I live in the SF, CA Bay Area and have written a book about my personal journey to understanding as the significant other to Jack/Jocelyn, who transitioned from M2F in the 1990's. Back then, little was talked about, less was known about what it meant to be transgender or transsexual. I began to write my story in 2004,  and began taking the roughly written chapters to open mic venues in the Bay Area and began reading my story. Now, at long last my book is available and you can find it through your local bookstore and on Amazon. It is my hope that by sharing my experience with others, I may shed light on questions that the ordinary person doesn't dare ask and those feelings and questions that a significant other may have when their friend, lover, husband, wife, comes out about their desire to transition.  I also touch upon other subjects that are still behind closed doors hoping to help inform and educate others. I have been away from TGGuide as a moderator as I completed my writing and put in my effort to get it out to public but I hope that my story will reach out in a way that will provide support to you and your loved one and perhaps answer so many of the questions that still remain hidden behind closed doors.
