Hello Dr. Spack, My name is Erica Elizabeth Ravenwood. I have been, among other things, an advocate for transgender children. I myself am transgender and I recognize the immense need, my obligation, to try to save transgender children from living my fate. I ran across a lecture of your's on YouTube. It was posted by a parent's group and was listed after one of my own videos. I was thrilled to find we agree on every point. I would like to share my work with you. I have no degree. No formal schooling. Bullying took that right from me. Still I would be very pleased if you would take a look. Though denied the chance to learn in a classroom setting I have been blessed to stand…

Steve Helling | 01/07/2015, 7:00 PM EST "Elliot also has had some surprising reactions. "I went off to college expecting there to be zero ignorance, and I was very, very wrong," he says. "People will say inappropriate things and ask inappropriate questions. Some of them are simple curiosity, and they don't realize that they're being offensive. But then there are some people who are trying to be mean. You learn to tell the difference."" -- people.com The DeMita Fletcher Family: What We Learned From Our Transgender Son

After talking to my best friend and her mom I want to start transitioning. My friend started three years ago and she looks so much different. Her mom is very supportive of her decision but I know my parents won't be. I haven't even told them how I feel. My friend and her mom said that they will help me as much as they can. What should I do? I don't want to wait until I've fully gone through puberty as a male to start to transition to female because I know it will make it much more difficult.

BY Tobias SalingerNEW YORK DAILY NEWSUpdated: Wednesday, February 3, 2016, 9:39 AMA 9-year-old transgender Girl Scout has suffered smears online and in person just for selling the Scouts’ famous cookies. Yet Stormi, who lives in Herrin in Southern Illinois, has also received an outpouring of love in the form of thousands of cookies sold despite the hateful comments directed at her, BuzzFeed News reported Monday. Stormi was knocking on doors with her foster mother last month when a man at one home expressed opposition to the Girl Scouts of America’s inclusive policies by insulting a little girl. “Nobody wants to buy cookies from a boy in a dress,” the man who lives nearby …

last night I went to a trans meeting here in Reno and got to meet the mother of a child who made the news concerning Cee Cee and the bathroom situation at a school. I felt both honored and blessed to get to know this mothers story about her child going through transition and the fact the mother is now dating a transman. I tried to find the post on here, cause i swear i thought there was one on her..but couldnt find it. Cee Cee who is 9yrs old was just the happiest girl, running around the pizza place where we had the meeting at, playing video games. http://www.kolotv.com/home/headlines/Nine-Year-Old-Transgender-Declares-Identity-268764841.html?device=phone

i think people should get to know their options that could (help) them not have to grow facial and body hair!! i am older now, but did they all know in the 1980s that hormone treatments at puberty could keep people from the need to deal with that kind of hair? i suppose there are other (important) issues to consider for some people. but still! ...not the time it takes as much as the difficulty of doing it perfect consistently and the irritation. i have other skin issues and stuff that maybe complicate it.
