I couldn't resist. So many mid watches, so much time! Sneaking into the CO's office and making crank calls to the Marines Corporal of the Guard! Hoping they call back and leave an expletive laced reply AND THEY DO! PRICELESS! This application letter has allt he hallmarks!

I wasn't really sure where to put this video... news, rights & political activism, trans vids. Anyway... here it is, and it's looking like Seattle is the place to be ....

Do you ever find yourself in a new locale and kinda bored with the tourist fare. I sure am. I was delighted when, some years back, I accidentally found and explored the Catacombs in Paris. What a totally cool and unexpected find. I recently heard on NPR about this awesome website called Atlas Obscura, which lists thousands of such things that you can locate near your home or wherever you're traveling: http://www.atlasobscura.com/ In case your interested, here's their posting on the Catacombs. Spooky when walking around by yourself as I was, but it's a fond memory I have forever: http://www.atlasobscura.com/places/catacombes-de-paris

  4. For most of us it's hard to fully comprehend what is happening in the Middle East. We hear so much it becomes like a blur. This documentary video provides a glimpse into the human tragedy of migrants crossing 4.1 miles of sea from Turkey to Greece: "The film presents a harrowing day in the life of a Greek coast guard captain charged with saving the lives of terrified adults and children attempting to cross the Aegean Sea on flimsy rafts. The captain, Kyriakos Papadopoulos, pulls family after family, child after child, from the Mediterranean — though he is entirely unprepared to conduct relief efforts on such a massive scale. The problem is far from over. Many of the refug…

  11. Jul 29, 7:36 AM EDT STOCKHOLM (AP) -- She was off duty and wearing a bikini but that didn't stop Swedish police officer Mikaela Kellner from catching a suspected thief. A photo of Kellner pinning the suspect to the ground was trending on social media in Sweden this week. "My first intervention while wearing a bikini during my 11 years as a police officer," she wrote on Instagram. I just wanted to share a general observation if I may. Is there any better feeling than freshly shaved legs? I absolutely love the way mine feel. Thankfully, I was blessed with very little body hair. I only need to shave mine maybe once a month. My knees have to be shaven more often. I don't necessarily love shaving them but love the way they feel afterwards. Just my observation. Have a great day! Kayla

  13. I wasn't really sure where to put this since it isn't really news, and it doesn't have anything to do with rights and political activism. But it was damn funny (least ways I thought it was), and I had find someplace to put it ~~ Samantha Allen | 04.26.16 2:40 PM ET "In fact, if you oppose transgender rights, you shouldn’t even be spreading AFA’s petition using their recommended #BoycottTarget hashtag because Facebook, Twitter, and Google all aced the CEI. just to be clear, this isn't hate directed at the ghosties of the chat-room, it's just something funny I came up with (had help of course) “run run as fast as you can, hurry hurry or you'll get the ban. If you go down the path of the troll, out with your dam soul. Do not tick off a ghostie, for I hear he.ll is rather toasty. If you get Charles I have bad news, he's got a massive boot to use. If you get Karen I would watch yourself - for only after an apology, will her anger be put on the shelf. If you get McCookie I would run for the hills, for her anger will give you the chills. If you get Rachel brace for impact, for I hear her slap gives off a rather nasty CRACK…

  16. This is far from humorous, but this announcement brings back so many memories. Here's a link to the story: Keith Emerson, ’70s Rock Showman With a Taste for Spectacle, Dies at 71 My friends and I were big fans of ELP back in the day. We saw them at the San Francisco Civic Auditorium in '72 or '73 - it was fantastic! Our seats (not that anyone sat much) were about four or five rows back from center stage. I missed catching a white Hammond B3 key by about an arms length that Keith threw into the audience after stabbing rather large knives into his keyboard. Very fun. Very LOUD! Boom! As he rocked that organ back and forth on a corner, only to let it crash onto the stage.…

OH my turtles I need the clock to move faster and Nikki to get home. I really really need hugs. So on top of the passing yesterday I'm dealing with, I get to work already kinda shaky and stomach ill, and I say good morning to big boss every day as I pass him and he looks up at me and says in a weirdly sympathetic voice "I understand you had an interesting evening last night". And I'm comletely freaked out. My brain is going "HOw did he know he died? Wait, did he find out about Nikki? Or is he talking about me sticking my head in my wreath on door and nearly getting suck? HOW THE HELL WOULD HE KNOW ANY OF HTIS? What is this?" Apparently my mom had an emergency appen…

Many of us make promises/commitments to ourselves for the new year whether we keep them on not is a moot point, at least we try. Personally I had big ones the past two years which all pointed to one end-point, toss out the male and let the female emerge. For 2016, I am never bringing up my old male self in conversation unless there is a need too so to be honest.Get more in gear to teach personal protection to the LGBT community and females. This is rather huge in that I may end up teaching in other states or countries. What are yours?

  21. Started by Christine,

Well, I was out shopping in snugg-ish jeans, a pretty blue casual top, and ballet wedges (a one inch wedge), and topping it off with a blue cross-body purse and my makeup. This is an every day style for me. One that garners the odd kook from people on the buss or in a restaurant. From the few stares or light snickers I get (and which I brush off), I assume I don't pass. Soooo I was out playing my favorite sport, (shopping even if I can't afford to buy anything). With a handful of things to try on, I headed to the dressing room. I expected the usual- being handed the number card and shown towards the men's side,. But to my surprise, the lady said, "this way miss" and …

I wanted show you a picture from Freddies Beach Bar, the most TG - and CD - friendly I have ever been to. Once a week, they have drag karaoke that is as much a comedy show as much as a karaoke show. They have a full dinner menu open until late. Overall, it's just a great place to visit it you in Crystal City, Va. On the picture- I can't figure out how to pull it out of my library (Mac) and insert into my posting. BTW- we are all welcome whether it is drag show night or not, and you'll be hard pressed to find a nicer staff (I lost count of being called, "Honey," "miss" and similar monikers. It was a great feeling)

  25. NOTE: I really didn't know where to put this post - in the General TG Discussion forum, the Celebrity Ally forum, or the TG News & Happenings forum. Canseco isn't trans - so much for TG discussion. He's far from making a good ally. And, this is hardly news. So he ended up here... in the off-topic forum. I just brought the story to the board to spark some discussion, see what comments members might have about this. -Mike 31 July 2015, gaily grind " “Once I watched it more and more, and realized what it really entailed, what he was going through, I started supporting him.”" Former MLB Player Jose Canseco Will Live “As A Woman” For A Week To Understand Caitlyn
