I'm a 21 year old transgender male from Pittsburgh,PA in the USA. I recently came out to my family and am looking for support from anyone who will give me it. I actually plan on getting counseling from Persad Center because I'm still confused on what I want. I identify mostly as bi-gendered, but there are times when I wish I was a girl. I just feel more intouch with my feminine side and I want it to be expressed on the outside. I've even gone as far as going out in full dress since I came out. I don't wear a wig and make up though. I go out as a male in female clothing. Can't wait to start talking more about this to people though (:

Surfed my way here. Am 56 (today) transwoman fom northern England. Medical condition (hypertensive stroke survivor) means no surgical interventions, but I am on anti androgens (spirolactone and finasteride), I have great thick shiny shoulder length hair, look younger tham my years and have my own real boobs! (fantastic). Simi retired i do some work conducting transgender awareness training workshops in both the public and private sectors.

I'm a 28 year old trans man living in Tennessee. I've just discovered this site and I'm here in hopes of finding more information on the transgender community. I've been male my entire life but, my anatomy disagrees. I've only recently realized that I'm not the only one who's body doesn't match their gender identity and am searching for as much information as I can to help me on my journey. Hello. I am brand new here from twitter. My name is Jasper and I'm soon to be 20 years old. I've struggled all of my life with my gender identity and have always known something was different and not quite right for the little girl named Ashley that I was. It took me years and years of trying to cover up who I was for me to break free. I came out to my mom when I was 16 and she simply told me "I've known your whole life." I'm out to everyone now and I embrace who I am. It is even tattoo'd on my leg and I begin my process of therapy sometime towards October. I'm very excited. I hope to make many friends here.

It was written by and for the trans community. It is powered by data from safe2pee. You can help build the app by downloading and adding locations in your own communities. I have known 'Alan' for nearly 30 years. It wasn't until 2006 that I met 'Alana' and, frankly, thought of 'her' as some sort of freak. It took transition, MY transition, for me to 'see' differently -- to 'understand' there is only one person, one spirit, no matter what 'label' I chose when addressing that person - either Alan or Alana. A good way for me to explain, and understand, is using my caterpillar/cocoon/butterfly analogy.
