  2. I found this on YouTube tonight, and both Adrianne and I thought it was hilarious. And I thought that it could help lighten spirits while we're still stuck under the virus.

  3. The Spidermites of Jesus movie , actually a biographical look at a Richmond Virginia Drag queen , and street person is now off and running ! Yes, I'm in this movie , but DON'T go to see me . See the movie as it looks back to a time in Richmond Virginia LGBT history as it portrays the DARK Underbelly of Richmons's fan District . I lived during these times and I have survived and THRIVED! I met Donnie , uh Dirtwoman in 1969 as I began a short career in night time Taxi driving . Donnie was outside his HQ , the Village , then , a local Bohemian Speak easy on Grace Street near the then RPI, uh Richmond Professional Institute , today , Virginia Commonwealth University . Do…

  4. The Jerry Williams biographical movie on Richmond Virginia's "Dirt woman", aka Donnie Corker has been accepted into the Virginia Film Festival in Charlottesville virginia in November !!!! This is exciting because I am a "Bit player " in the finished production and I knew Donnie personally as I was a cab driver for years and I once worked at the movie theater that his Father owned for awhile . This truly is an inspirational movie too because Donnie encouraged several to get out of the closet and be REAL years before it was allowable , legal or even acceptable ! http://dirtwomandoc.com/world-premiere/#comment-68

A very lovely day to everyone! I’ve created this thread for us to have another light-hearted discussion, this time, about the furry creatures in our lives. It’s always nice to have a four-legged companion beside you, especially in those trying times. I have a Siamese cat named Silya. She’s such an adorable dear, loves to cuddle and purr and sn uggle before bed time. I guess I could say she’s a bit spoiled, aside from buying her a scratch posts, pet supplements and squeaky toys are a part of my regular shopping list. She has always been a good friend to me, and I know, throughout my transition, she will still be there for me, hand-in-hand (paws-in-hand, I mean). How about…

Things we have learned from the movies… *During all police investigations, it will be necessary to visit a strip club at least once. *All telephone numbers in America begin with the digits 555. *Beds have special L-shaped cover sheets which reach up to the armpit level on a woman; but only to waist level on the man lying beside her. *The ventilation system of any building is the perfect hiding place. No one will ever think of looking for you in there, and you can travel to any other part of the building you want without difficulty *Should you wish to pass yourself off as a German officer, it will not be necessary to speak the language. A German accent w…

  7. I've talked about this with Adrianne a few times, and she's all for it. Despite being in a wheelchair, I still know how to fight, and feel like I could be a good instructor. It's not martial arts. It's completely different. I won't teach anyone how to use a weapon, but I will teach them how to defend themselves against someone using a weapon against them. I've been in countless fights over the years and the only time I was on the losing end is when 4 cowards jumped me from behind. All that said, I'm sure I could help some people out. I wouldn't set an age limit, but I think I would do best with kids. They're usually a lot more open to taking in information, wherea…

  8. If I had any marbles left I'd be looking for them instead, but this isn't the problem. I have a song lyric stuck in my head, and no matter what I do, it keeps repeating itself, over and over. I've tried listening to music, watching videos, playing video games, playing with my babies, and everything else I can think of. Nothing works. I'm about to paint a target on the wall and try running head first into it. Well, wheelchairing head first, but to hell with semantics. I also have a cast iron skillet. It's cold out and raining, so maybe a "polar plunge" would do the trick? It's not exactly December anymore, but it's still colder than a well diggers butt out there. And I hav…

I don’t know who all has heard about this, but a couple days ago a tourist sub taking 5 tourists down to the Titanic in the Atlantic Ocean imploded killing all of them. One was a 19 year old kid, and another was the CEO of the company that organizes these deep sea tours. If I remember right anyway. They were reportedly only about 1600 feet from the bow when it happened. They had lost all contact with the surface prior to the implosion. But as they descended there was some kind of unnoticed fault in their submersible and in a nanosecond they were all dead. The pressure at those depths would compress a full grown human into an object the size of a marble. They were all dead…

  17. Wow. And I thought I had a lot of guns. I'm 100% sure he has modified at least one of those rifles to be fully automatic. Which adds another felony on top of his crimes. Not even the military is fully automatic. They only employ a 3 shot burst. At least with the M16's.

  18. _________________________________________________________ TSA seems to prove at every turn that they have no respect or regard for anyone, and seem to deal with passengers with some special brand of contempt. Even in a statement in an update to the article, their attitude seems to clearly indicate that they don't believe one of their agents acted as was reported. If this story is true, which I have no reason to believe it isn't, I can only believe that if TSA has agents who have no respect for the remains of someone's loved one... how can we ever expect them to have respect for transpeople? Respect is respect no matter where it comes from, and no matter to where i…

This is something that has been bugging me for a while now. This is gonna sound weird to most everyone. We all have a dead name that we no longer answer to. We ask people to use our actual name. For me my dead name is Jared. My actual name now is Jennifer. But with the Twitter/X thing I'm torn. I know it's not trans friendly, but I also don't know what to call it. Since the website was built, everyone knew it as Twitter. Now that Elon skuM owns it, and changed its name, what do we call it? The majority of people don't know what X is when you talk about it. They only know it as Twitter. So is Twitter the dead name and we call it X now? I know it's just a website, but …

  20. A couple weeks ago, I saw an article about Intel, and the fact that the company would no longer be donating to the Boy Scouts of America because of the organization's anti-gay policies. I considered posting about it...but changed my mind after finding other news stories that I thought might have been of more interest. Come to find out (if I had read the article rather than just glancing at the headline), Intel -BSA's largest corporate donor- apparently only backed off after activist Zack Wahls gathered more than 30,000 signatures on a Change.org petition. Wahls is now going after UPS considering they have a 100% rating on the HRC Corporate Equality Index. Read t…

  24. There's a lot of really goofy songs out there. All over. Some crazier than others. One of my all time favorites is Da Turdy Point Buck. The band name is even funny. Bananas At Large. Another one about banana's is Banana Phone . And the last one involving bananas: It's starting to seem that I have a rather unhealthy preoccupation with bananas...
