Hi, I am struggling with my gender identity and currently feeling confused about it. I am also questioning my sexuality identity, and I'm trying to find the right gender identity and the right answers for myself.

Anyone doing anything in particular to celebrate our month? I probably won't unless it's something here at home. We've had several hundred (yes HUNDRED) shootings this year already, and I'm scared to do anything outside my home for fear of getting shot. Things like rallies, parades, and whatnot. I want to make the most of it this year, but I'm also scared. If anyone has a celebration, save me a burger or hot dog. Great, now I want a BBQ cheeseburger.

There’s something I’ve been thinking about that only confuses me more and more as I think about it. We’re all under fire for being who we are. But when you see news about imposing bans and restrictions, there’s one common theme that sticks out to me. They seem to forget half of the community. I’m falling back into hopelessness when I think about transitioning. I can get electrolysis. I’m going under the needle Tuesday. But when I think about everything else, reality hits so hard I think I’m gonna puke. I’ll never be able to fully transition and get a female body. I could never afford it. I went for an analysis of my hairline and to bring it forward to refill my receding hairline, it would cost $14k. I don’t have that kind of money. And I never will. Queer youth, especially trans youth are more likely to experience poverty due to being unhoused and/or living in a environment that does not support your gender identity / identities in general. Many of my queer peers are stuck working full time jobs with pay barely above minimum wages just to escape their unsupportive households. With the cost of living being at an all-time high, being able to live without support from your parents, fresh out of high school can be, and more often than not is, extremely challenging. Finally the athletic community is addressing the issue of transgender athletes. As a transgender woman most of the time I run in my women athletic clothing. I have take herbals for over three years now and now need to wear a bra and have a softer trim body that fits well in women's cut sports wear. I actually almost look funny in men's cut sports wear. ----- this discussion focus will be on the social and acceptance aspects of the transgender athlete. In my case I never expect to finish SRS but I do feel like more like a woman athlete and do wish to complete at least as non-binary in future sporting events.

Years ago I was in Spain and went into a bar called the Daunte, All the 'ladies' in there were wearing neck scars like back in the 60's. I found out later it was to hide the Adams Apple. As we are developing, some of us prefer to wear bras and some do not. Soreness may prevent us from this, while the "image" of being a woman may overshadow this.

If you are going to transition and wish to pass as a cis-gendered woman, where do you find your frame of reference? Women of my age have been mothers and are probably now grandmothers as well, they have lived all of their lives in the role I yearn to fill.
