  1. While I use the phrase "a woman in a man's body" for myself, I find that, in reality, this is not entirely accurate, because I feel more like a middle-school-age girl (that's about 12-14, for those of you who live in other countries) in an adult male body. I have heard of others like us who feel this way; they blame it on never having gone through a proper puberty. Does anyone else here feel as I do? If this is a common thing (as I suspect it may be), does anyone have any info on the phenomenon?

As I have mentioned before, I transitioned on the same job I still work at today. Where I work nights the only people I am around are the security guards. It did take some time for them to get used to the change. Anyway, last night I was talking to one of the guards. At one point he asked if he could ask me a question. He asked,"Did you always know you needed to make the changes you made? I told him I knew from my first thoughts. He then asked, "Why did you not make the change sooner?" I told him until the year 2000,being from small town New England, I didn't know it was possible. We had a great talk. He asked very respectful questions and was very interested in b…

Hi everyone. Been a long time since I have posted. Been working hard at making my transition work. Writing because I am feeling overwhelmed. I have so many things I need to take care of to stay in good health, and can't find a way to make it all work. I am so tired of working a job where i consistently face discrimination, tired of dealing with the same in my neighborhood, and tired of not being able to come up with a constructive way out! I try my best to be a good, honest, hardworking person. Seems these days, that don't count for much. I dare say that prisoners in solitary confinement have more freedom than I do. Sorry, just needed to sound off.

Hello All, Before I ramble, being this is about some events the past few days, I'm wondering if this is an OK place to post, or is there a more appropriate area? I've taken a few steps, it's a start. I spoke with a gg friend on Friday and laid out my closeted situation that is starting to bubble up and push the door slightly open. She was amazingly sympathetic and loved the idea of me dressing for Halloween. I suspect she might even offer to help with clothing and make-up! She also spoke in-depth about writing a letter to my partner and letting him know where I'm at. She also mentioned several things to say / do to help get him aboard, or at least not start negative…

I am a male who has just started a relationship with a trans girl. Just for the sake of clarity: she is a genetic male who CD's now but is about to start on hormones and identifies as a female. I guess I have been what you would call an admirer for a long time now, but this will be my first real relationship other than a random Craigslist hookup or two! point being is that I would like for this relationship to be more, and to develop into something and I want to do my part. my plan is to treat her like a lady, but other than that I really have no idea of any other way to help her as she deals with transitioning. I was hoping that the community here could give me some …

Hi, I am currently working on a quantitative research study at California State University Los Angeles. The project's topic is transgender individuals and employment. The survey takes a few minutes to complete and it would be greatly appreciated it you were to complete it! I’m falling back into hopelessness when I think about transitioning. I can get electrolysis. I’m going under the needle Tuesday. But when I think about everything else, reality hits so hard I think I’m gonna puke. I’ll never be able to fully transition and get a female body. I could never afford it. I went for an analysis of my hairline and to bring it forward to refill my receding hairline, it would cost $14k. I don’t have that kind of money. And I never will. Then there’s things like breast augmentation, FFS, and a vaginoplasty. I’ll never be able to afford any of those procedures. I have a GoFundMe that has been up for a long time, and so far only $40 has been donated.…

Hi there, I have serious question to ask. It has two or three angles to the main question. After the straight person transitions to transgender or straight female to transgenderred or mix sex child to fully transgender person after surgery & so on etc. (Hermeditus). What does one involve their main part of activities on day to day basis? First of all as transgendered we change our dressing up for those of us in advanced stage of whether cross dressing to full gender living as true self? Secondly where do most trans gender hang out to assimilate themselves in public? What I am trying to understand is what is everyone's real physical favorite public places the most or t…

I attend an accepting church. My wife and I have become members as of yesterday. There were at least 3 gay couples and 5 or 6 lesbian couples. As far as I know I'm the only transgender person there. My wife and I feel comfortable and have made some friends. I may speak with the pastor about my being transgender. I can honestly say that I feel comfortable about doing this. I'm also sensitive to my wife's feelings. She accepting of my dressing up to a point. Recently, for the first time, she walked beside me on the street while I was dressed. As you can small advances have made. I would make my day when I attend service dressed up.

:) We can talk about my boobs or your boobs. I am not so large yet, but I am very proud. I went from a flat as a pancake bird chest to a good 36-B so far. When I ride my bicycle, I can feel them bounce about. I've taken up shadow dancing. Partly because I'm bored and partly because I can watch my boobs bouncing. So, tell me your boob stories. Does anyone have a good link about boobs? Informational, humoristic, etc. Remember, nothing too naughty. - Virginia - Do you think I'll get in trouble for this one? Cast your vote.

When I look back at all the decisions I've made in my 42 years on this planet I have rarely made any of them on my own behalf. Where I live, what I wear, how I act, where I work. All of these important things were always made to satisfy and fill the needs of other people. Now I have the most important decision in my life to make. The key words being my life. How much of life belongs to me and how much belongs to my wife and kids? I have had to deal with this longer than I've been married and been a dad and most of it alone. My wife has known for just over a year and a few friends too. My friends are lesbians and have been really supportive. My wife has been quiet and pass…

So my girl friend is mtf. I treat her like my girl friend but when we fight she tells me she's not a girl. I am not sure how to deal. I don't have anyone I can really talk to because she doesn't want to be part of the "culture". I really like her so how do I relate?

His cruel and hateful policies are going to put me back on the street, and Adrianne back with her parents. We won't be able to survive when he cuts out foodstamps and social security. If it wasn't for foodstamps, we wouldn't be able to eat. I couldn't drive my car anymore, because gas will be too damn expensive. Pardon my language. But we're not just leaving the country, we may be leaving the entire continent. We're thinking about Europe. I'm hoping for Scotland. If that's not possible, then I'm thinking Germany. Scot is the vast majority of my heritage, and German makes up the rest. So that's the reason for them being my preferred choices. Yeah like all white Americans, …

I was going to save this for therapy Friday but I figure what the heck.. I wonder if anyone else has had this problem. I like to sift through my brain one grain of sand at a time (that's what it's made of mostly, I think ) and try to tease out tangled messes of emotions, find causes of problems to confront them, and so on. Well, I found a really interesting (and kind of embarrassing, shameful) thing about myself that explains a whole lot: I have a prejudice against trans people. Which means I have a prejudice against myself...! This can't be good. Maybe this merits some extra explanation too, before anyone thinks I dislike them or something. Basically I understand…

A little shocked to see one of those KY sensation stuff commercials last evening featuring a gay female couple. I realize this isnt tg related, but i was still shocked. I also thought how cool that we've come this far that a sexual aid featuring a gay couple made it on mainstream tv. Nothing gay related on tv when i was younger. But, i did not appreciate ky commercials featuring anyone obviously using it for sex, being on at 6pm on regular tv. C'mon really ? Sitting with my 11 year old neice watching history channel? Did not appreciate that.

  21. Courtney O'Donnell, 09/04/2012 4:51pm "With incorrect, offensive, or downright transphobic phrases like "man in a dress," "male-to-female transsexual," "he calls himself Brandi," or, likely the most offensive of them all, "he-she," mainstream media simply cannot get it right. Sometimes it's deliberate, especially in tabloids and other media that use exploitation to generate revenue. In other instances ignorance prevails in the media by those who ought to know better." So, starting tomorrow, I am going to start doing christian life coaching, Not sure how the life coaching works. But i am hopeful that this will move my life forward. To help me be the man God wants me to be. And give my life direction. I am ready for a change.

Would like to point out that although many countrys issue a new birth certificate or a person is recognised in their new gender after GRS,In most parts of Europe and definatly the UK, this is not the case,So many people i kbnow who have had GRS in these areas keep saying they are finaly recognised as their new gender, this is wrong, you need apply for a GRC (Gender Recognition Certificate) Which also automaticly issues a birth certificate, all your rights to mariage, pensions and even death are not granted and despite the NHS treating you as your aquired gender and even updating your passport , the other departments will not,If you was born male, had GRS and die before obtain…
