First, I want to say, that I am so thankful to God for giving me this opportunity for the great relationship i am now having with my Dad. Wanted to write this for those that , right now, maybe parents are not being accepting. Things were'nt always this great. My Dad, for years, refused to accept me....of having anything to do with me at all. I had many therapists tell me to let my family go. But, that's just not me. Family is family. It took alot of hard times, alot of biting my tongue and being humble, and alot of perserverence. Not giving in or giving up. Tough to do, but I am finding the years of fighting are now worth it. I now have this great relationsh…

Here he uses a bad study to have a moral panic over, then at 8:20 in the video makes a false equivalence between age and gender (while again conflating gender and sex).

I was reading posts on Reddit and came across this response: "So, the actual definition of biological sex is by the type of gametes you produce for your species, not by chromosomes. So there are at most 4 biological sexes: produce smaller gametes (male) produce larger gametes (female) produce both gametes (hermaphroditic) produce no gametes (nonsexual) This is the definition of sex across all sexual species, which is why there are things like "male seahorses give birth" (they have the smaller gametes; the larger gametes are injected into them by the female, who could be said to …

On this date in 2005, I came out to myself as a cross dresser. All the tension and struggle and inner turmoil dissipated upon making that confession. I have progressed from a cross dresser to transgenderist to transgender woman. I've never been happier.

Wasn't sure where to put this..so yeah. the gay guy on the left in the video really pisses me off for his narrow minded view on transpeople. ! Language in this video not suitable for viewers under the age of 18, or for others easily offended by profanity !

  12. Neither Man Nor Woman: Meet the Agender New York Magazine The social network has become an unofficial home for the gender neutral. Though most group themselves with the transgender community, they reject the narrative of a person born into the wrong, oppositely-gendered body... I found this to be a very interesting article... Gender neutral folks who are alternately called agender or gender neutrois. ~ Lori

  14. Hi all, I thought I mention some common sense pointers: It takes way too long for dating interaction through social media websites, It costs on average registeration and per monthly fees $45 for premium access and full features, Response time from male or women it can take forever to get a reply or actual meeting in real world (for me its easier to go out and meet and greet ), Lastly for trans male to interact with male to link up the male checks on trans to see in every detail who he is meeting with. Generally I put all my facts straight up in my introduction page so I don't have to go with introducing myself over and over, the pitfalls of trans dating versus…

  20. “I was born in 1983. I don't know of what particular relevance this specific is, except to think back to what things were like then. A few things were, in my opinion, better, like the quality of vacuous pop music. I'll take Lipps Inc. over Justin Bieber any day, even if he does come with k.d. lang's stamp of approval. The ratio between pay and productivity was better, though the government of the day was doing what it could about that small equity. And we had a much cooler prime minister here in Canada. And some things were, obviously, worse, the most glaring ones to me being the Internet and tolerance. Not only did people tend to have far less understanding, decency, and…

Dear Friends, Am going on a fact-finding trip to Seattle, WA, on Friday, September 13th to Friday, September 20th. Thinking of moving there in the future. Would really appreciate what anyone has to say about Medicaid, and public housing as well as general information, such as public transit. Is anyone familiar with Seattle, especially how T/LGB - friendly it is? Will be staying in a hotel near SEATAC Airport. Please drop me a PM. Thank you very much. Yours truly, Monica

I recently received a survey from Facebook on behalf of a third party company. Checked the company out and they are indeed a valid survey company. The survey, the way I saw it was genuinely concerned about the LGBT community and if you are on FB would urge you to take the survey. The survey comes from an email so look for it in your inbox.

...Yeah, it shouldn't be that way, but it is...and there's not much we can do about it. Yet. So... I once commented somewhere among the many threads here at TGG that it seemed one can usually tell if the speaker (or writer) is lesbian or gay: lesbians will always say "LGBT," and quite often, gays will say "GLBT." Even some straight women and men will follow the same "rule." But no matter what, we are always last. Well, that is, if there aren't a slew of other initials tacked on by the well-meaning over-zealous. Some of you may have noticed that I have recently started using "TGLB" instead of "LGBT" or "GLBT." But that's probably only because maybe I make a f…

  25. Rev. Susan Russell, 06/29/2012 7:54 pm "And one of those was my wife. Now, I have a hard-and-fast rule to never blog about my wife, but this blog is going to be the exception that proves the rule. A long-time activist, journalist, documentarian, and media consultant, Louise was convinced that gay, lesbian, and bisexual equality was a hard enough row to hoe without adding the "T" into the mix. "Let's fight one battle at a time" pretty much summed up her position -- that is, until the 2009 General Convention and the powerful witness of the transgender folk who so courageously shared their stories, their experience, their journeys, and their reality with her. She left Anahe…
