Hello Friends, My wife Ann of 3 years is a MTF Pre-Op TS, we dated for 3 years prior to that. Ann has lived as a girl then as a woman since she was 13 she is now 24. I have been with Ann thru all of her surgeries and has just gone thru vocal feminization surgery. It has been 3 weeks already and it has been very rough on her and, I hate to say it, myself. I hate to sound hard headed or selfish but I loved her slghtly gruffy voice from before. I know she wants to be complete and I do support her... It's just wierd and I am sad... To know somebody as your only love then bam! She's like a different person, a stranger to me. I know it's going to get better but 2 weeks…

Hi all. Had an incident happen at work that at first ticked me off, but then made me very thankful that I work at a place that values the work I do. Had a co-worker start calling me 'it,' to a few people. A couple people that heard it, went to my boss and told him. Well, this co-worker got written up and was told, one more time, and he gets his walking papers. All I can say is...'yep', my hard work and honesty is starting to pay dividends! Hope everyone is staying cool!

I was listening to Laura Ingram's radio show yesterday and her lackies brought an article about the Opra network airing the Documentry about Chaz Bonno and His journey through transition and I was Highly disturbed with her remarks and backhanded slirs , I wonder how many others heard her show yesterday and what they thought about what she had said .

I haven't been as active in posting as I have in the past. Over the past few weeks I have felt in somewhat of a limbo state. I really don't know what to do or where to turn. I guess the best thing to do is wait and see what happens. I sense that there may be a major change in my life as yet I haven't figured out what it is. I went through this a few years back and here was a major shift in my life. This may be another one of those times.

I am 58 and I've been taking herbal estrogen and perscription estrogen for about 11 months now and I am so very pleased with my tender, sensitive, and growing breasts. I feel like they are something that should have been there a long time ago. I am now at that stage where I have to be careful about which shirt I wear because the nipples are always showing on my nice summer shirts. I should stop now and be happy with them as they are, but I seem to be driven by something I have no control over. The thought of being more womanly is like a drug. I could stop eating before I stop becoming what I need to become. Nobody knows and there is nobody I can talk to, but at this…

Hi Girls! This is my first time on this site. I've been wanting to share something with the transgender community that I have developed to address a restroom issue. In Minnesota, I'am allowed to use the restroom of the gender I present as. The problem is when doing so it takes some time and struggle to get ready to relieve myself. (urinary) Then all has to be put back into place, sometimes with long fingernails breaking off or parts getting pinched and scratched. I came up with a device that uses an external adhesive male catheter, a tight fitting pair of panties, (gaff) and a plastic tubing connector incorporated into a styrene plate. The plate is sewn into the crotch …

Happy New Year, east coasters! Well, in about 15 minutes anyway. Tonight I am doing lots of shaving, maybe I'll try this face mask stuff my friend recommended, me and my wife will probably do each other's nails... and I'm not wearing any guy clothes. It's a symbolic little ritual for me as I pass into the new year, leaving baggage behind! And my one resolution really (that stuff I mentioned on the other thread was just serendipitous timing) besides "live another year" (thanks Kristi ) is that I'm not going to switch out to guy clothes until the first day of the new year has passed. If that means I have to pull out my androgynous girls' stuff to go out.. then that's wh…

I was going to search for a previous topic, but apparently all the words are too short So.. my apologies if a thread has already been started on the topic Anyway, has anyone read this book? I heard about it earlier, and finally got a copy today on a separate recommendation from a friend. It's been really interesting reading so far. The full title is: Self-Made Man: One Woman's Year Disguised as a Man, by Norah Vincent

I don't know if the title conveys this all that well, it was just the best I could think of. Does the impossible trigger your depression, or just get you down? I'm talking about more than desire. I'm talking extreme despair. For example I don't want to have to have a sex change. I want a uterus, Fallopian tubes, ovaries, menstruation. You get the idea. The things that a cis woman would have. The closest I can come is GCS. I can have a vagina, but that is where it ends. A lot of the time I talk about going back to being "him". Letting my beard grow, stopping HRT, and just giving up. It's triggering to the point that I'm about to.... I don't want to use the S word, but I kn…

I am 6 ft and at 160 pounds. I was just wondering your folks sizes before you transitioned. Am I just to big to transition if it is what my heart desires. I ask because I do have a thin, muscular build. Thank you so much for your input. Bye Bye ^_^

attention everyone.....i got something i got to tell you that happen to me around 5pm PST at a place called the Reno Sparks Rescue Mission here in Reno Nevada. So the last 3 days since I have been staying here at the Women's Shelter, us ladies have been going to the RSRM for breakfast and dinner. Well all was fine up until today at 5pm PST when this arse opened the door and told me right in front of the women that I was not allowed to come there to eat anymore and didnt give me a reason. You can imagine how infuriated I was. Here's is what confused me....there is two other transgender gals that have no problem going there and eating but yet i was targeted. Another thi…

I run an online business in my female name. However, my legal name is still my male name (I'm undecided about changing it at this time). I'm about to hire someone who will work for me over the internet; I may never meet him in person. But my legal name will need to be on the contract he signs (I am a sole proprietor, not incorporated at this time). So, I will be presenting him with a contract that has my male name on it. Any suggestions on what to do about this? Should I just be honest but nonchalant about it, like "Here's the contract, please sign it, btw <malename> is my legal name" or what?

Hi there! I finally decided to come out of hiding lol I've read many things here and found that I related to a lot of it. Well I guess I should say a little about myself. I've known for a long time that I should be female but was forced to act like my physical body's sex or at least try. I just don't know what to do about it. I can't tell anyone that's in my life about it. I could never tell my parents because they would never understand and I have no friends. I have a brother but we've been enemies for years. There have been many problems in my life and all those problems have been inside me. All the time, silently I had to deal with the torment inside while on the …

It's probably the most common and challenging questions we ask ourselves. I know I do, over and over. Recounting all those past feelings, thoughts, and experiences to answer yet again, yes. I must be. I've had it confirmed by my mental health therapist, gender therapist, and so many other lay people. I recently came across this well-written post that I need to tattoo into my consciousness: from Natalie Reed, The Null HypotheCis Here's another post from her that came after the Null Hypothesis, and is equally excellent: How Do I Know If I’m Trans? The bottom line(s): - There are no "binaries" or certainties in transgender any more than there are for cisgender; - Most…

I've been looking around the forum for the last few days, and I've decided to join up! I'm in my late teens, and I guess my story is similar to a lot of others: I remember I was four years old when I told a woman at daycare that I was a girl, I got along well with other girls in my childhood and was basically happy until (drum roll please!) I hit puberty. On the upside I could open pickle jars really easily but the rest of it - the unwanted physical changes, being one of the "weird" kids, thinking I was gay because I didn't date anyone - all that I would have gladly avoided, I have a male body but have always felt like a girl, so I guess that's why I'm here. I don…

Several months ago, I was asked to be a gues speaker to a primarily Gay group that lives at a Senior citizen facility. I accepted the invitation without question . First, I see these people in several situations outside of the center all the time . second , I want to help bridge shall we say, some of the "Fear " some gays have of us . I'm also tired of the portrayal some of the media has of us too. It was decided to have a Panel dicussion and to have a question and answer session on being Transgnder . Also , I'm to find out what prospective Tennants might wish to have avalible to them in a semi assisted living enviorment . This is a sincere question being asked by t…

Brad Glemser | June 18 2013 4:19 AM ET "I was flying through Miami, and after I went through a body scanner, the TSA officer wanted to pat down my chest. While doing so he felt my chest binder, which I wore every day and which the scanner had consistently detected under my clothes and flagged as an "anomaly." I told him it was a back brace. Calling it a "binder" — something used specifically by transgender men — had often prompted extra thorough pat-downs by airport security. Calling it a back brace meant that I didn’t have to disclose my transgender identity to TSA officers and to other travelers standing nearby." --advocate.com Flying While Trans - Commentary …

Hello, I go by the name, Melody. I am 43yo, confused GID with a wife and 3 kids. When I was about 6 I wore my sister's dress, and loved it. At, 10 I would wear my mother's dresses. By 12, puberty began. I started to notice changes to my body which I did not understand. I thought that my penis was wearing away, and that my vagina would be exposed. I also thought I was growing breasts. I was both excited, and fearful with what everyone would think. I use to feel around for where my vagina was suppose to be. Throughout my teen years, I secretly crossdressed. Then, in my last year of HS, bought my own women's pants and shirt. I actually went to the ma…

Navigating the social mores of the public restroom when you're not cisgender can be a tricky dance, practiced multiple times a day. BY Riki Wilchins, February 07 2013 5:00 AM ET "Yes, I know there's an app for that, which will enable your iPhone to locate the nearest gender neutral restroom. And if you you live in downtown Seattle or go to school at UC Berkeley, it probably works great. I usually find the nearest one is at least two time zones away." --advocate.com Op-ed: 'It's The Women's Room!' And Other Bathroom Complications
