I found this yesterday on Medium and greatly appreciated such a thorough guide to what is known about transgender, those who argue with our validity, and sensitive and constructive advice for supporting children experiencing gender dysphoria or incongruence. "[This piece] is intended to be a step-by-step guide for anyone interested, one that fills in all the holes, reads between the lines, and unpacks the many assumptions that riddle the typical op-ed or think-piece about transgender children." "I will also provide necessary background regarding gender transition in adults before addressing the more controversial topic of transgender children." Detransition, Desistance, a…

I hope that everyone here has somewhere to go or have people over during this holiday and the upcoming holidays as many of us know from others or first hand that these times can be dark and depressing. I will be spending time with my best friend’s family for Thanksgiving, which is an annual thing since 2007. If at all possible please make an attempt to be with people.

Hello everyone, I'm writing this with a lot of shame, but I'm hoping to find some guidance or just to feel less alone. I'm a 30-year-old man who has been trapped in my own mind for far too long. A big part of my story is isolation and a struggle with self-care. For about 15 years, I've lived in isolation, with no real-life friends, no job, and a deep-seated fear of social situations. This has taken a toll on my body as well. I'm struggling with my relationship with food—I don't know if it's the medication (Sertraline) or the depression itself—and I've gained a significant amount of weight. For context, I weigh about 125 kg (275 lbs) and I'm 1.73 m tall (5'8"). M…

A group of transgender Malaysian activists had pressured for the removal of the dress codes in the country in an effort to push freedom of exp ression.' Read Article

Ok. I am going to put myself out here. I have been on all the transgender dating sites. I have always been looking for a transwoman that has a faith in God. I find once I mention my faith, all bets are off. I am an old fart so this isn't about a sexual relationship, it's about finding someone to spend my life with. Someone to fall asleep with, to come home to...that kind of thing. I hate going to these trans dating sites and seeing all the porn crap. Do any of you know of good dating sites? A place to find companionship. I have been on my own for many years.....ready for a change.

In those quiet moments, thoughts of where my journey has taken me fill my mind. I'm different and yet I didn't feel any earthshaking experience. This has been the way my journey has gone. I find these quiet moments rather refreshing. I've always been a quiet and reflective individual. Quiet spaces for me is nirvana. An empty church, park, among nature. These thoughts are clearest when I wake up in the morning. This has happening with more frequency. From time to time I wonder if my being transgender was the fulfillment of a Native American prophecy. There are those times I wish that I could travel by foot across the land. As a child I was fascinated by country roads…

I'm a member of an Automobile forum . The name is nick named , "The H. A. M. B. One of my very favorite threads I follow is a line called , Vintage shots of days gone by. . Most of the times , everyone is very respectful of what the subject matter is . This time though, the snide remarks have surfaced and it's quite bothersome as most police each other to keep such things from occuring : http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=428585&page=2903 This is the picture in question. I've not made a comment either way .

This Sunday, July 26th, I will celebrate my tenth anniversary of introducing Gennee to the world. I've gone from a cross dresser to transgenderist to transgender woman. Each year has brought successes. I overcame my fear of using the ladies restroom. I traveled out of town as Gennee with no repercussions. One big plus is I've received numerous compliments on the pink hat that I wear. I am part of a transgender women group with whom I have made friends. I am very happy and joyful and look forward to each day that I have.

I have just published my latest blog https://daniellaargento.wordpress.com/2015/04/10/unity-and-diversity-not-mutually-exclusive/ In which I discuss this excellent article http://mg.co.za/article/2015-04-10-00-i-am-genderqueer-comfortable-with-my-identity-at-last Which shows so nicely that the different parts of the broader trans* community really do have more in common than some may think. We really thus have so much more to gain if we act in concert...

What it really means to go from man to woman NEWS.com.au As 65-year-old transsexual Josie Emery put it: "I'm not interested in being transgender, I'm interested in being a woman." This seems an obvious thing to those of us who will never know how it feels to be completely not at home in our bodies...

I washed my Wig's for first time in 3 years ! Yes I did it! I am going full soapy, extra shampoo, with hot water, etc, to wash them all one by one!!! It's now a ritual to cherish the Wig's as I did loose one kit mind you(a wig, make up kit from MAC, some clothes, high heels, probably misc items ) that day but not my mobile device thank God! I do have my video on my YouTube channel & here is the link (updating soon ) to that horrific day as I had to make a complaint to manager to get the security footage. When you showar as yourself, its a different feeling with hair on, but taking off a wig, is similarities with shaving a beard in my culture, and its considered very …

Today was the worst day in my life and here's why.... i had posted a cute gothic picture of me dress in my female attire and was really happy about it and my mother...well former mother now..decided to say in reply to the picture "oh i dont like this of you...your my son...love you" boy was i mad at her reply. so i asked her why she cant accept me(i asked her in private facebook messenger fashion of course) and her reply was...and i quote.... "your my G... D.... son and that is what your born as. i will never accept you as a female because that is not what you are. if i would had raised you, you wouldn't had become like that. your adoptive parents turned you into…

I always thought being fully transitioned was a physical thing. In the work I have done with my life coach this past year, I have come to realize it is so much more a mental thing. With the work I have done, it no longer bothers me that I have family that still wants to use wrong pronouns. I have come to realize that is their problem, not mine. I will even be spending Christmas with them . And if they can look at my hairy face and still call me a she...they are not too bright.

I found this article and it was really enlightening to something I hadn't really thought about before. We all talk about our issues here, but now that I think about it, I can't think of any talk from or about being nonbinary here. If there is anyone who is, and struggles with this, this article could help. If not, it could still help the rest of us.

I am early in my transition and have a question about growing my hair out. It is getting to the point where it is not long enough to do anything with but long enough to look scruffy. Is there something I can use on it to keep it less messy while it grows out.
