As i start my journey into womanhood, i just have a question for all! You know the whole story about penis envy......is vagina envy possible. I have always been that way. Just wondering what your thoughts were!

Hi Bonnie, good idea to not hijack that thread. I'm just wondering if you would consider yourself to be a CD more than a TS? I mean, if your family didnt care either way, what do you think your path would be? Since you are looking to find a man that would treat you as female, would that be found in a gay man, do gay men have issues with their partner wanting to be female, I don't know. I hope you can find some happiness living the way you need to right now, you have already had to go through alot.

Hi New to this forum, I am Stephanie Elizabeth Anne Butterfield, I am a campaigner for TS awareness in my home town in North East England. I am 44, was diagnosed in January 2007, and started HRT a month later, my responsiveness to my oestrogen has been quite good, being "B" cup going ontowards "C". I have my 3rd appointment with my Gender Psychiatrist on the 29th this month. I hope to get my first opinion letter for surgery as well as have my Estradiol raised to further boost my feminine development. yours Stephanie

I am asking this because I am increasingly feeling lost , I am not sure where I belong . I know I am transgender but I also know this is a largely an umbrella term . I wear only womens clothing save for my shirt at work , I only use womens products , I use pantyliners and am taking mild hormones ( not to create physical change ) would that I could I would have breasts but I do not want to transition. So where do I fit in our community ? I have become increasingly confused as to where I fit in , I have been coming out more and more and really don't care anymore who knows who I am .

Hi everyone, I'm a gender questioning young adult (MTF) and was wondering if i should transition or not. Since i was a teenager, i felt that i should of been a girl. I wanted to grow breasts. This feeling came and gone but it slowing built up. However, i never dress before because i don't have any sisters and my mom clothes would never fit. I don't know what i would look like as a girl. However, i have a urge on seeing how i look as a girl completely dress. I have tried on a bra and it felt awkward at first then it made be feel whole. Also, i could never really relate to the guys. My role models are the women in my family. However, i don't really have girl te…

Last night I met with my family as Shannon for the first time and it went really well. Today, about halfway through the workday, the landlord came and changed the locks on the business where I work. Apparently they had been lax with the rent. I'm still not sure if I'm unemployed just yet, but it would appear that way for the moment. I have surprisingly mixed feelings about this. On the one hand I'm short income... On the other I may never have to be Joe ever again and that feels incredible. I'm not sure which outcome is the better one... On a side note, if anyone has work for a possibly laid off Graphic Designer, I might suddenly be very available.

I really have no desire to increase breast tissue/size (too afraid it will be noticed) but I have always wanted the increased sensitivity that woman seem to enjoy. Is there any way to get the sensitivity with little to no growth? Thanks.

As I live in Thailand carrying out research on T-matters, I wondered why all Thai transsexuals are sexually orientated towards men. I haven't met anyone yet who changes from boy to girl and then turns into a lesbian. My husband is a SRS surgeon in Bangkok and most of his clients are western transsexuals. He is always surprised to learn that most of them are (or have been) married (with children) and their sexual orientation is towards women. In Thailand this fenomenon is quite unusual. Although there are more transsexuals than streetlights in Thailand, they haven't been married to women before they transitioned. Kind regards... Pantau (I am myself 25 years post-op (tra…

Hi Everyone, Sorry for starting a new topic. I'm dealing with a lot of jealousy issues with my gender therapist. For years I have felt jealous towards other women. I guess it started back when I was in Grade School and seeing girls going thru puberty and all. I wanted to be them. Then HS I wanted to be the cheerleader. I even was jealous on my wedding day. Although my wife knows all about me I refuse to tell her about things I have been jealous of with her. On my wedding day I wanted to be the Bride. I hated not being the bride. I wanted to be the woman that my wife was that day. Through the years of marriage my jealousy grew stronger, everything from her GG body, to w…

Happy Holidays To All! Just wanted to write some excting news to everyone. For the first time I went over to my familys house as Kellie. I must tell you that everything was great. My two sisters and Mom all have been very supportive and even surpirsed me with some new clothes for christmas. YIPPY! On the otherhnd my brother in laws avoide me like the plaque. For the first time in my 32 years on earth I felt like I should have always felt. I dreamed for so long to be able to wear a nice black skirt suit, with black stockings and heels, like my soon to be ex wife wore when we went there. I was truly a woman. I felt so wonderful being myself. A Dream Come True!!!! THE …

Yesterday, I was on a date in Atlanitc City when my phone rang. It was my mom, but i didn't answer it because she'd never heard my voice as shannon before and I really didnt want to put on the joe voice in public. Unfortunately, when I don't answer my phone when my mom calls, she just keeps calling every five minutes. So I answered and my mom was like "Hello? Who is this? Is Joe there?" and I said that it was me and I wasn't home. She said later after she got off the phone with me she felt like an idiot for not picking up on it. So, being able to fool your own mom is definitely a great way to build confidence.

there have been a few posts made in recent weeks about wives, and female partners and SOs. and it dawned on me that while women are more likely to be accepting of TG/TS individuals...heterosexual and homosexual women react differently in relationships. some heterosexual women make it quite clear they want nothing to do with their MTF partners. they want the "man" they married, or the "woman" can get the hell out. and then there seem to be quite a few very accepting wives, who've decided to stay and build a new and/or different relationship. they stay with their MTF spouses despite the fact that these women are not lesbians, knowing that is probably how the outside…

Hey everyone, just quick question. Awhile back, someone posted a link to a website that described the brain chemistry differences across the spectrum of homosexual males, heterosexual males, transexual males, homosexual females, heterosexual females, and transexual females. I remember the results basically showing that homosexuals were very close in composition to their heterosexual counterpart of their birth gender, and showed that transexuals were very close in brain composition to their opposite gender's heterosexual levels. I began searching for this but gave up because of how active the forums are. The reason I am asking is, a news-based website my friend fre…

Hi All, Just wanted to follow up on the post I made a few days ago. I came out to my sisters and brother. Well, my sisters took it well and even my one sister said she was proud of me that I had the courage to do it! She has also said she would love to help me with any makeup tips, clothing, ect. My Brother took it bad and refuses to talk to me. My best friend since 2nd grade has really been suportive he and his wife have really supported me and they are looking forward to see Kellie coming along! Also even though my wife and I are getting a divorce, she said she will be one of my closiest friends and even made the comment that if I was to get married as a post-op that…

Hi All, Well I have been in extensive therapy with my gender counselor and psychiatrist. They have both agreed that I'm a transgender. All the feelings I have had in all my life have been running on a female level in my brain. I came out to my wife about 1 1/2 months ago. She kinda new since I would hint on it all of our marriage. She wants me to be happy in life and told me that at the age of 34 I have a lot ahead of me and should not be miserable. She has seen me through so many problems with alcohol and prescription drugs. Well, we that being said she has told me that she will seek a divorce. Which I cant understand. Se married or thought she married a man as she tol…

Today was the happiest day of my life. I went to the mailbox and a letter from the Clinic was there. The first thing I thought was of great another bill. I opened it and saw that I had approved for SRS. I cried all day. I made copies and have original framed onthe wall. The world has now opened up. I still can't believe it. For something that has occupied my entire life to be confirmed is awesome. I just hope I am not too old for the surgery. Yes Jolene, there is a Santa Clause !

So you're feeling depressed lately. You're sick of being someone you're not. If you're reading this and are still a teenager and you know without a shadow of a doubt that you are a transsexual - don't wait. Tell someone...anyone! Seek help. Go see a therapist. Tell your parents, a counselor a clergy...and then start the process to transition as soon as possible. This is especially true for those of you that are male to female. You will forever regret having decided to try to deal with your transsexuality and deny your true self. Testosterone will ravage your body. Trust me...do not wait. All you'll be doing is postponing what will be and if you wait it'll be 100 times w…

I just emailed a letter coming out to my parents. I wonder if this feels similar to what it would be like to hit the button that starts WWIII. Nothing to do but to sit back and wait for the return fire.

Anyway, I'll stop in from time to time if you don't mind and make a comment or two. You all have a great day! :)

The other thread got me to thinking of a hypothetical scenario. Let's say if it becomes possible to swap male and female parts 'down there', and was a relatively safe procedure, would you team up with a trans person of the other gender and trade? How much would your decision be influenced by partial functionality (but better than current procedures) vs full functionality? How much would knowing the 'part' belonged to someone else influence your decision? Me... I don't know if I'd go through with it. MIWBJ

I just had a thought that I wanted to toss around to get some opinions on. Yesterday I met this young man that was 6 foot 7 inches tall. He wore a size 16 boot. His hands were very big, one of his fingers was the equivalent of two of mine. I just couldn't help but wonder.... If I was that huge would I completely toss out any ideas of myself being transgendered and wanting to be a woman? I tried picturing this very large young man dressed to the hilt as a female. It was kind of a funny thought. I don't think that I would want to be a woman being that huge. I would love to hear some of your opinions on this. You really had to be here to see this guy.

Some weeks/months ago, Dear Abby made the news and the board when asked what should be done with the childhood photos where her brother-in-law is dressed as a little girl. She anticipated that children she would eventually have would ask questions if they saw the pictures. Well, of course they would! This week, in the Thursday paper, she printed the responses she received from several transsexuals. I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned here, yet. "Our" advice universally agreed that she should ask her husband to approach his brother about the question and abide by his wishes. Abby took it all very well. Several letters expressed how we feel -- born in the wron…

Being six foot eight I was very worried that I would never pass for female. Despite this, I seem to have been fairly successful over the past year. Even before I started transitioning I've always stood out in a crowd. The comments went from, "Wow, that guy's tall!" to "Ha ha! Look at the fag." to "Is that a guy or a girl?" and finally "Wow, that's a tall chick!" What really takes the cake, however, is an incident that happened today. I've been working at a new job for about a month now. This is the first job I've ever had where nobody knew me as a guy. Today one of my coworkers came up to me and asked if I could spare a tampon. Now, I'm not exactly stealth, so I was a…
