if you could not pass or pass very well would you settle on being androgynous?

My favorite colors are Pink and Gold. I want to have an outfit that has both of those someday. Pink's my favorite favorite though, Gold's just my favorite. Tee hee hee, it's fun talking about this. Someday I'd like to wear a pink dress that has gold lacing on it's hem, sleeves, and lover's neckline, with white stalkings and maybe gold or pink or white tennis shoes, and a golden ribbon to tie in my hair. Tee hee hee, it's fun to talk about dream outfits, does anybody else have a 'dream' outfit they want to share? Come on, it's F-U-N! Oh, and to all the members of this forum (Especially Mary Ellen (This is your name right, ooh I hope I got it right, I'm SOO SORRY if I di…

And said, you can have anybody's body style you wish, and when you wake up the next day, you will have that body, who would you chose? Men and women answer please. I'm thinking Jessica Simpson for me. -Kim

I simply can not see a need for gender separate fitting rooms.Considering they are one - person- at - a- time!! What's the big deal? When I use the fitting room I hardly care who .male or female. has used it before me! (or who will afterword for that matter) :o

this might seem like a rather bizarre question but.if you could change your nationality.ethnicity or race would you ? i myself am one half native american and one half european . i am constantly asked :youre not a real indian are you?: well if you mean do i fit the stereotype then i.d have to say no if i had a magic wand i would turn myself into a beuatiful .young.and sexy native american woman

I'd like to hear some opinions on this. I told my parents I am FtM more than half a year ago. They still call me by my female name, talk about my life as though I lived like a girl, and discourage me when I'm talking about anything except seeing a psychiatrist (my mother really believes in therapy an all such things). I told my mother (very seriously) to call me by my male name after she'd called me by my female name when I had some new friends (who'd only ever heard my male name) with me when visiting her (she lets us use her apartment to party a little sometimes, it's a big apartment and she lives alone so she likes having people around). She "tried" for half a day,…

Most M2Fs have an ability most GGs don't: The ability to pass as a male. Are there any full-time M2Fs here who use this ability to their advantage? For example, if you need to walk alone at night, you do have the option of impersonating a guy so that you're less likely to be bothered. I'm not full-time myself, but I do go out as a girl a lot. I've recently taking to walking an hour per day, several days a week to try to slim down my belly/waist. My boyfriend told me I should do my walking as a guy so that I won't be hit on by random guys. Note: I'm not as gender dysphoric as a canonical M2F, i.e. I don't loath my male self, but I do prefer being female.

My definition of sex is any activity between two or more people that involves contact with genitalia for the purpose of sexual pleasure. So if somebody pleased you with their hand and that was all, I still count it as sex. Please use my definition when answering. Specify if you want to.

Hi everyone, I am an mtf, 27 years old, who started transitioning about 5 months ago, on hormones for almost 2 months. I wanted to hear a third opinion on an issue that is very pressing to me -- my doubts about what I am doing, namely, the transitioning thing. The point is, it feels right, and I have been dealt a few good cards by nature as to appearance (testosteron seems to have forgotten to affect both my voice and everything below my neck) and I get ma'amed several times a week in boy mode even with (still) short hair. I almost never get sirred. I realize really good passing will probably never be realistic, since my face is not perfect and I think almost no mtf ever …

With all the talk about the side effect of hormones, does anyone know which form is best? Is it better to go the patch route or the gel. Is one pill safer than another? I use the sublingual form which is said to go directly into the blood stream thus avoiding liver damage. Would the patch be better? I sure could use some opinions from girls that are more experienced than me. :)

Hi everyone. I'm an 18 yr old mtf who's been on hrt for a little over 17 months. Some of y'all probably already knew that. I don't doubt that one day I'll get FFS and SRS, along with a good voice coach and some electrolysis, but it's what happens afterwards that I don't know about. Anyway, I'm in college and I'll likely graduate in 4 years. But, the thing is, I have no idea what to do with myself in life. I already know what I want -- friends and, if I'm lucky, a lover, but I see no prospects for me ever having either of those. I've been a loner since pre-school, and people don't ever let themselves come close to me. Now, I'm out about being TG, and I definitely…

I am currently in the process of a career change and interviewing for jobs and I am looking to buy myself a nice pant suit. I have found one that I really like online, but I need specific measurements in order to get the right fit. For the suit I am looking at I need to provide measurements for bust, waist, high hips, and low hips, as well as height. The height part, of course, is easy, but what I am wondering is *where* exactly on my body I take the rest of these measurements, especially the ones for the hips? Also, should I take these measurements standing up or lying down? I have noticed there is a little bit of difference. I know these probably sound like dumb que…

I have read repeatedly about how transsexuals need to be cautious when using female hormones. Some websites go into great details about possible harmful effects female hormones can have on one's health. I am curious as to whether any of you have had any detrimental side effects, especially serious or potentially serious, using female hormones. Or do you know any other transsexuals who have had such effects on their health? I am taking relatively low dosages of female hormones and spirolactone, but at 57, I occasionally wonder about how many transsexuals experience health problems related to using female hormones. I also am curious if anyone knows, preferably…

If money was no object at all, what makes some women feel they MUST have SRS, while others are perfectly content as is. Of course I understand that assimilation into the female populous is a need for all women, just wondering why some dont care about SRS while others will get it done if it's the last thing they do. Take finances out of the picture, what are the driving reasons? Also, I was wondering what needs to be done physically, if anything, before you can actually change your drivers license/passport etc. Can you also get your birth certificate changed? -Kim

I've been doing some research on male-to-female sex reassignment surgery and, so far, I've only found one predominate type of surgery: penile inversion. Considering the advancements of cosmetic surgeries over the years, I'm surprised that this is the only type of SRS mentioned. Does anybody know of a male-to-female SRS procedure that does not involve removal of the penis? There are two reasons I ask this. One is that I'm trying to compile information for an academic website in which I outline the kinds of sex reassignment surgeries availabe. The other reason I ask is that it would also allow one to become somewhat intersex through SRS, without having to 'go all the way.' …

Hi there, I am new to this site so hello all. :-) I'm a 29 year old post op woman, who had surgery in 2000 with Dr. Meltzer. I'm writing in hopes that other MTF post-op gals could share how they care for their "parts." Unfortunately, I have had a seemingly continuous discharge (sorry to be graphic) for the last five years and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I long ago lost the post op care literature that the doctor gave me, and so I don't know how often a TS is supposed to douche (I do it very rarely) and as I said, if others could post their vaginal care "regimens" (how often do you douche and with what solution, etc) I would be truly grateful. Perhaps by hearing …

I discovered about six years ago I did not have any sperm. Last year I began trying to ascertain the possible causes of this condition. One of the possibilities seemed to be Kleinfelter's syndrome, as I seemed to exhibit in much of my life some, but certainly not most, of symptoms associatd with this condition. A lab test last summer confirmed I did not have Kleinfelter's. However, it was discovered my Y chromosome had two copies of the short arm and some loss from the long arm, which resulted in me being infertile from birth. Neither the physican who prescribed the lab test, a gender therapist I went to last summer nor a genetics specialist who later contact…

From what I have read and common sense indicates, some transsexuals are very fortunate in being quite passable, some transsexuals pursue various surgeries to become passable or more passable and some transsexuals know they will probably never be passable, but decide they must live as females anyway. Some transsexuals also eventually decide not to live full-time as a female and/or have SRS because they feel and perceive they can not be truly passable to an extent desired. I have wanted to pass as a female since about my mid 20's, but I have been too shy, passive and lacked self-confidence to try to pass in public as a female, many years before beginning female hormones. …

While wanting to remain entirely within the board's rules on not discussing dosages and so forth, I'd like to hear of others' experiences with supplementing their estrogen regimen with progesterone or any form of progestin, but especially 'natural' i.e. micronised progesterone. Effects, both good and bad would be interesting to read about and whether people feel whether it's been beneficial to them for whatever reason. I'm aware that its use is somewhat controversial for TSs but its near-impossible to find any useful literature on the subject, however I'd like to know a bit more about things before I see my endocrinologist in November. Thanks in advance for your …

I'm just curious, testosterone blockers, what permanent effects do they have like biologically (do they sterilize you?) and also do they have any effect on body composure such as breaking down of muscle mass?

So...my wife said she'd buy me boobs for Christmas I'm trying to do a bit of research, and I'd like a little info from you all if you happen to know. First off, what types of implants are used? I know the norm is a saline implant, and silicone implants are sometimes used. Aside from the possible health risks with silicone, which of these two are going to look more natural? Also, I still haven't started my HRT yet (hopefully in the next month or so). Now, assuming I some how come up with the money in a timely fashion, should I wait a length of time before getting the implants, to let the hormones kick in? Or is this not a concern? Anyways, thanks all!

here's another poll i thought of after reading dev's reply in the "How Far Do You Plan to Go" thread/poll in the FTM forum. i've never seen too much in the way of progress when it comes to SRS for either the men or the women, but especially the men. but then i've not really researched it either. despite that, however, it seems to me in all the things i have read, information like that would be in yer face so to speak.

I read in a post that Annie wrote that a majority of TS are non-op. It may have said pre-op, but I was wondering if the majority are pre-op or non-op? When I first visited here, i assumed that most were post-op, but learned this was not true. I'm not sure that there are any post-op regular posters here, am i wrong? If you are a TS and will want to be with a straight male as partner, you would then *need* to go for SRS. Would that be a common reason for SRS, or are there deeper reasons that are different for some even though all should have been *born* female. I'm still learning! -Kim PS) I have to go for a magnification mammogram tomorrow, Dr said it's to err o…

Well I've noticed a lot of people aren't yet on HRT. Why is it taking so long? I'm by no means trying to rub anything in. Perhaps I was in some stupid way a "special case"? ( I'm used to that. Beena ginuea pig all my life with medicine, GID wasn't the only disorder I was born with. ) I came out in December of 2004 to my parents. Received councilling and was on T-blockers by I believe April 2005. Then I was on Estrogen by I believe August. And finally I was put on Progesterone at December of 2005. Is my progression fast? Or is it merely a case of me having no concept of time? It seems to take much longer for you other girls and I don't get why? Raises all sorts o…

Hi all! In my web wanderings I have encountered a site that I really think you should take a peek at. It personifies why we are all oppressed and shunned by people we have never done a wrong thing to. Its good to know what we battle. This link will take you to an article that just fried me. I'm sure there's lots of other things on this site equally outrageous. If you look here, be prepared to bristle. Mark's opinion GRRRRR! Annie
