It’s been a bit since I was on here. Of late my meds were ruined and I’m playing hell getting them filled again before the end of October. I’ve begun wearing a bra daily. I’ve heard it helps with shaping them. Not sure I can believe that but what the hell i do love wearing them. I hope my doc can help get my meds. It’s been horrible not having them. My addiction to becoming female is overwhelming and has brought me to tears because I can feel ["him"] trying to move back into me. Any advice from anyone on how to handle it would be nice. Love you girls. Cynthia

Updated March 24, 20169:04 AM ETPublished March 23, 201610:21 AM ETTARA HAELLE Experiencing the world as a different gender than the one assigned to you at birth can take a toll. Nearly all research into transgender individuals' mental health shows poorer outcomes. A new study looking specifically at transgender women, predominantly women of color, only further confirms that reality. What's less clear, however, is whether trans individuals experience more mental distress due to external factors, such as discrimination and lack of support, or internal factors, such as gender dysphoria, the tension resulting from having a gender identity that differs from the one assigned a…

Transgender people: 10 common myths Edited by German Lopez Mar 25, 2016, 12:00p "The most pervasive myth about transgender people — and the one myth that underpins much of the discrimination they face — is that they're somehow confused or actively misleading others by identifying with a gender different from the one assigned to them at birth." -vox.com

How do you handle those awkward family moments? Saturday I was at my brother's house visiting. I see them once every few months. I live as female part time so currently I work as a boy, see family as a boy, but otherwise I am Britney. I went to a party Friday night and then was at my brothers on Saturday afternoon. He was making fun of me cause I don't know anything about football or what a waiver wire was. Saying thing about the "man card" and ect. He has seen some of my kink photoshoots but from years ago when I shot as a boy so my family already thinks I am weird. As I was leaving his house his wife happened to point out that I was still wearing mascara from the ni…

I haven't had a chance to be on here for awhile, but wanted to share this great little story. One of the guys I play sports with is infamous for being overly aggressive, loud, crude, argumentative, and generally overly macho. All this past week, though, he was excited about playing dress up, wearing a dress and doing everything possible to look female. He sent everyone photos and loved the attention. His whole persona also changed and, though still a male, he started to fancy himself a female. Everyone totally accepted. it. Well, actually nobody really cared that much, except me.

I found I used to write here often when I was ... well I guess you could say I was in turmoil. Not to say I didn’t have anything positive in my life but just that everything was followed with a “Yeah but”. No matter what I did or where I went or how great a time I should have been having it was all followed with “Yeah but”. It was two words that always were in the forefront of my mind and a voice inside screamed it whenever my eyes met a mirror ... it was my voice .. I mean to say it was my currant voice, my female voice. I’m writing now because I try to remind myself that it’s important to pass along how things are a little further down the road, after accepting one’s…

Hi guys. I’ve just joined here. I think I may be trans. I was born female. But I don’t feel like I am. I’ve came out to a few friends etc and started dressing more like how I feel on the inside. But then I started dressing back to the way I use to. Thing is. I’m 31 almost 32. And I don’t know I feel like I’m too old to transition. And plus I have two children and I’m terrified how it’ll affect them. Plus I know my ex will go mental if he found out. As he was very abusive towards me to begin with in our relationship so god knows how he’d react to this. My family would disown me. I’m just absolutely terrified. Anyone else on here was or is in the same position I am now? I’d…

The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force has released its fourth and final report analyzing the intersection of race and gender identity among transgender and gender non-conforming people who completed the National Transgender Discrimination Survey. 15 Items You Should Always Keep in Your Purse (For Crossdressers and Transgender Women) 1 Cell phone - okay common sense without it you can loose communication to outside digital world. 2 Lipstick - the later one since I get worried when my lips dry out, so need to put new coat. 3 Chewing gum - I don't agree here since I am not much of gum chewer. 4 Nail file - Nope, not exactly what I would do in public or outside my apartment with nail file! 5 $20 cash - Yes a definite, $20 cash is must have as it over rides credit card, debit card, to whatever in emergency!!! 6 Hand cream - No I wouldn't carry hand cream, this is something you do after a shower or before an activity …

Just thought I would throw this out there. Maybe get some discussion going. I know of people that once they start hormones, get immediate results. There are also people, like myself, that had to wait for years to see the change. for me, I was on hormones for about 4 years before I saw anything. And then it was like an overnight change. And then, I had to spend time for my brain to catch up to what I was now seeing in the mirror. It seemed like overnight, I was this hairy beast. Never having to shave, and now, five minutes after I shave it seems like I should shave again. Just thought I would throw this out there because I know a lot of people think transition h…

I am a male who has just started a relationship with a trans girl. Just for the sake of clarity: she is a genetic male who CD's now but is about to start on hormones and identifies as a female. I guess I have been what you would call an admirer for a long time now, but this will be my first real relationship other than a random Craigslist hookup or two! point being is that I would like for this relationship to be more, and to develop into something and I want to do my part. my plan is to treat her like a lady, but other than that I really have no idea of any other way to help her as she deals with transitioning. I was hoping that the community here could give me some …

Coming out is tough, scary, and impacts everyone in our lives. There's no uncertainty about that. But it's part of many of our lives. Here is something I just came across that speaks to me: An important reminder that YOU are important too. Here's what our posters are feeling: 1. I screwed up everyone by coming out. 2. My former partner is feeling hurt/betrayed by my coming out. 3. My children are hurt/angry/permanently damaged by my coming out. 4. Everything is my fault because nothing will ever be the same again and I caused all of these changes. So...here we are. All wound up in our guilt. The world's problems...or so it feels...on our shoulders. …

Hi there, I have serious question to ask. It has two or three angles to the main question. After the straight person transitions to transgender or straight female to transgenderred or mix sex child to fully transgender person after surgery & so on etc. (Hermeditus). What does one involve their main part of activities on day to day basis? First of all as transgendered we change our dressing up for those of us in advanced stage of whether cross dressing to full gender living as true self? Secondly where do most trans gender hang out to assimilate themselves in public? What I am trying to understand is what is everyone's real physical favorite public places the most or t…

I know we shouldn't but I have been thinking tonight how much we stereotype male/female roles as parents and how much of the female stereotype comes naturally to me... My children are with me this week while their mum is away and thankfully I can pretty much entertain them without missing out on too much work, but while I have been enjoying the time with the kids I have also been thinking about my ex and our marital roles. To say she wore the trousers is an understatement. Most of the marriage I was the one doing the eternal housework and washing pile - I don't iron but I move the piles around and put the clothes away - my gran taught me that ironing…

Aydian Dowling | 08 Oct 2016 "Finally -- and maybe most importantly -- there's a need to truthfully address the notion of binary gender. Getting beyond that binary is surely one way we will overcome this, but that is new, uncharted water we as a community will be struggling with for a long time. And it will be worth the wait if, in the end, everyone can express their unique gender identity in an authentic way and have that identity acknowledged and respected by all." - Dowling, nbcnews.com Opinion: The Invisible Man: Why Have Transmen Been Left Behind?
