Well, after 9 years of my Mom never wanting to see me, i will be meeting up with her this coming thursday. And I am not looking forward to it. My Mom can't even talk to me about the changes in my life over the phone without breaking down and looking to change the subject. And now she wants to meet. And, it will either be a very good thing, or a complete disaster. Will be glad to get it over with.

  2. I'm really lost and I thought some of the men and those who were saddled with a female upbringing much to their distress might be able to help me understand. There's a lot of pronoun switching when I'm describing the man I care so much about but it's not meant to be disrespectful it's just how messed up I am. I have a very good friend and i asked "her" out 3 years ago and zie was the only person out of 3 people I asked out to really respect dating in earnest. Something was missing but even after he broke it off we still hung out every friday most days with "her" staying over on the loveseat. I didn't really have feelings for them but my sister was convinced I was in lo…

Ok. I am going to put myself out here. I have been on all the transgender dating sites. I have always been looking for a transwoman that has a faith in God. I find once I mention my faith, all bets are off. I am an old fart so this isn't about a sexual relationship, it's about finding someone to spend my life with. Someone to fall asleep with, to come home to...that kind of thing. I hate going to these trans dating sites and seeing all the porn crap. Do any of you know of good dating sites? A place to find companionship. I have been on my own for many years.....ready for a change.

Hi all, I just had my initial orientation for Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). I'm very curious about the emotional / mental aspects of it. With a bit of luck I'll be starting HRT in 2 - 3 weeks from now. I'm super excited but also nervous. Can anyone tell me how they felt when they started HRT? Nervous to start it? How did the hormones make you feel? What were the changes you noticed? I was so happy during the informed consent process that I didn't know to laugh or cry. So I did both.

I was randomly browsing around hotornot.com and I saw this picture: http://www.hotornot.com/r/?eid=GSHZBSA&amp...=MCM&sid=EM Is that an Adam's apple I see?! I didn't know GGs (I'm assuming she's GG, I could be wrong) could have such prominent adams apples. Her picture was rated 9.7 though.

So I am in my basement goofing off on my skateboard and I get a call from my friend. I pick up and I gently say, "Hello". He responds and says, "Um yes may I speak to so and so". I told his it was me. He was surprised. I asked him if he recognized me. He said I sounded like a woman. lol. He thought it was my mom or something. Has anyone here ever had an experience like this before? And has anybody actually went in for voice training before? I thought that the whole experience was both rewarding and flattering. :)

While I realize that for many here androgyny is nothing more than a necessary evil - an uncomfortable, inconvenient and awkward stage that one must simply endure as part of the process of transition. However, some of us actually identify as androgynes, third gender, non-gendered or twin spirit people (I personally identify as both androgyne and transwoman). At any rate, I happened across this site called Genderfork, which, according to the site admin, "...explores androgyny and gender variance through artistic photography." I understand that this is probably not everyone's cup of tea, but hopefully some will find it as interesting and enjoyable as I have. http://w…

Anybody have fun Halloween plans? I'm going out with a group of friends. I'll be The Joker from Dark Knight. I will be applying theatrical makeup and latex scars and I have the costume all ready to go. It should be a fun party.

I was interviewed today by a journalsm student from Columbia University. He questioned me about the LGBTQI minstry here at church. I shaed with him what I would lke for the ministry to achieve. I shared about my own personal journey. He was very interested in the church as well as the ministry.

  10. Nov 30, 3:51 PM (ET) By MALCOLM RITTER The headline is misleading. The study demonstrates that gender differences are present in all brains, just not enough to justify proclaiming male superiority. NEW YORK (AP) — Are the brains of men and women truly different? Not if you look at the overall structure, a new study says. While specific parts show sex differences, an individual brain only rarely has all "male" traits or all "female" traits, researchers report. It's more likely to be a mixed bag: some things are more common in women, some more common in men, and some are common in both. http://apnews.myway.com/article/20151130/us-sci--brain_gender-4f073bcdb0.html

What the hell is it with forums in our community? They are all so damn clicky that anyone who comes in and posts a slightly different opinion (which I thought was the point) is automatically denied from becoming part of the "good ol boys club" and the forum turns on them. And regular members decide they're the mods and police the board taking the job away from the mods. I've been posting on another forum, but it's becoming painfully clear that I'm a worthless *expletives deleted* because I'm not a clone of everyone else there. There's a regular there that can't take criticism. When told to get off his high horse and drop his holier-than-thou attitude he loses it. Then he …

We have many teddy bears and other stuffed animals. Until the last couple years, they usually stayed in the same places and I only occasionally picked any of them up. As my transsexual awareness and desires have intensified in the last couple years, I have become increasingly attached to my teddy bears and other stuffed animals. Maybe this is related to latent maternal instincts and needs or perhaps I am going through another childhood, anyway, I am quite attached to my teddy bears and other stuffed animals. I enjoy, as I never did before, holding and cuddling them. I also like having one of our stuffied animals often sleeping in bed with my wife and I.

I got pulled over this weekend. I had blown a "No turn on red" sign. So Im digging around in my glove box when the cop comes up to the window. I hand him this crumpled packet of insurance cards/registrations i have been building over the years, and then i hand him my ID. He said, "Miss, can you just give me what i need out of here," indicating the packet of fun. So i dig through it and notice my insurance card is out of date and the real one was somewhere in my car. My registration was just renewed recently and the new card hadn't arrived yet. So I explain this to him and start digging around my glove box for the Insurance card. It wasn't there so I told him that …

I don't remember much other than taking the dog for a walk and three guys approaching me in the hallway. I'm OK. Just a few bruises. The three dudes got hauled off to the hospital. The EMT's wanted to take me to the hospital also and my dog was running all over the place. The police asked me if I wanted to press charges. I just wanted my dog back and go home. I called the dog and he came. So we went home. But now I'm worried. One of the attackers is in critical condition and now I might get charged for protecting myself. But out of four people, I was the last one they bothered with. I'm very stiff and sore and my head hurts. The police seem to be on my side though, which …

  18. We know I'm a woman. Very few other people know that; I first came out to myself, then my wife of 39 years and my daughter. After them, I explained to my older grandchildren that "sometimes a boy's brain gets born in a girl's body, sometimes a girl's brain get's born in a boy's body. That's what happened to me." Those events were all many, many months ago. Most recently I came out to my mother and to our closest family friend, something I'd been certain I'd not do. Another thing I've always known about myself that society does not understand and cannot accept is that I'm an empath. Get this straight, I'm nothing like Troi or other empathic characters in television, fil…

  20. One of the biggest concerns we have prior to transition is passability-- whether or not we'll be able to function in society as a person of the sex opposite our birth. As someone who jumped the fence a decade ago, I have some thoughts on this. I've got this lifelong habit of throwing things into a wastebasket from across a room. 99% of the time I don't miss. There's a certain mechanism at play here-- you fling the wad of paper or empty can with the prior expectation that it will land precisely where you want it to go. I call the phenomenon "willing it into the basket." And that's how I go about my life as a rather large woman. I'm at ease in my skin, never get "fl…

November and December are traditionally active months for me. While there are activities to attend, it also a time of reflection. This year is different because of the changes that have happened to me personally. I will be marching in the Veterans Day parade on November 11th. It will be my third time doing so. It's important that transgender veterans are honored and remembered for their service. This year the group may have a float. November 20th will be the Transgender Day of Remembrance. I make it a point to attend because it's important that we encourage and support one another. I am considering speaking at the event. I mentioned months earlier that I have transi…

  23. Regaining sense of community control Hello everybody! It's been a while since back logging on to tgguide community forums! I had two reasons for not logging on regular basis! Firstly I lost access to my tablet due to battery failure and I just bought it on new year's! Secondly I thought I was the only transgender person in mega city as I reside in! But after my 4 years of hardcore transitions on or off, I have found a exact replica of my cross dressers to transgender community meeting every Monday in my area of residence! I hope to promote my YouTube channel for all members of transgender community not only cross dressers! Few that's a big scope. Visit Shazy Jeo on Y…

Ok, this is apropos of probably nothing for anyone else, but I just had to post it before I burst... The other day I asked my wife if she'd pick me up some pink nail polish at the store while she was there. It's sort of funny because I figured going to the makeup section wouldn't be a big deal for her, but I think it made her as uncomfortable as it would me (in different ways). She's such a tomboy sometimes. I repaid her kindness with Paradise Bakery cookies though. I told her I didn't want to freak her out with it (she's still getting used to some things) so I said I'd just use it when she wasn't around and clean off my nails before she got home. But she has this …
