if you could turn back the clock say ten years or so but, you can't change who you are just what you do what, if anything would you do different? me, i'd admit to myself who i am. i guess my biggest mistakes have all evolved from trying to not to be me. trying so hard to be a guy then has really made it so much harder now for me to be me. not just on the outside but inside. not to mention just day to day things like career choices that could have made things a lot easyier. i'm currently in a very male dominated industry that's frankly not accepting to me or others like me. soon i'll have to get into something else in order to fully "come out" and that's hard for "norm…

How do you do it? I'm in my early 20's and I'm trying to figure myself out. I recently posted on the "I'm I or Ain't I" thread a list of reasons why I think I could be TG. It's a constant battle for me trying to decide. I have to say that so far you have all been very supportive and helpful And yet, no matter how much I decide to investigate or research, there's this part of me that is constantly telling me "It's not real." It's like sometimes I feel like I want to be a girl and sometimes I don't and it's really confusing. I've become very stable and successful as a guy. Some of it feels like an act and some of it doesn't and I don't know how that affects all t…

Hello Everyone, I am slowly moving through some external transitioning and I do not honestly know where I will end up. But As I change on the outside it is recorded in pictures. I like myself a lot better as I look now moving more from FTM. Lately I have been reacting in my head to older pictures of me that are much more female and I am having a hard time. I was wondering how people felt about old pictures of themselves before beginning to transition. Do you keep pictures? Did you burn them? Do you wipe out the fact that was you? Or have you found some way to keep your past? My gut wants to wipe it out. People I know from before can’t bear that I would wipe out…

So how have all of you been? I told you all that I would post when my episode of "Sex Change Hospital" was going to air, but I don't know how many of you can view it in the U.S.- It is only airing in the U.K. right now, but there is a international presence on this board at times, so you never know... It is airing Wednesday, June 20th, 2007, at 10pm U.K. time on More4, the documentary channel for the U.K.'s Channel 4.... It WILL play in the U.S. sometime soon- here is a link, and yes, the camera does add 15 pounds! "Sex Change Hospital" Episode 4 AND, now I am living in Los Angeles- after surgery, it seemed like I was living in someone else's apartment, and wor…

For most of my life as a transgendered person I have definitely preferred wearing dresses or blouses with skirts. I wanted to dress as feminine as possible and I usually felt more sensual, as well as more sexy, when wearing a dress or short skirt than when wearing feminine pants. This may have also been partly a reaction against perceiving, as a male, I was supposed to wear pants, not dresses, blouses and skirts. In the last couple years, as my transsexual desires and consciousness have become more intense than ever before, I find I can feel almost as feminine wearing a blouse or feminine sweater with feminine pants as when wearing a dress or blouse with skirt. …

Hi all, here I am with another query. Reading many posts concerning tg people getting the hormone therapy that they desired, I read many times about the joy and peace felt after the hormones are taken. That the hormones in their blood made them feel whole again. Even a few ladies saying that it was euphoric. I am wondering if this is true for both mtf and ftm, and could it be that a non tg person would also feel something similar if they were introduced to estrogen or testosterone and were the opposite sex. If I took testosterone, for instance, might I feel energized, or powerful? And if a gm takes estrogen, would it make him mellow? Peaceful? Interesting to me. …

Been thinking about this a lot recently, and I think I need some pointers in the right direction, or maybe a kick up the bum... How does someone act female / feminine I was just wanting everyone's take on this, and then me and other people that are considering transition will have a guide on how to act. I maybe looking to far in to this (which I normally do), but if there is anyone out there that has gone through transition and now act's differently, or if you haven't gone through transition but have some thing to say on the subject, please put it down on this thread Thanks Lee

I read many posts relating to Gender Identity Disorder. And all of a sudden when I was reading a post today containing GID, i wondered, isn't it rather insulting that this is called a 'disorder'? When I hear the word disorder it conjures up things like 'bi-polar', or "panic disorder', or something like that. I think I may bum out if I was considered a disorder. Or maybe it just means that something went wrong somewhere and you are different. But different isnt a disorder, I don't know, maybe i'm thinking about it too much. I will go wash my dog now . -Kim

First off, I want to say hello. I've been talking to a member of this site on another forum, and he has give me the link here. I Have been looking around for the last 3 weeks or so, and have decided to post my little dilemma. Hopefully someone can help me or maybe just give me some advice. Here go's: As far as I can remember my feelings started around 10, 11, or 12 years old. I used to put on my mum’s clothes when she was out, and strapped my penis back, so it looked like I didn’t have one. I had a funny childhood and for a boy, I had some strange interests; among over things, I was into Horse Riding and also was in a Jazz Band, in my eyes these are main…

Ok, This is the description of the TLC program on tonight called "Born a Boy, Brought Up a Girl" A doctor advises that a victim of a botched circumcision be raised as female. My reaction to this is - What kind of dense Dr would suggest that this would be ok? Is he stupid? Does this sound like something a real Dr would suggest to you? -Kim Side Note: That must have been ONE botched circumcision huh?

Hi, I finally got validated today to be able to post, something i am very happy about. I have been reading the posts on the site for the last couple of days and have been excited for the chance to jump in. So I figured what better way than to just tell all about me, in book form! lol. I am 29 yrs old and i live in Louisville, Ky. I am married and have three children. I have been seeing a psychologist (herein referred to as "psych") for about a year now for a lot of things, all of which I am about to go into. Please forgive me for just kind of dumping all of this right off the bat, I have been in need of someone, people, to talk to for some time now. When I wa…

I know that we have talked about this subject many times but I will never get used to people talking about me. I was at the mall the other day and I over heard some guys talking about me, saying "I couldn't tell if that was a man or a woman". I usually just ignore such talk but I just don't know how you can let it keep from bothering you. Should we just accept such behavior as a fact of life because of what we are? Am I alone in these types of situations or have others experienced such circumstances? :(

I am looking for insight. information, websites, chat rooms (any) that you know of in relationship to marriage, affairs, sex, dating, between a MtF transgender and a normal male. I mean any tidbits, paragraphs, insight, experiences, websites or chatrooms where I can find out what I can expect in the area of marriage, affairs, sex, dating, between a MtF transgender and a normal male. OR the probabilities of transgendered MtF ending up in a lesbian relationship. Cassandra

So… I did the whole ‘coming out’ part with my boyfriend and parents. It went as smoothly as can be expected when you have a father who is all about being an analyst, a regular (albeit loud) mother, and a boyfriend who is too kind for his own good. Which means, while no one completely freaked out, I almost wished they did. Naturally, the problem is that they can’t bring themselves to understand my situation, which is understandable because of several things about me. For one, while I’m not particularly girly, I’m not very masculine in the way I act. Part of this is because I’m freakishly shy about who I am, so I’m mellow in almost everything I do. -Don’t want to be foun…

As you know I am a gg. I envy the women I see out in the stores and workplaces that can get away with wearing really cool and stylish heels. Problem is I am 5'9" and i don't have itty-bitty feet. Size 10 to be exact. I feel like a lumbering giant in heels, and I wish i could just get over it. Why shouldnt I be able to wear really cool, like leopard print high heels. Dammit, i am missing out on some fun here. My question for the taller ladies, do you have the same feeling I do when you wear heels? My husband says 'just wear them if you like them', but i dont like looking like an awkward giant either. Last time I went to Kohl's wearing 2 inch heels, I had 2 shorte…

Had this run in with a girl today, who apparently doesn't have a life, othen then wanting to make people around them miserable, and feel better about themselves. I dress in the mens fashion, though I still fully pre-op, and suddenly she feels the need to get in my face about it. Well Im good about not letting it bother me normaly, but I told her the true and said I was transexual. Hopping this might get her to just give up and go away. Result? Didn't work and made it worse. She just proceeded to laugh and say, "No, your a Fu**ing lesbian! You have the breasts and cooch to prove it! Lesbian!" Did not even bother after that to tell her im hetero and a man in a women bod…

We have many teddy bears and other stuffed animals. Until the last couple years, they usually stayed in the same places and I only occasionally picked any of them up. As my transsexual awareness and desires have intensified in the last couple years, I have become increasingly attached to my teddy bears and other stuffed animals. Maybe this is related to latent maternal instincts and needs or perhaps I am going through another childhood, anyway, I am quite attached to my teddy bears and other stuffed animals. I enjoy, as I never did before, holding and cuddling them. I also like having one of our stuffied animals often sleeping in bed with my wife and I.

PLEASE SHARE YOUR TRANSGENDER HORROR STORIES Here is mine... Reading several posts on the message board got me thinking about one of my own horror stories of the past. I should preface this by saying almost all of my experiences have been either positive or neutral, but this one was incredibly destructive for me. In the 1970's, when I was in my early teens, I struggled with my gender identity. This was pre-Internet and polite families simply didn't discuss transsexualism. Religious families such as my own had no tolerance whatsoever. I didn't know I was transsexual. I had never heard the term and I frankly didn't know there was anyone else in the world who wante…

I'm not sure where to start so please bear with me. Since I can remember I have never been totally comfortable with being male. Most of the time I'm glad that I'm a man but yet I want to look somewhere in between a man and a woman. When I was younger I could pass fairly well and dressing up always made me feel stimulated and relaxed all at the same time. I'm 50 now, very young looking and I am married. My wife knows to some degree of what I am but she seems disinterested in it and perhaps threatened. She knows that I'm not gay. However, she has never been supportive of what I think is a need. This is going to get convoluted so I will try to have it make sense. …
