I was told over phone that the reason I am being denied for my breasts augmentation surgery cause I yet to completed 24 months of Hormones Replacement Therapy and not completed 24 months living as a female. Based on New York State Medicaid Policy. I truly expressed how I felt and how this is truly unfair by denying my Gender Dysphoria Treatment. I stated that when I originally had Doctor Jerry Chang to submit pre-authorization for breasts augmentation surgery I was denied on March 20, 2018 where United Health Care Community Plan was following United Health Care Community Plan Policy, Policy Number CS145.A, Effective Date 10/1/2017. Now, I want this denie…

I have been wondering why I get a sensation or a strong impression that I have female genitalia and/or breasts. Although I do consciously imagine being female, these particular sensations appear to come from nowhere so I don't think in these instances it is just a case of wishful thinking. In a way it could appear similar to people who have phantom limbs, being able to feel an arm or leg when it has been amputated. Some theories have been put forth suggesting that there is an area of the brain responsible for body mapping and that this body map is hardwired in the brain. I have read studies where FTM's growing up have a strong sensation that they have a phallus and/…

Hello, I am a mom of a 16 year old boy who recently told me he is questioning his sexual identity. I am very open, I have a great relationship with him and have been doing a lot of research on transgender transition. I found a gender therapist and had our first meeting today, it was just her and I and he will start next week. I liked her but she brought up some things that got me questioning some things. My experiences with trans MTF has been women who post on YouTube and share (they are all beautiful), an old classmate, who is beautiful, a few people I have seen on TV, who have all been beautiful... all look very feminine. I have another trans friend that is less fem…

I have found they do SRS in Guadalajara Mexico for about $10,000. Yea, I know that's a low price and people say you get what you pay for. But without insurance, I have to keep it affordable if I want to get it done at all. Anyway, I have looked on the internet, and haven't found a lot of information, for or against having SRS in Mexico. You would think if they did poor work, people would be more than willing to post "DON'T GO THERE" or something like that, but I'm not finding any negative reviews. But then again, I'm not finding any positive reviews either. Does anyone out there have any experience with SRS in Mexico? Have you heard or read anything positiv…

  7. my question is not about the technical aspects of changing the voice but how you go about transitioning it in society. i think i can do a female voice, though i cant quite tell on the smartphone recorder. i have changed smaller towns twice recently for other reasons. i dont think strangers should be called sir and maam. but once people or relatives, most who arent friends, have heard you one way, i feel (kind of?) embarrassed to change.

I hear a lot of stuff on this forum about people who felt they were female from their earliest years, But we're ignoring a big section of the transgender community. The truth is that this can hit you at any age. You drink too much, maybe you'll go female. It's not so much about mental attitude (well it is) but more about physical changes to your body, and consequent changes in your mental attitude. You notice how men get softer and more compliant after they hit 50, hormonal changes. Young men are risk takers, we love them and admire them for that, but when you're older it's not quite so attractive, We need to dump this whole idea of male/ female identity, and adopt a more…

Forced into a vulvoplasty due to exposure to agent orange in 1985. Member of Blackwater mercenary group for 45 years. Diagnosed with dermatomyositis (muscles detaching from tendons) by mayo 18 years ago. Past February, at deaths door...pain unbearable. Testicles to the point I could not move. My doctor / surgeon recommended removal. He discovered that my testicles although appearing normal size, aspiration showed they were the size of a peanut. Still producing some kind of messed up testosterone. The pain I had suffered for the past 17 years was finally gone. I had 9 penis implants. All had issues. Finally decided to remove implant and give up on sex. 67 years…

  11. I've been on hormones and in transition for about 6 years, if I remember correctly, now. My voice has softened, my breasts are much larger, body hair is thinner and less coarse, and I'm much more comfortable in my own skin. Adrianne and I have talked, and I feel I'm ready to go for GCS. I'm going for zero depth. The work and effort to maintain a healthy neovagina with depth is more than I feel I could keep up with. I want to know what it feels like to be penetrated, but the cons outweigh the pros. But there are things I need to know first. 1 - I use electrolysis instead of laser due to tattoos. I have no ink on my genitals, but do I need to have the hair on…

Basically it states that Regardless of sexual orientation:- Men have almost twice as many somatostatin neurons as women Male-to-female transsexual neuron numbers are similar to that of females Female-to-male transsexual neuron numbers are similar to that of Males. http://jcem.endojour.../85/5/2034.full

  17. I live in the state of North Carolina and I'm trying to find the right doctor alot of the doctors offices around me are very religious beliefs offices I'm not saying that it's bad but a lot of them either tell me that they have never studied that in school or it was against their belief I'm asking for help in direction how to go

  18. I wouldn't expect anything more from the Daily mail, see how they sensationalize this story. The give the reason for this girls Gender Affirmation as an obsession to look like Britney spears, then appear to scoff at the amount of money she has spent. They fail to address any Trans issues. Boy obsessed with Britney Spears spends £60,000 to get sex change to look like his idol Well I think she's beautiful, brave and courageous...........

I’ve only had one procedure so far which was an orchiectomy about a year ago. I have intentions of going for full gender reassignment when I’m able and feel fully ready. But I wanted to see what you ladies who already have can offer as rules and pointers about personal care. I can google this type of thing, but every time I try, all I ever get is a bunch of sick porn sites. So I wanted to “get it from the horses mouth”, so to speak. I want to know absolutely everything I can before I begin the steps to a surgeon.

So I am very lucky to have such a supportive mother. I was talking to her about all the things I have coming up with process and making my decision. She was amazed at everything I was telling her about hormones. Shes being there as usual and I am very lucky. We even discussed a bit womens names, so I have a couple good ones. I feel thats alot weight off. I also will be seeing my Dr Thurs to go over hormones levels as they are. I am kinda hoping that they are low and close to woman's. Im looking for those signs... I guess we will game plan the hormone regimen as well.... I have not started blogging yet but probably will once a firm decision and plan is in place. …

My day began with a visit to my therapist who said she would have my letter of recommendation out the last week of the month. She asked me when you plan to change your name. I said after surgery is performed. She responded with, no need to wait, I will write you a letter for DMZ and said she is on a list with them for this. I am moving up the date to change my Driver’s license and official name change in general to December instead of March or April as originally planned. Got home and while in the bathroom noticed my bangs were getting long and for the first time decided to have my bangs trimmed by my regular hair stylist. I walk in and the owner gives me a strange loo…

Hello everyone. My name is Kierin. I am new to the site and very new to addressing my gender dysphoria. I live in L.A., I’m a registered nurse completing my nurse practitioner certificate, and I said I’m trans, out loud, to another person for the first time today. I’m not exactly sure what that means for me at this point, but I’m hoping I can find some resources, support and friendship here. Happy Pride!

Been wearing two thumb rings on my right thumb for over three years, I noticed that over the past two months or so they tend to start sliding off. Well today both slide off so I got out my ring sizer and set it to the size of the rings then shrunk it down till it was snug and also capable of removing. The size jumped from a 10 to a 9 and have no clue why. I am in excellent heath (just had my annual physical) so the only thing it could possible be is perhaps hormones. Anyone else here have something similar happen to them?
