butt,...but peaked in just 3-4 months. Added Kwao Krua Thai cream,...another slight boost. maintained 2" between band to bust. Four mouths ago, started using a Medala pump,...which after a month became addicting,..…

Transphobia and transphobic are two of them. Judicious placing of tiles on pink squares may see scores just about reaching three figures." --gaystarnews.com Are we using the right words for trans hate?

Hi all. My Dad suffered a mild stroke 2 weeks ago. He is now home and i went to see him today. It was a little rough seeing this strong man now needing so much help. At the same time, we had a great visit and I will be seeing him again on Monday to help him out. He kept trying to give me money and I told him, "Dad i am not here for your money. I am here because you are my Dad and i love you." Anyway, what felt really good is that, for the first time in many years, I am my dad's son again. You see until puberty hit, my Dad always treated me like his son. And, I loved every minute of it. It is sad that it took a health issue for him to finally see me again. I wi…

  24. Finally the athletic community is addressing the issue of transgender athletes. As a transgender woman most of the time I run in my women athletic clothing. I have take herbals for over three years now and now need to wear a bra and have a softer trim body that fits well in women's cut sports wear. I actually almost look funny in men's cut sports wear. ----- this discussion focus will be on the social and acceptance aspects of the transgender athlete. In my case I never expect to finish SRS but I do feel like more like a woman athlete and do wish to complete at least as non-binary in future sporting events.
