  1. I came across this article yesterday and found it so interesting, especially the graphical representations of gender identity, the spectrums within them, and social norms. Very interesting and informative: The Biochemical Nature of Gender Identity For example, there's this graph: I'm certain that I'm on the femme side of the feminine stereotype but not to the hyperfemme extreme. But isn't it cool the way that the graph also illustrates the transgender umbrella? I've met cis men who just need to get their femme on from time to time. Many cis lesbian women present to the right of the stereotypical line, and they are adamant that butch lesbian women are not "…

  2. Hi. I don't know where to post this since I'm new here but here goes. Iv been wearing a bra for about three or four weeks now and it feels weird not wearing one now, like I'm exposed or something. It defiantly got me thinking, because I thought something was at lest somewhat screwy around senior year of high school (2/3 years ago). Since then Iv gone back and forth between non-binary, mtf, or just ... Idk. I tried estrogen but when my folks questioned me about it I got cold feet and stooped. I have always been interested in girls but have never wanted to be the "guy" in a relationship, it just feels weird. Iv even fantasized about being different female characters fr…

Here is an article worth reading. https://www.boredpanda.com/people-gender-transition-stories-twitter/?fbclid=IwAR0WQgS0yIW5K9HK2lKRZUEkVTB6I_3fgbCsWocXeGbR1dFT5SF5eMMjC40&utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=organic The things I love about life are those special, subtle reactions that say I'm worth it. I look for them; there are many!!! I try to ignore and distance myself from the negative.

  4. Started by taragem,

I'm wondering how you all feel about trans (MtF) athletes competing in sports events who haven't started medical transition? Though I sympathize with them, unless they've been on puberty blockers or HRT, testosterone will generally give them an advantage over their natal female peers, especially in upper-body strength, as we're seeing in competitions where socially transitioned MtF youths are consistently beating their natal counterparts.

So, I lifeguard in the evenings aside fro.from my full time job. Yesterday during a monthly training there were two other guards that kept referring to my in masculine pronouns... I told them politely that I greatly prefer female pronouns and they kept using he and his. BTW, I wear a WOMAN'S SWIMSUIT when working there. Is it too much to ask to not be misgendered in the workplace?

  6. Started by Raina,

My next appointment is now one week away, and I'm nervous. Its been three months since my last appointment and things have been going great, which makes me more nervous than ever. Now I know site rules on dosage info so I will do my best as that's concerned. But it dose make this harder to explain. In one week I will have been on HRT for nine months. I started on a typical low starting dose. After three months at my follow up appointment they doubled my dose of both anti-androgen and estradiol. At that point things began happening and I was so happy just to have some progress, even small. At my next appointment I told my doctor as much. After some general questi…

I’ve been here for about a year and a half now. I’ve met so many amazing people, and learned so much in that time. Many things I never would have thought of, much of which was need-to-know. And unlike other sites I’ve been to, it was offered with love and respect. I’ve seen a few conversations that could be considered controversial, but everyone kept it clean and the language appropriate. This site strives for a PG rating, and it has earned it. So I just wanted to thank everyone here for their help on my journey. And if I have helped even one person for 5 seconds, I want to say thank you for having given me that opportunity.

Been thinking about my past relationships as a man. Mostly sex... sorry if this is TMI. I find that it's not that interesting for me and just animalistic with all the thrusting etc. I've always thought the female side would be so much more enjoyable/relaxing while I'm just grossed out by it which then gets into my head and performance drops and nobody ends up having an enjoyable time (mostly for me after for a while). I'd always hoped therapy would help but can't seem to shake it as it's been a constant in my head since childhood that I'd like to be a woman. Is there any hope for those perhaps stuck in the wrong body/sex? I'm afraid of being now to old to transitio…

If you had the chance to move in with another CD/TV sister, would you do it? What would you consider before making the decision?

Adrianne and I are planning on taking several trips as my MD is getting worse, before I'm completely unable to travel. One place I want to go is Key West. And it's not for the sun and beach. I want to meet Robert. I've wanted to meet him for a very long time. But since we'll be there for several days, and I don't plan on sleeping at the museum, I was wondering if anyone knew of any transgender friendly places there. Or anything else that would be worth checking out. We're thinking of going this summer. Hopefully. Other places on the list are Chicago, Washington DC, San Diego Zoo, Tijuana Mexico, Bradford PA (Zippo Factory), Wyoming (Bear Tower), Monroe CT (Annabelle)…

I came across this article and I thought it was a good read. I thought it explained just that...How to be Human. This is very frustrating and this message needs to get across to the rest of society and the discussion needs to be constant and ongoing, in it's proper terms...Human! Living authentic for almost a year now and choosing be very visible and public, I've posted it on my social media because quite frankly, I'm getting tired of correcting people, and teaching them manners.🤨 Additionally, at the end of the article, there are also links to several procedures which I would have found helpful when I began my transition. https://www.healthline.com/health/…

I can’t believe I actually did this. My wife and I decided to go to the mall tonight. Nothing out of the ordinary. It’s a relatively small mall. We had been there a couple hours, hit a few stores, and were at the last store we wanted to go to which as a jewelry store. I always like looking at their watches. I’m a Citizen snob. Anyway, we were in there and I reached up to scratch my jaw, and that’s when I noticed it. I hadn’t shaved for probably 3 days. I was instantly mortified. Adrianne hadn’t noticed, because typically, if I’m not going out on any given day, I’m too lazy to shave. So it’s nothing unusual for her. But when I realized it and asked her, she told me it was …

This has been a curiosity of mine for years, so I'm going to throw it out there: trans people when you dream are you male, female or neither in your dreams? After my GRS I would sometimes dream that I still had my old bits. Needless to say, this would cause some consternation! It went on for years (I'm 17 years post-op), though they have faded (thankfully!) and now I'm either not aware of my gender in my dreams or I'm female. What are your experiences? All the best!

  17. Started by Blackangel,

My mind tends to wander. A lot. One thought in particular went through the empty space this morning as I was on my way to the vet. For my rat, not me. If someone who matters to me was to ask, about sexual orientation, I have no idea how to honestly answer that question. I’m bisexual, but for the sake of argument let’s say I’m not. Seeing as I’m a woman, and have always been attracted to women, does that mean I’m a lesbian? Or does genetics rule this one and I’m still straight? The same goes for the men. If you guys are attracted to men does that mean you’re gay, or is genetics on top here too? Now flip it and ask the same question. On one hand the answer …

I was reading posts on Reddit and came across this response: "So, the actual definition of biological sex is by the type of gametes you produce for your species, not by chromosomes. So there are at most 4 biological sexes: produce smaller gametes (male) produce larger gametes (female) produce both gametes (hermaphroditic) produce no gametes (nonsexual) This is the definition of sex across all sexual species, which is why there are things like "male seahorses give birth" (they have the smaller gametes; the larger gametes are injected into them by the female, who could be said to …

Ok, she's not a biological relative, but she's the friend I've talked about that has gone past friend and is now family. She has Lupus Nephritis, which is doing severe damage to her kidneys. In the event she needs a transplant I'm getting tested in the hopes that I'm a match so I can give her one of mine. What I'm asking from everyone here is to send good thoughts her way, and if you believe in a deity to please keep her in your prayers. All good thoughts and prayers can't hurt anything, and could possibly help. I'm not asking for anything more than that. Her name is Mary. Also to the staff, I couldn't figure out where this post belonged, so I just went w…

Okay so I am familiar with this and have done my homework on the subject, however since my breast started "budding" I haven't used a vacuum device. I was considering using it again the other day. But couldn't find any information on using this sort of device while breast are developing. From my understanding the two main benefits are it increases blood flow and engorges the tissue stretching it. Bolth of which should in principle only accelerate development. However since I couldn't find any information on the subject I thought it might be a good idea to ask the question. Does anyone here have any experience with this? Or any informed thoughts on the subject?

  21. I may be the only one, but does anyone else have that rare occurrence where being misgendered isn’t really a big deal? I got rid of a TV earlier and the guy called me “sir”. I haven’t shaved today, and knew I wasn’t going to see him again, so I didn’t see a reason to get into it. I wasn’t particularly dressed one way or the other. He was here for all of 10 minutes so there wasn’t a reason to press the issue. Does anyone else ever have that rare occurrence where you really don’t care? Or am I missing something important?

It’s been a bit since I was on here. Of late my meds were ruined and I’m playing hell getting them filled again before the end of October. I’ve begun wearing a bra daily. I’ve heard it helps with shaping them. Not sure I can believe that but what the hell i do love wearing them. I hope my doc can help get my meds. It’s been horrible not having them. My addiction to becoming female is overwhelming and has brought me to tears because I can feel ["him"] trying to move back into me. Any advice from anyone on how to handle it would be nice. Love you girls. Cynthia

  23. Started by Blackangel,

I was sitting here thinking just now. I got a text a couple weeks ago from someone that I cut out of my life several years ago. They asked if this was "Jared or Jennifer". How they found out my name since I changed it several years ago, I don't know. I'm not going to give my last name, but my first and middle were Jared Anderson. I always liked the names. But he is dead. And sitting here thinking about it, I realized that once in a rare while I kinda miss the names. Not often mind you. Heck, it never even pops in my mind much anymore. I don't miss anything else, just the names. Is that weird? Is it just me, or does anyone else feel the same way from time to time? If …
