Last night I spent some time with my nephew who is 13yrs old and we had a blast hanging out. We had the usuallypoking at each other as always and thats when I brought up about me being transgender to him. So asked him how does he feel about me being his aunt instead of his uncle and he told me he wasn't bothered by it and that he loves me no matter what. I was so proud that he is so accepting of me like my other nephew who is now 18 and graduated from high school. Then my two neices also know and they don't care. Well my 15 year old niece gets it but my younger niece who is 10 years old is not all quite there in grasping things as far as me being transgender. But that doe…

This past Sunday my wife and I went to visit a friend who was in the hospital. As we walked to the security desk I saw that we needed to show our IDs. I don't have a picture of me as Gennee. I wondered how this would turn out? I presented my ID with my male picture. The guard looked at me for a moment, sowewhat startled. He gave us passes and let's us proceed. We had to sign again when we reached my friend's ward. The lady who signed me in didn't take a moment's notice. She just let me pass. Quite a day. Gennee is making her presence felt. My friend is doing much better.

Last night I went to a PROM!! Never did that in high school. The LGBTQI ministry at church sponsored it. There were people of all ages and genders dancing and I wore log and having a great time. My spouse and I wore long dresses which draw many compliments. Haven't danced that much in years-and in my heels!! I'll post from pictures when I get them. :D

In 1966 we were married in a traditional ceremony that my dad conducted as pastor of our church. In our vows we promised "to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part." -huffingtonpost.com Marriage: It's About Love and Commitment (A Transgender Perspective)

Hi Everyone, I started my HRT last month. I did one dose with an injection. Although my Doctor said the pellets are much more efficient and less side effects. I am considering taking his advice and use pellets instead. Does anyone has used pellets for HRT? Is there any risk of infection or contamination such HIV or Hepatitis? What should I look at? What should I do? thank you everyone! Andrea

Just heard a song from the past that reminds me how far we have come and how far we need to go. The song is George Thorogood, Bad to the bone. I remember back in 1990, I was dealing with a therapist that would not hear of my gender issues. I got so mad that I drove my car under her window, blasted this song and started dancing on my car. Yea, I ended up in a padded cell. But I look back on that and see that as my defining moment. The moment I said to the world....here I am. Just wondering, what was your defining moment?

Dear Jo jo, I sincerely hope you are well. I and many others in this forum have been concerned about you. As far as I know, you have not written any posts in awhile. You know how we are similar in certain ways, especially in wanting to be a female, making some efforts to live as a female, yet feeling a need to maintain existing marriages, thereby compromising some of our strongest inner needs. Jo jo, I hope again you are well. Best wishes. Koreen

While I realize that for many here androgyny is nothing more than a necessary evil - an uncomfortable, inconvenient and awkward stage that one must simply endure as part of the process of transition. However, some of us actually identify as androgynes, third gender, non-gendered or twin spirit people (I personally identify as both androgyne and transwoman). At any rate, I happened across this site called Genderfork, which, according to the site admin, "...explores androgyny and gender variance through artistic photography." I understand that this is probably not everyone's cup of tea, but hopefully some will find it as interesting and enjoyable as I have. http://w…

  17. Nov 30, 3:51 PM (ET) By MALCOLM RITTER The headline is misleading. The study demonstrates that gender differences are present in all brains, just not enough to justify proclaiming male superiority. NEW YORK (AP) — Are the brains of men and women truly different? Not if you look at the overall structure, a new study says. While specific parts show sex differences, an individual brain only rarely has all "male" traits or all "female" traits, researchers report. It's more likely to be a mixed bag: some things are more common in women, some more common in men, and some are common in both. http://apnews.myway.com/article/20151130/us-sci--brain_gender-4f073bcdb0.html

  20. Regaining sense of community control Hello everybody! It's been a while since back logging on to tgguide community forums! I had two reasons for not logging on regular basis! Firstly I lost access to my tablet due to battery failure and I just bought it on new year's! Secondly I thought I was the only transgender person in mega city as I reside in! But after my 4 years of hardcore transitions on or off, I have found a exact replica of my cross dressers to transgender community meeting every Monday in my area of residence! I hope to promote my YouTube channel for all members of transgender community not only cross dressers! Few that's a big scope. Visit Shazy Jeo on Y…

  22. Hello, I'm a transsexual woman, I live in France near Paris. I'm a teacher and I've got a problem. My voice is androgynous (between male and female) and I think about voice surgery. My apparence is good, except I'm tall (1m84 which represents 6 feet) and my voice not that good. I'm 29 years old and I take hormones since 3 years. My ortophonist (the person which teach me to improve my voice) told me that there were a good technique in corea, so I'm thinking about it, and I would like to talk with people who had done this surgery. Excuse me for my english, thanks in advance, Tatiana
