We celebrated early as my friend's mother needed to get home early and her daughter has to be at work (Macy's) by 4:30. I was pleasantly surprised that traffic was light on the way home but just the opposite heading to her place. When taking the picture I commented that my high heels made me tower over them so this is what they did

This week I began my name change with a good friend's help that was a professional lawyer. This is why I changed my user name with the assistance of Lori. Once the process started it takes between 6-8 weeks, much of this has too do with Judge availability and public postings. My therapist is writing a letter for me to give to DMV so I can also change my gender from M to F. She is on their approval list at the DMV for doing this.

to be stumped - Be stumped no more! Being "stumped" comes from the pioneering days when the land was cleared to lay down train tracks. When the workers came across a tree stump, it would cause a dilemma or "to be stumped."

So asking for some positive energy...prayer ....whatever works for you. My 14 year old dog, who is the love of my life, suffered a stroke on Thursday. His left legs are very weak. He turns out his left front leg to the point it looks like it should break. I have been told he is not in pain. I did just give him a warm bath and massage. That seemed to help. It's times like this that I wish I had a support system

I heard this on _Good_Morning_America_ Friday, 9 May 2014. I wasn't paying full attention until some of these lyrics caught my ear, then my heart and now my mind. Although it's labeled "official" there are some mistakes in the text. There are links to other videos, etc. Perhaps some of them are real. So, I'm sharing this video:

  13. A couple weeks ago, I saw an article about Intel, and the fact that the company would no longer be donating to the Boy Scouts of America because of the organization's anti-gay policies. I considered posting about it...but changed my mind after finding other news stories that I thought might have been of more interest. Come to find out (if I had read the article rather than just glancing at the headline), Intel -BSA's largest corporate donor- apparently only backed off after activist Zack Wahls gathered more than 30,000 signatures on a Change.org petition. Wahls is now going after UPS considering they have a 100% rating on the HRC Corporate Equality Index. Read t…

So, my brother in law was at my Mom's to clear the snow off the roofs. My 84 year old Mom tells him she will do the garage roof because she wants the exercise. So, in cleaning of the garage she sinks in the snow up to her waist. She finally was able to crawl out on her hands and knees. And she calls, laughing. I am so amazed at my Mom. At her age, the physical, mental and spiritual strength she has, amazes me. Yea, I have an amazing Mom.

Given the extreme temperatures we have had this winter, be sure to keep a check on the air in your tires. The extreme changes and cold can cause your tires to lose air. Just a reminder to all my friends here.

As most of you know, I have been helping out my Dad for a while now. I finally realize you can't help someone that refuses to help themselves. For a while my dad has been saying he needs more care. I asked him if he would allow me to look into assisted living. he said no. at the same time, he keeps telling all his nurses, doctors and social workers from the VA that he needs 24/7 care. I finally put it on the table today. Told him if he needs 24/7 care I will look into assisted living if he wants me too. Otherwise he can just keep playing the game he is playing and he will find himself in a place he does not want to be. A nursing home. And once the VA steps In, …

I know I have said this before. For years my parents would not speak to me. I had many therapists tell me to let them go. glad I didn't listen. Even though my Mom will not allow me home, we have so much fun talking on the phone. And I am finding out so much family history. I had always heard about a woman called Sunshine. Found out today her name was Bell Ripley and she is the woman that named my Mom. I had also always heard about this man named Peter Gooseturd. Found out that he was a brother of my great grandmothers. He was a very big man and all the kids used to be scared of him. So he told all the kids his name was Peter Gooseturd so they wouldn't be afraid…

I have a very dear friend that lives in the Philippines. I have no idea how him or his family made out. Asking for your good thoughts and prayers for him and his family, and for all that live there. And to be totally honest, this good friend is my ex. We have always had a great relationship and now, a great friendship. I truly hope him and his family are safe.

So, I am looking to get back into my old profession of accounting. I know I have a lot of catching up to do, so, I am looking for a place where I can purchase college textbooks - teachers editions. (Used) I believe if I can find such an animal, I can do the catching up I need to do on my own. Any suggestions? I have the degree and the license, I just need to catch up. Thanks for any and all suggestions.

In my humble opinion, EVERY member of Congress (and Senate for that matter) should be fired! They are an embarrasment to the constituencies they allegedly represent and rehensible to all Americans. Besides shutting the governement down, they want to get the US in a war with Syria. They do not talk about the 18 million children who go to bed hungry every night, the seniors (18-20 million) who really struggling, the one million homeless veterans, and the financial crises they and their cronies on Wall Street put us in. I could go on but it may take a lifetime to mention them all. I do have some solutions but telling them is like talking to the wall.

A Russian anti-gay group has asked prosecutors to investigate milk cartons that it claims promote homosexuality to children. The label of the Vesyoly Molochnik milk, owned by multinational dairy company Pepsi Co, is adorned with a jolly milkman and a rainbow in the sky. Anatoly Artukh from the People's Council, says the label is a violation of St Petersburg's anti-gay propaganda law. "A rainbow appeared on the cartons, a world-renowned symbol of the gay movement," he said. "That immediately put me on alert." State prosecutors are now investigating if the label is attempting to promote homosexuality to youth, as Mr Artukh claims. "I have no doubts about …

I have always felt that one of my purposes in life was to take care of my family. At 3 years old, my parents had a big fight and my Mom ran out and jumped into the car. I remember like it was yesterday, something inside me told me to jump in the car with her. She told me years later that she was planning on crashing the car...taking her life, but she saw me with her and couldn't do it. I have always felt my life purpose has been to be there for my family, even when they weren't there for me. I am now my Dad's primary caregiver. Took him to the VA on Thursday and they declared him legally blind. Also, with my Mom and my sister, they have always had a strain…
