Dear Friends, Have learned a painful lesson today. The administrator of a gender conference introduced me to a couple who would be going my way on the way to a gender conference. Our communication was by text and e-mail only. Thought we had agreed to go on a Wednesday when they insisted that we had agreed on a Tuesday. This is the lesson I learned: MAKE NO ARRANGEMENTS BY TEXT OR E-MAIL! Insist on VOICE COMMUNICATION ONLY! If they refuse, don't do business with them! Luckily, I have a friend who had established VOICE COMMUNICATION with me who I am sharing a room with, and my experience with her is totally different! She has graciously agreed to go HUN…

Just as the question says ! I ask this because it seems that Women in in general and especially those with an Artistic back ground seem to be far more accepting of we M2F's .

You came here hoping to what? Learn something or be rolled in sugar and told how great you are. Well tell me, why are you here Are you in need of truthful answers or softball regergitated platitudes like all the other LGBT sites. Can you handle being told the cold realities about Life, Death and everything in between, including and not limited to truth about Transition in the real world. I want, no I need to know .

Hi girls, I’m wondering what’s the difference if one was just to take estrogen vs if they just took t-blockers vs taking both? since I’m going to Japan it seems the doctors there are wary of T-blockers because of some side-effects that may happen. But should I push for it? Of course I’ll get my blood checked first, but I really really don’t want to become more masculine. The doctor claimed the estrogen would block testosterone anyway. Usually when you take estrogen do they give you progesterone too? If so I forgot what progesterone does(dang it memories of sophmore year of high school has failed me). If I were to only take estrogen with no t-blockers…

At some point in the life of a transgender person their outward appearance is so important, especially at a young age. I wonder for those reading this that are middle age or older, how important is passing in public before and after transitioning and for those who have no plans to transition how important is passing to you? Also would be nice to know how important is it to not just pass but to look great? I would like to hear from male to female and female to male.

I know we shouldn't but I have been thinking tonight how much we stereotype male/female roles as parents and how much of the female stereotype comes naturally to me... My children are with me this week while their mum is away and thankfully I can pretty much entertain them without missing out on too much work, but while I have been enjoying the time with the kids I have also been thinking about my ex and our marital roles. To say she wore the trousers is an understatement. Most of the marriage I was the one doing the eternal housework and washing pile - I don't iron but I move the piles around and put the clothes away - my gran taught me that ironing…

I really enjoy the make up! the clothes and and the way woman are in general. Love the complements and the sharing of emotions with other women. So much i respect about women! Men seem to hide the feelings and tend to think they are better! I take a woman life anyday.

It's a curious thing this state called Life. We undergo a great many things in it, some good, some bad, and some a little of both, but never in my years has it ever been easy, never has it been handed over just because I was told "oh you deserve it", do I what did I ever do to deserve something I never worked for. I was born by the skin of my teeth, I was never meant to make it full term because of blood compatibility with my mother, but hay I showed death up I was born, then at age two due to allergic reactions to dairy I almost. Died again, almost drown at age six, attempted suicide more times then I care to admit, born into a life of poverty few know I…

Some of you may have already seen this video - I saw it for the first time this past weekend. My brother is the one who told me about it. We've all heard of stories of people being misgendered. Sometimes it's an innocent mistake. Sometimes it's arrogant refusal to accept a person's gender identity. Then there are the cases, usually officials of some sort, who insist they must refer to a person based on legal ID or other documentation. The woman in this vid literally came unhinged. It's unclear if the misgendering was intentional. Question is, does her behavior hurt the trans community? Does it do trans woman any good for someone like the woman in the vid to l…

I have been very tired and busy for a while now. Came out to some friends and family that just went well almost totally ignored by everyone. I am having some medical problems. Stress at work piling up. I may be starting Spyro soon hopefully. Life is just getting out of hand. I have been working with a therapist for a while now and that helps a lot. I have a lot of dysphoria all the time and anxiety issues. Hopefully things start working out soon.

I am still daddy (though I have been both mum and dad for all intents and purposes for large hunks of their existence and am not sure what else I could be called as the kids have a mummy) I am male at work, my friends all call me dude so I guess that counts as using male pronouns, I have come out to two of my four sisters and they still refer to me by my male name, although Dee was chosen by them from a nickname I already get called and I really like it - they have young kids and until I am being open with everyone they cant be trusted to keep secrets like that. Although I was asked at the start I use my male name with my counsellor, although I am thinking of as…

I have the sexual orientation of a typical guy, the body of a typical guy, and am pretty much content with (or at least not opposed to) having the body of a guy. I have also never experienced any gender dysphoria before. However, I'm currently questioning whether I have the "mind" of a girl. I want to know: is it possible for me to have the "mind" of a girl despite this? Is that a thing? Every time I try to find the answer to this I always get things that don't say anything about this type of transgender, and instead basically assume everyone whose transgender is also looking to change their bodies in some way. There is never any mention of someone who is transgender who …

Hi everyone I’m Jamie, I’m in a weird situation where I’m planning to move and work to Japan from China(I used to live in the US) and also I’d like to begin my transition from male to female while there. In order not to derail my “coming out to my spouse” thread too much I made this one. I would like to know any resources or information of mtf life in Japan. Or your experiences while there. Firstly I’d like to recommend this source to anyone asking similar questions https://stonewalljapan.files.wordpress.com/2016/02/transguide2016.pdf this seemed both helpful and a bit depressing. I’ll be working in a small(?) city called Mito and I don’t know if…

For the >5 decades of my life before I came to an understanding that I'm transgender and that's okay I assumed that any small steps toward transition would be a slippery slope for me down Alice's rabbit hole. I was scared that I would find the euphoria impossible to resist, that transitioning would be like a rampant opioid addiction. I thus kicked the can down the road for many years while fighting depression and general mental malaise. I started transitioning two years ago with coming out to a small group of family and friends. Through 2017 I took more small steps with much reluctance and trepidation: buying more clothing, getting my ears pierced, starting work …

Coming out is tough, scary, and impacts everyone in our lives. There's no uncertainty about that. But it's part of many of our lives. Here is something I just came across that speaks to me: An important reminder that YOU are important too. Here's what our posters are feeling: 1. I screwed up everyone by coming out. 2. My former partner is feeling hurt/betrayed by my coming out. 3. My children are hurt/angry/permanently damaged by my coming out. 4. Everything is my fault because nothing will ever be the same again and I caused all of these changes. So...here we are. All wound up in our guilt. The world's problems...or so it feels...on our shoulders. …

What the hell is it with forums in our community? They are all so damn clicky that anyone who comes in and posts a slightly different opinion (which I thought was the point) is automatically denied from becoming part of the "good ol boys club" and the forum turns on them. And regular members decide they're the mods and police the board taking the job away from the mods. I've been posting on another forum, but it's becoming painfully clear that I'm a worthless *expletives deleted* because I'm not a clone of everyone else there. There's a regular there that can't take criticism. When told to get off his high horse and drop his holier-than-thou attitude he loses it. Then he …

I have a burning question that desperately needs answers. When exactly, did the word "transgender" translate to "sex toy"? Apparently I didn't get the memo when it happened. I have an ad on Craigslist looking to find a gaming buddy. Just someone to hang out with once or twice a week and spend a day gaming on the old cartridge systems. I added a few things in ad that people needed to know before responding. Such as my pets, my disability, and that I'm transgender. Since there's rampant bigotry against us. I got a response from a girl who was interested. She seems pretty cool. And I've gotten at least 30 responses from men who have let me know that I can give th…

My kids have adjusted very well since I came out as bigender 5 years ago.It was tough at first and I was amazed it took them a month to adjust.I had the talk with them on this, they were 13,11 and 9 years old at the time. They now understand now with them being 18,16 and 14 years old now seeing I am any normal dad with a female counterpart that wants out. Also learned I struggled for a long time finding who I really was and they learned something too.It was seeing who they were from the inside too,My 16 year old and 14 year old were first and it was my oldest. My oldest had interest in wearing certain female clothing as male when he was 15 and I helped him through this.He now…

People born with gender dysphoria have a physical difference between the sex of their brain and their natal sex so with this knowledge why are gender dysphoric people not classed as intersex when it is a scientific fact.
