I am a crossdresser but lately I have had fleeting thoughts that maybe I am a transsexual. I still have no desire for surgery but I would rather wear feminine clothing all the time. I feel very comfortable being looked upon as a woman. I haven't made any decisions yet but I wanted to bounce these thoughts off to you ladies. What do you make of it? Gennee

well im a GG and im not really sure if im a friend or a "REALLY" close friend of this person. ( I them ) i care for them alot. they are currently trying to figure their road out M2F. well they asked me what i thought about taking a low dose of estrogen through a patch. im a little worried that it might effect their chance of getting what they really need from their doctor. and i dont really know too much to actually say anything. and i dont want to stand in the way im really supportive. its just i dont want them to jump so fast without thinking about the risks. well i said as long as they knew all the facts and details then i dont see why not. they said they would…

My wife and I have been looking into it, and from what we have seen, Thailand is not only one of the most affordable places to go for transgender surgeries, but also one of the best. We're going over prices of everything right now from flights, to hotels, to doctors and procedures, pretty much everything. I've found a few clinics that look really good and are pretty reputable from what I've seen. Everything is in Bangkok, so we'll get to see a bit of the sights. But I'm posting this to see what everyone else has to say. Has anyone made the trip? How were your doctors? Are there any doctors or clinics you would recommend? I know there are a lot of highly skilled doctors do…

Hello, everyone! My name is Jocelyn, but you can call me Joss, Lynn, or whatever else strikes your fancy (I've heard them all). Much to my shame, I haven't really even begun to transition because there are simply no resources in my hometown. I AM trying to save money though, more to get out of this town to someplace where I CAN transition. It's a nuisance but kind of a necessary first step, I think. Despite this though, I actually practically live fulltime as a woman (excluding at my job). I have a loving wife who knew everything about me going into our relationship, and my friends are also perfectly accepting, so really, I guess things could be a lot worse, all t…

Hey everyone, I am a MTF transsexual but I cannot handle it, it is destroying my life. I am currently pre- everything, I have told my doctor and I am waiting for a referral to a gender therapist. This is just so so hard to live. I can't deal with the pain for much longer. I want to move away so I can be my true trans self but I am living in a small remote rural town and I just need to get away so I can be myself. I can't handle being a transsexual, I only found out I was a transsexual last year. Prior to that I had always thought I was male. This is so horrendous to deal with :'( Can anybody help me?

Today was my first day with the gender therapist a F2M medical activist had found for me, only about ten minutes from my workplace. (Which is amazing, here in the middle of cattle country.) She's not a "niche" counselor, she deals with many other patients, but she has actually had a number of transgender clients and even walked with at least one the whole way through transition; so she is probably the most qualified in my neck of the pastures. (She told me today that there are many therapists in our area who would not even touch a TS patient. Which is as expected -- I live in a mini-Bible belt, it's all Bush country around here.) Talking to her, it was very clear to…

The reason I ask is after many years one might have physical problems related to scar tissue with the functioning of surgically related the surgery. I'm particularly interested in urinary problems. I'm also interested in knowing if anyone has had issues with silicone injections, and if problems occurred over a very long period of time. I can also answer questions about sexual function and longevity. I have lived most of my life as someone considered cis gender. That is, I have very few persons who know about my transitioning and therefore, I'm in the dark about many thing perhaps are common knowledge today. If you have recommendations of good physicians who a…

So, for the past year now, it seems, my sexual orientation has been slowly changing from queer to bi, if not straight... Simply put: I'm not interested in women like I used to be; I prefer the thought of being with a man nowadays. I had figured that I was bi from the ages of 14 to 18, which is when I realized that I'd never really been physically or sexually attracted to a man... I've always been emotionally attracted to them because they have what I lack: masculinity. I first noticed that that wasn't the case this last April when I decided to dance with a rather sweet guy I met at a mini concert at a local pub in Trinidad. (My mother and I visited to get a feel for th…

Dear loving family of my new brothers and sisters, I was so depressed two weeks ago I thought I wouldn't see through to the next hour. My depression was not caused by hormones but by the severe blow to my entire being because I was finally beginning to see the people who really hate me. Despite all of the terrible words from my wife's family she is still living with me. We are now going to counselling both individually and together once a week. The most encouraging thing my wife has said to me is that she is motivated to work through this with me and that she does want to stay married to me. However, as the therapist told me she is going through a grieving pro…

That's right friends, my name is now legally Carla Michelle B*******. Yay! The hearing for my name change was yesterday at 9am. I was up at 5am. lol Nervous much? More excited, really. The hearing lasted all of 10 minutes. All of my paper-work was in the Jude's hands. I swore to tell the truth. He asked how long I'd been a resident (near 6 years) and if I'd ever been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor (nope). There was lots of shuffling of papers and scribbling. I stood there quietly, still as a statue wearing 1 inch heels, nice fitted jeans, a light blue blouse with diagonal stripes of white and (very thin) silver, a water bra (leave *no* doubt), an hour's …

Okay, Here goes Boys and Girls, I hear a lot of chatter but no clear and present support to what is happening or will happen on hormones. Well, it's really sort of a roll of the dice when it comes to HRT , Why ? Answer this as simply as I can, Because You are not Me, nor are You the Gal that posts on some other site telling all about what and what not to be taking for optimal results. Your going to hear a lot of different things, like " Oh, all you need to do is block the production of Testosterone so just take an Anti-Androgen ", and " You should only be Taking a natural 17B Oestrogen ", Or the " you don't need to test every thing just these select tes…

Life is becoming increasingly complicated. When I was younger (childhood), I remember wearing my mother's clothes when I could (that is, when I was alone) and feeling wonderful, but scared and ashamed at the same time because "that is not what little boys do". I would repress most of those feelings and impulses during high school (at least the cross dressing) and I thought that maybe it was a phase...I thought that since I was attracted to women that it was natural to want to know what it was like to be a woman and maybe that doesn't describe what I was going through accurately, but it's the best that I can do. After college, I married a woman and during my marriage I …

HELP ! Does anyone know (or have a link to) what are the current passport rules for transgender people? I heard a rumor that if you are having your surgery within 12 months, they let you put your female gender on your passport, (as long as you have therapist letter), and they will give you a temporary one good for a year. Someone else told me that had been extended to 18 months. Anyone know what the current rule is? I am planning my surgery for August of 2011 with Dr. Brassard in Montreal. Thank you.

OK. I'm just working out my problems on your forum. The biggest problem for me is giving up my male identity. He's there, he won't go away. I love him to bits cos he provides the butter on my bread. I don't know. How did you girls sort this out. Another thing, I have a significant other, She's a bit of a Tom I must admit. But if I come out it's going to totally change the the power relstionship. At the moment I'm in charge, but if I accept a female role she'll be in charge. It's not that I mind her being in charge, in fact I find that rather comforting. I'm just afraid she'll make bad decisons. I suppose I'll have to use my feminine wiles on her/him. Take care, HL.

hi im new here. well im 15 years old male and i want to be a 15 year old girl. So my parents dont know it but im planning to order estrogen and progestorone pills. i know how i will hide it already. I was looking up gynomastia and in my research i realized that exactly how i would hide the fact that i will have breast growth. anyway the reason im stalling on taking any estrogens is because of football. i realize some of you may think "if you like football than you probably arnt a trangender" but i am. so i had some questions to ask people that started taking estrogens around my age 1 what kindof mucle reduction did you experiance 2 what kind of breast growth 3 d…

I was switching channels a day or two ago, trying to find something possibly interesting to watch. There is a doctor, I believe his name is Dr. Oz, who has a program about human health. He was talking to a woman who seemed to have had breast reduction surgery because the weight of her large breasts were causing back problems. She said she felt more comfortable with more moderate size breasts.

I've been doing some research on male-to-female sex reassignment surgery and, so far, I've only found one predominate type of surgery: penile inversion. Considering the advancements of cosmetic surgeries over the years, I'm surprised that this is the only type of SRS mentioned. Does anybody know of a male-to-female SRS procedure that does not involve removal of the penis? There are two reasons I ask this. One is that I'm trying to compile information for an academic website in which I outline the kinds of sex reassignment surgeries availabe. The other reason I ask is that it would also allow one to become somewhat intersex through SRS, without having to 'go all the way.' …

This was a hard weekend. On Friday, my wife and I had a wonderful time while the kids were away -- but the prior nights had included two-hour fights and that night we finally got to the stage where I openly was very clear about moving ahead with everything, unless something drastically changed. It killed me to say it out loud and be 100% committed to it, but there it was. The rest of the weekend has been her asking questions on and off; attending a family event Sunday where she was internally very sad and upset but had to put on a happy face for all the relatives (not very good for her ), and today some crying spells. I feel like we have turned a corner and I ha…

My therapist is in the processing of preparing my recommendation letter for hormone therapy. She asked me how long I was full time. There was suddenly silence on the end of the line. I thought hormones were supposed to help me pass so that I could do the real life test? If I do real life on the jobs and with my current customers I have had for years and I were to fail the test, than I have told people that never would have had to know. I have extreme difficulty wearing thick make-up and my fast growing beard. I need the hormones to help slow future growth for the follicles that get missed in electrolysis. Do hormones make electrolysis more difficult to …
