I hesitantly post this, but it seems needful to me, to never forget that cruelty thrives in people i can only see as incredibly damaged and misinformed. Please, always be careful out there. A minority movement can grow, and a minority member can strike.

about our choices as transgender. Why do we need to subject ourselves to doctors whom claim to be transgender specialist. Doctors who don't accept insurance and don't prescribe hormones. Doctors who treat us like a star way to become rich and famous. This kind of doctor that I've been seeing. Why can't we just go to a regular endocrinologist and explain our case as any regular patient? I think that's what i am doing next. I would love to hear what every body else has to say.

Ok mates, I'm in full panic mode. Had my first official transgender related shrink's appt. Got nervous. Had mom sitting there eyeing me and basically negating everything I was saying. I now have to take a bunch of personality and IQ tests to make sure I'm "sane". I'm scared. What should I do?

I know I know it gets a little old talking about boobs but I just wanted to share something. My aereolas are getting wider and lighter in color. I don't have the cone type nipples. I am getting ready to start HRT. I want to get the facial feminization and breast augmentation done as soon as possible. I know for a few months my nipples will be sore due to my breasts growing. I know I have to be on HRT for a year and living the role for a year in order to have gender reassignment surgery. I would like to get the other surgeries done over the summer... Is that too soon or impossible? Thanks for any help you can provide...

Hey everyone. I am currently making adjustments to move from New York to North Carolina. My issue is that I have been on hormones for three months. I get them through a health clinic called Callen Lorde. They check my blood and everything. I know that in other states you have to go through all this therapy nonsense to get a prescription for hormones. Am I going to have a problem in North Carolina with getting hormones? Are there any LGBT friendly clinics that assist smoothly with hormone prescriptions? Transition is so very important for me. I cannot get held up by some therapist's approval.
