Thanks for Annie's link.. http://www.transkids.us/gid.html I realise that i am a homosexual transsexual. Thats why gender identity is linked with my sexual orientation. SOOOOOOOOOOOO true.

it has been my observation that the sexual orientation of many MTF transsexuals is for the preference of women for partners. today, while reading several posts, all from MTFs, i began to wonder why this is, or seems to be, as the incidence for homosexuality among FTMs seems far less in comparison. i think for the most part, we all know there is the religious aspect - that homosexuality is a sin. i think we all are also aware of the constant barrage of societal messages that homosexuality is far less acceptable for men than for women. not only do men harbour a dislike for gay men, but so do women. male homosexuals have been killed just for being gay - i can't, off …

Just a question about the time required to test ones desire for SRS. Why is it needed to go thru the whole year, since in many cases, that person already spent years od practicing in closet? Some people are sure and there should be a way to skip the one year requred. Experienced consultant could determine, if the desire is genuine. Also, the HRT before causes shrinkage of the needed skin for vagina. Can stretching preserve the lenght? Didi anyone have surgery before HRT? <_<

Well, I'm very curious to hear other people's experiences about being TS. More specifically, I'm talking urgency. How urgent and when did you feel the need to transition? For me it was a state of utter inactivity. I wouldn't live as a boy. So I just let myself get sick. Didn't bath unless I was forced to. Stopped going to school unless I was forced to. Eventually stopped being even the least bit happy with anything. I just sank into myself. Mum was worried that I was slowly becomming one of those people that end up completely inanimate. But anyway. That was during my early and mid teens. I'm 17 now and have been on hormones for about a year or so now. Give or take a…

With the pain and depression and stress that comes from knowing you are in the wrong body, and therefore must have felt depression at some time, has any Dr. given you antidepressants hoping that will make things *ok* for you? I would suspect that some would, and I was wondering if you thought this actually made it 'worse' rather than better. Because I know first hand that SSRI's can make you feel apathetic, and unmotivated. Modern medicine sometimes like to 'suppress' pain rather than deal with it head on.

Hello, Im new to the site but was trying to get some input and replys from individauls using T-Blocker's and how they are working for them. I just started taking 2 differant medication's used as I was told by my Dr. as Testorine blocker's. I am taking Spironolactone, and Proscar(Finasteride). I was told I could use both in combination in the hopes of deturring facial and body hair. I am currently under going electrolysis for beard removal and just wanted to get some feed back from anyone using iether of these 2 medications as T-Blocker's,specifically how long it takes too see visable results and how these medications have worked for other's. I was told Proscar might dim…

okay...let's try this again. i had never done a poll on the forums before and it didn't come out as i expected. so...as i was sayin', in chat it seems that most FTMs prefer straight females for partners, and many MTFs seem to prefer females for thier partners. this has only been an observation based on the few i see in chat, so it may not be representative of the majority. also, thanks to kenny, i realized i left a choice out of the original poll/post. what's your preference for a partner in a relationship? 1. Straight men 2. Gay men 3. Straight women 4. Lesbian women 5. Bi-sexual female 6. Bi-sexual male 7. MTF (pre-op) 8. MTF (post-op) 9.…

I have seen a few posts that were describing some of the pain that was felt, and the feeling of hating the body you saw in the mirror, but started to feel better when HRT started. Did you feel better because you were moving that much further along in the transition, or is it because the actual hormones are affecting how you see yourself? Coming form a born female here, I have rarely, if ever felt like the hormones were "kind" to me. What do the hormones do? I know that for me they regulate the reproductive system and such (to no avail for me), but when reproducing isnt the issue, do they have an effect on how you actually 'feel'?

I hope this doesnt sound like too stupid a question, but since I have been hanging out here, and getting to know and admire you ladies, I have been talking to some folks I know at work, and so forth, about their opinions of the TG folks. I do this because now that I have hung around here, I am interested in learning more and I was curious how people I know feel about TG people. If anyone sounds negative I find myself taking immediate issue with them, and realize that they are speaking out of ignorance so I pipe up and become an advocate of sorts, but I don't know how to respond to their theory that TG's are "gay men who wear girls clothes". I know this is not the case.…

I am a 28 year post op MtF and have been on estynal for 25 of those years prescribed by my doctor. I have moved from a large Metro Plex to a small rural area in south Texas and have been with out my medication for three years. The hot flashes and night sweats have become unbearable and weight loss mood swings etc. Problem is I have no idea how to go about finding a doctor to prescribe my medication and or if medications have possibly changed over the years. I also am wondering what the side effects for a post op that are not taking their medication? Anyone have any simuler experience or know where I might start to look for a doctor? I live in a very stealth mode (new w…

First off, let me start off by saying I understand this is a VERY personal question, so I will not be offended if anyone insists on not replying. I guess what I want to know is, how 'realistic' is the vagina after an SRS? Not just appearance, but along the lines of physical sensitivity? Will I have a G-spot? And...*cough* what about female ejaculation? This is incredibly embarassing to ask, I have to admit -.- But I'm very curious, and would like to know if anyone's willing to share something so personal.

i hope someone will lend an ear to this... i identify to myself as transgender... and this is why; since i was a child i never felt right in my body... when i was 3 or 4 my moms favorite story was when she asked me how her little boy was, i told her i wasn't her little boy... she never probed any farther... in school i would rather read a book, play hopscoth, or be with the girls, not playing football, or other things with the guys.. when i was 10 or 12 i started wearing my moms undergarments... panties, nylons, etc... i felt like i was supposed to, it was comfortable to me. then i went into the army at age 18 "had to be a man" i kept myself busy, got married and ra…

Hi, I don't know if this is the best place to ask, but generally, MtF's, after SRS, what is your new vagina like? Depth wise, sensitivity wise, and does it lubricate at all? It's just something I've been wondering about for a long time and I would like to hear what it's like for you so I can get a general idea of what to expect in the future.

Hello, all... my name is Danielle; I'm a ts in my mid-forties, and I have an urgent request for help here on deciding where to move... it's such a looong story, but I find myself now with a unique opportunity to go start anew somewhere... I've been stuck in OH for quite a few years now, and this place is horrible if you ask me... My own research has yielded the following possibilities: Minneapolis - There's the transgendered program at the U of M to consider; I also have a single contact in that town who has offered to help me get on my feet... but it's been a long time since I've been on 'em, and she's a good friend but with no real experience in dealing with transge…

Today is two things for me. First, it's Australia day, which means my parents are out, I'm not, and I'm having friends over. Second, I'm transitioning today. In an hour one friend will be arriving with my clothes, and... yeah. My parents will come home, and then what happens happens =/ Its a scary thought, just having my parents come home and see me like that.

I'm just in a curious mood and can't sleep tonight. Who's on HRT (Hormon Replacement Therapy) MTF? How long have you been taking F hormones? Self medicated or with Dr. supervision. How do you feel about your HRT? Would you ever stop HRT? Even if you were told you had to. Has taking hormones changed your perspective on life? I have been on F hormones for a year and a half. One year and 3 months self medicating and 3 months with Dr. supervsion. I strongly recommend Dr. supervision. I am much more confident about my decision now. I really like my HRT and enjoy every bit of it. I don't think I could ever stop HRT. I feel so much more normal now…

Hi, I'd be really interested in hearing experiences of people revealing their transsexual status to unsuspecting partners. Has anyone come clean about this with a love interest who only knows you as your "new" gender? How did he/she take it? I actually have never done this, and I've dated several guys. I have not dated anyone for three years though, because I made a deal with myself that the next guy that I met who I felt something for (and who seemed to feel something for me) I would just be honest with him and tell him the truth. There is someone who I'm considering telling...but I'd love to hear anyone else's experiences with this type of thing. Thanks so much…

I want to come out so badly, I'm sick of walking around in this male body with everyone looking at me as a boy, but whenever I'm about to say this sentence to a friend "I'm transgendered and in a few years I plan to become a girl", it just won't come out of my mouth.

how long did it take for your breasts to grow in full? or able to walk outside with a chemisole, and not look like a young girl?

I'm a pre-op MtF and ever since I can remember I've prayed to God to PLEASE let me get pregnant. Although I know on an intellectual level that someone born with a penis isn't going to get pregnant, emotionally I can't help but to want to give birth to my own children. I know how insane this sounds, but I see this as one very big indicator that I have a female brain and tell psychiatrists about this thought when they ask why I think I want to have srs. Sorry if this bothers you, really, I just needed to get it out.

I'm perplexed and curious. I've read the surgical descriptions of how SRS is performed. The prostate is left. I have found nothing on the seminal vesicles so I assume those remain. So, since the testicles provide the sperm and just a minor fraction of the total ejaculate, then why does ejaculation stop after SRS? Not that anyone would want it to, but am curious what causes it to stop? Is something else done during the surgery, or is it just the hormonal change that prevents it just as after being on hormone therapy for a long time?

Over the last couple of weeks I have been finding myself slipping into some of the most full on mood swings I have ever experienced and am assuming that it is being caused by my hormones. I have been taking Androcur and progynova and am due to go and see my doctor tomorrow for the first time in months but am wondering what a lot of you do to cope with the mood swings and the depression. Could these be caused by a hormone imbalance? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks heaps Caio For Now Kamanika B)
