Female to Male (FtM) Transsexual Discussion

  1. So I'm just starting to apply for colleges.... But when i move out for school I want to start Transitioning... So.... on my applications when it says sex/gender, do I put female or male? I'd feel extremely comfortable if I could put male but it's not what my teachers, transcript birth certificate or so on say. What about when I apply for housing? If the school offers co-ed housing I should just go with that right? How do I explain myself to others? I mean, in my school ( or on my bus rather) everyone calls me a tranny and I feel like it's extremely rude to do that.... What do I say? Thanks, Vick.

On 11/8/2011 I officially had my name changed from my birth name to Alexander along with a totally different middle and lastname. I cant believe how simple and easy that was. I didnt even have a real reason prepared. When the judge asked, I just stated that I didnt like the name i had, and he granted my request. Thats so awesome.

Hello, I'm new here and I'd like to share experiences to people with female to male. I'm just the other way around (male to female disorder) but I think it's more interesting to find out why people would have those things I liked to remove. For instance: beard growth and why it isn't an option to live as a wife? If I was offline here, you can reach me in the instant messengers (view profile). Best wishes from Germany ;-)

I saw the links on the other thread for this, and I checked out a few. I requested a binder from the Big Brothers, and got one. Thing is, embarrassingly, even though its the right side, I'm not sure how to put it on. It wont go over my head or on like a pair of pants. I mean I could force it on but then wont it get stuck when I go to take it off? I'm sure the outcome looks great, but how do you guys do it? Lucky

Gender: Female (But Deep Inside as I grew up....I Figured out that its a Wrong Answer!) I'm not a Female, Yet not a Male...I'm Just a Creature that lies in the Middle...... Not a He or a She ! I Dont know what Am I !! In My Place, Having a big family and loads of kids would be a source of Man's Self Imaged Pride among his tribe, Especially if his kids were mostly boys... I've never treated like a girl thou, maybe my parents thought that I have a Disorder or something mental... The reason as I realized later that I was spoiled by Gran…

So... I don't know where to start with all of this... I need guidance I guess. I have a lot of trans friends, both ftm and mtf. My girlfriend is mtf, but she says she doesn't know if she'll be able to help me much. I'm afraid to talk to my ftm acquaintances about this, I guess because I'm not 100% sure I AM trans. But maybe I am, and that scares me. I'm scared of what my family will say. My parents are gone, and I have two aunts who I'm really close to. One I'm sure would be able to accept her new potential nephew, but the other I'm not really sure what her reaction would be. I ordered a binder. I've made a new Facebook profile. I've told my two best friends and my gi…

I had a question about HRT and other options. I'm 45 and had a complete hysterectomy at the age of 27 because everything had stopped working and I had extreme endrometriosis (sorry about the spelling). I have never taken any hormones. I work out often and I'm not a big person at all, definitely in the chest area. There are all these websites that sell testosterone and/or muscle builders. Right now, I'm just interested in having a little more testosterone in my system to help build some muscle mass, I know as I do that, it will also decrease my breast size. I am not in a position to transition because of my job and my kids. Even though I am a teacher, I don't dress …

Hello I am Kim Lynn Guys I do want to help. I have only met about 20 F2M in person but talked to many more. Belive it or not you can learn some things from the M2F. Just look at what we do and then do it backwards LOL. Here I will give some examples and a warning at the end. If you are expressive when you talk then try to keep those wrists turned down. Because females turn them up they are showing open and trusting. Guys stay more guarded with that. When the ladies walk it is with more grace and flow, part of the reason is to keep there breast from bounceing as much. A guy will more walk through like he owns the place. There is not as much grace for alot and th…

(I'm trying to keep this as PG as possible. I hope this is all okay) Hey all. I'm recently coming out to myself. I'm still trying to discover my own gender. I was born with a female body. I'm attracted to men. I lost my virginity as 17 to my boyfriend, and he's the only person I've had sex with. Sex always hurt, I was diagnosed with vaginismus, a disease where nerves cause your vagina to close up when anything approaches it, causing huge amounts of pain or a complete inability to be penetrated. Now at 19, I'm realizing that more than anything this is probably a result of being trans. Do any other guys have experience with vaginismus? I'm mostly just trying to fig…

Hi there, I'm new to this forum so hopefully I'm posting this in the right place. Ever since I can remember I knew I was different. I knew I had the wrong parts "down there". It was so unfair, when I was very young I didn't even realize I had something else, I thought I was just missing a penis. At that age (starting to use a toilet) I don't even know how I knew what a penis was, I just knew I didn't have something I should. As I grew up I always felt uncomfortable with my body but I never really felt particularly male or female. Now that I'm older I'm finding I have to do something about this dilemma if I'm ever going to be happy or have a satisfying relationship. I'm…

Hey Guys Well, I finally got enough guts up to tell my wife that I am a transman. Her response was -- well duh, your the last to know. Not what I exactly expected but still it's good. it felt like such a relief to tell someone who knows me personally. Plus it made me finally admit it to myself. I have been saying I am gender queer for months -- I don't know why I was stuck there. However, I was at the fair and walking around thinking about things and realized that it wasn't genderqueer that I should be but transman. I don't want people to wonder which gender I am. I am a guy. I don't want anything to do with being a woman. I have already had a consultation…

No matter how much I try, even in my least gender dysphoric moments, I am never able to achieve orgasm from genital stimulation. It's not difficulty orgasming - anal stimulation works. I have minimal sexual feeling in my genitalia (even my clitoris). In other words, not only does my female body not fit my gender identity, it doesn't seem to even work. Is this normal for transmen? Do you think this is caused entirely by my gender dysphoria? Do you think there's an actual physical aspect to it (fewer nerves there, maybe?) Another thing is, even though my genitalia have some sexual feeling, just not enough to attain orgasm, my breasts have absolutely none.

I am a professional videographer/producer. I am currently putting together a video for the Male to Female TG's to give information on make-up tips, but also many other tips and tricks to help hide male features and bring out more feminine features to make you more passable as a female. I am wondering if there would be enough need/interest in a similar DVD for the Female To Male TG side of our community as well. Also, if anyone has any tips, ticks, or advice they would like to offer to share (for either MtF or FtM projects) please feel free to send me a message. Anything that may help others to obtain the desired appearance they wish to achieve and make them more pa…

Ok, I've just been puzzling over this in my head and figured I ask (how else am I going to learn?) For those of you who are hetero... do you prefer GG or TG women? Do you like feminine women or more masculine acting? I know there's not just one answer here, but I'm interested in seeing what the people I converse with think! Except Mr. "Run over all the girls"......

I just wanted to take a moment to recognize my brothers who were born in a female body who identify and strive to become male and let you know that while you may often be overlooked in many discussions concerning transgender issues, I do try to make the effort to remember and include you guys in with any information or TG topics I discuss, although I must admit I am also guilty of not always remembering to give you equal time, but I do try to make the effort to remember that you are all going through the same thing as your MtF sisters. While it seems that FtM transsexuals may not be as common as MtF (although I could be wrong) you do suffer all the same trials just as mu…

Hey guys, I live in Southern Utah and there aren't many resources available for the small trans community. I am wondering if anyone knows of website catalogs and other internet resources about ftm equipment and where I can purchase it. I'm interested in packys, strappers, etc, good quality and selection. I am eager to start my transition, but can't get the ball rolling till I have more resources and support. I'm down for some heart to heart and hearing about experiences as well. Thanks guys

Hello everyone. Its been a while since I have been to these forums, but I am here in hopes that a question of mine can be answered. I am a transsexual woman. I have seen all kinds of surgeries for MTF folk. However, out of curiosity I wanted to see the Metoidioplasty and Phalloplasty surgeries for FTM. I can find pictures but never any videos of the surgery. If anyone can lead me in the right direction it would really satisfy my curiosity. Much love to you all, Nicole ^_^

Hi everyone. Looking to see if anyone has constructive ideas for raising money for surgery. I'm looking to complete my surgery....have the doctors and therapists letters....even have someone that will go with me and help out. Just have to raise the funds. I know care credit and Capital One health used to lend monies, but since the economic downturn, they have stopped lending. I have no house to take an equity loan on, and even my car is 11 years old. Any ideas? I'm open to all. thanks.

Salutations! So far I am all round female, but wish to cross that line and live half the time as a male without T or surgery. I've been looking around the usually helpful internet for the past week and finding very little. There's no one I know personally going from female to male (it seems a large quantity of persons are going the other way round) and I'm frustrated. So here is my plea. First off, I'm small. As in short and skinny, and just generally little. There's hardly any muscle in my arms (this I plan to change) And my face isn't exactly girly, but it's not straight out manly either. My hair is blond and shorter with longer bangs at the front. Also, I lik…

There is a TV in the foyer at work, often showing our own company's adverts, but as I was leaving work the other day it was tuned in to Sky News (What would be Fox News over in the US I Guess) - Anyway they were running a story of a 'pregnant man' and showed a picture of him... As the story develpoed the reporter said something like* "He was once a woman, and when he made his change he kept his internal organs and now claims he is pregnant" *I maybe not be word perfecy here but this was the tone of what was reported. Since then I've not beeen able to find any mention of this story on-line. I don't even know which country it was in. It did seem very strange t…

Hi.. first time posting here so I'm a bit nervous but here goes. This is my situation. I'm physically female but mentally I feel like I'm not. I guess I feel like I am neither/both, but I do have times when I feel male. I'm usually neutral. I explain myself as being intergender when I tell someone about me. But I have always hated being stereotyped like a girl, I don't act or dress like one, and I cringe when people call me "she." I'm a moderator in an online game, and on the forums associated with it. I have very few offline friends and I'm pretty much a shut-in. All of my best friends are online and met them through this game. The community at large doesn…
