Hi, I am unique California athletic outdoor girl looking for similar to explore the world. I am a blonde, athletic, a little taller than average, giftedly gendered lady looking to meet new friends. As a fitness trainer and bodybuilder competitor I was catapulted into the national spot light as the first transgender to compete in a body building competition in San Diego, California at the Scottish Rite Center in October of 2011. The attention and news coverage landed opportunities to speak out and about the difficulties, misconception and misperceptions that transgender individuals face on a daily and now national level. My main focus is personal fitness and publicly…

Hi all! My name is sheela, which is a sanskit word meaning "harmony, and approaching life in the right way. I began my transition in May 2011, and have been living FT since January 2012, when I had FFS. The surgery was done my Dr Z in Chicago, and I'm very happy with the result. I know I have alway been female since a little child, but for ages had no idea what to do about this. The concept of being born in the wrong body didnt occur to me for a long time. I used to think that I may have been dropped off on the wrong planet. I'vr learned now that the way I look influences gratly how the world i live in will treat me. Now that I look live a woman, sound like woman…

Hi Lori and everyone, First I would like to say THANK you to Lori for your message on twitter and the information on how to get to the tgguide, I am a single, 56 y/o M2F,Pre-op ,I have been on hormones for over 5 years now, I live in a very rural area of Eastern Kentucky, I have no support group here in my area, to attend any support group I have to travel 3 hours to Lexington,Kentucky but my endocrinologist and therapist are also in Lexington ,Ky so it isn't such a bad drive, to begin hormones you had to have a therapist and the facility here in my area told me they would not see "my kind "so that is why I had to go so far for a therapist and endocrinologis…

Hello everyone. I'm Sarah, a 47yr old M2F from Essex UK. Here for mutual support and make new friends. I separated from my wife a couple of years ago - mostly because of my gender identity issues. My two teenage kids no nothing about Sarah at the moment. As to 'where' on the 'gender identity scale' I sit is still a matter of some personal debate. I have had gender doubts for over 40 years, but hopefully soon I'll get to see some real professionals to help me sort this out. I'm not full time, but nearly all my time outside of work and family is dressed female. It's how I feel most comfortable, calm and 'together' I'm on Twitter as @SarahReed2004 Look …

Hello to everybody. And to Lori thank you for your warm kindness. A little about me ... Madison Rae. Trying to keep it short, basically knew I was different from a very early age. went through many of the same trial and tribulations of most other gurls. Long ago I accepted myself for who i am. But its only been this year that I started to plan and work towards what I call "My Exit Strategy" Some may call it "coming out" but since I really haven't figured out what that means yet, I will simply call it as it is. Me finally exiting the shadows of my comfortable closet. There is still a great deal of planning and research for me but the time is growing closer. Right now…

Hi Everyone, My name is Roxanne. I am hoping to meet new friends on here and get plenty of help, advice and support as I go on my dream journey through transition from male to female. I am a pre op at the very beginning of transition. I am already finding it a hard road to travel and at the moment I am traveling alone and in the dark. So any words of help, advice, support and understanding would be most welcome. Thank you very much Roxy.

Hello everyone! Alexia here from Transgender Digipad,a new transgender online community, that recently became a follower of the TGGuide on twitter. Just wanted to drop in to say hello and spread the word about our new site. I am the owner and founder of Transgender Digipad organisation. I am a MTF transgender who is pre-op and currently undergoing my own transition journey. For years, I have struggled to find informative and truthful information about the transition process in Australia. After four years of seeking the facts from the BS online, I have commited myself to sharing my personal experiences in my blog and creating a virtual community where we can all shar…

Looking for a companion. My friend has been married to a post-op trangender for 6 years now and is VERY happy! She is beautiful. In fact for the first 3 yeasr I didn't know it. I only know it know because she tol me to convince me to try dating a transgender to see that the problems associated with genetic women are gone because MTF understand exactly how you think. I don't even know where to start to find a post-op transgender MTF. I'm OK with pre-op as long as post-op is coming. Anyone have any ideas how to even begin to look for MTF when your used to looking for women?

I am someone who has been hiding inside someone who I am not for years now and I am getting more worried that the real woman inside will never be able to get out. I really need someone who can see my problem without judgement and help me to that journey that will let the woman inside of me bloom and become real. I suffer from trying to go out in public as who I know who I am for fear of being found out so I do not get to do it that often and would like to get to do it more often with the right person helping me to gain the confidence of being out in public as a woman and not be caught as the other person. If there is anyone who could understand this and possibly help it w…

figured me out four years ago, at least to the "I should be a woman!" stage. Even in DFW it is hard not to be totally isolated. Particularly when your 65. With my health and poverty issues, I'm afraid Orchiectomy is as close as I will even get to the dream. Still, a girl by hormones.... sounds pretty good from here! I'm here for all the help I can get (isn't there a ten minute makeup?) and because my therapist said I should reach out. Specifically I need to hear from ladies about the long term effects of no (very low) testosterone. From what my mind and pre op body tells me, there wont be any big surprises. But, that's why they call them surprises! Please, if y…

Hi all. My name is Tanya. I am a m2f transsexual living in Albuquerque, NM. I have been living full time at home for several years, but because I work at a religious organization, have not come out. I am seeing a local counselor/therapist, and she is helping a lot. I have felt wrong since some of my earliest memories, but I had no frame of reference to understand who I was for years. I am looking for friendship and would love to talk to anyone, but especially from this area. I think one of my biggest problems has been getting over stereotypes of how a man or a woman should be acting or what interests they should have. I am definitely a softie, and cried easily lon…

Hello everyone. I hope I'm in the right place. Who am I? That's a hard question to answer, I don't know that yet myself. For 40 years I have been Robert, but I never felt like Robert, I never liked Robert and only recently have I decided to do something about it. I put a pistol in my mouth for the first time when I was 14. I knew from about age 6 that I was somehow "wrong." I preferred to play with my sisters toys, mimicking the female voices of the barbies when we played pretend. I preferred her clothes. My mom just assumed I was weird until I started getting out of hand, my temper was horrible. My mother had me tested for everything under the sun, the doctors said I …
