  1. Started by Hawkman,

Does anyone remember the cartoon, Beanie and Cecil? Cecil the seasick sea serpent. Yea I know I am old but come on. Even people that are older than me don't remember. They also don't remember Nestles Triple decker bar. Best candy bar ever made. Did I grow up in the twilight zone?

  2. Started by Blackangel,

I would have made this a blog post, but I honestly don't know what to say. My baby, Lady, has cancer. The vet said she won't make it through the year. Lady is the love of my life. I would die for her, and I will die with her. I don't know who and what I'll become after losing her, but I will definitely be different. I love her so much I can't even begin to describe it. Possibly more than even Adrianne.

  3. Sometimes I read the news and I just get angry. Some recent research into a news matter led me to the EqualityMatters.com web site. Did you know that 18 states still criminalize consensual sexual activity between same-sex partners? At least 12 of these states make such activity a felony offense. It is absolutely unacceptable that some state laws continue to target our people who have done nothing wrong. Oddly, I see Massachusetts on the list. I've thought of them as a progressive state, but they still haven't removed their law from the books, and they had one of the stiffest penalties for homosexual activity. 8. I'm not sure what has brought this article to the forefront considering it is from March 2012 - perhaps it is because there has been a recent comment posted. I thought maybe there had been an update, but I saw none. However, I don't recall ever seeing this article before, and thought that it might be of interest to others who may not have seen it. -Mike Posted: 03/19/2012 3:16 pm Updated: 03/19/2012 3:21 pm Greeting card verse: Jack and Jill, Went up the hill, So Jack could see Jill's fanny. 10. Another fine example of homophobia at it's very best...and the "legal" ways by which people can exercise their bigotry and get away with it. -Mike Filed: Thursday, September 13, 2012 "Cequada Clark, who has headed the adult cosmetology program since 2009, said she first learned of Principal Thomas Amons’ aversion to gay men after they both attended a regional cosmetology hair competition last April ... Amons had consulted with a staff attorney for the Beaumont Independent School District who informed him that he couldn’t exclude (Gray) based on his sexual orientation, but that as the principal of the school, he could decide to no longer offer the program." -lgbtq…

  16. So i ordered a pair of jeans to try to see how I like the size since my current jeans fell off. Luckily, in the house before I had any dumb ideas of wearing them outside. Dash diet works for weight loss on lazy people like me. SO...I ordered what I think is my new size, just one as a test to see if i like the fit/cut. My pants left Indianapolis, INdiana a week ago. And they hurtled on some fedex truck towards me here in Ohio and...hurtled right on by me for no reason I can explain to the OTHER side of Pennsylvania. Yeah, the NJ side. LOL Then they took a little trip up into Maryland I guess to catch the early fall color? I hope these pants have a great story to …

We’re looking to get out of town. I can’t live here anymore. I’m a country girl. I grew up on a small stock farm, and living in town has taken a massive toll on me. My depression has steadily gotten worse over the years, as well as my physical health. It has hit from all directions, and I’m completely losing it. I’m about to go out camping until we get a place. There’s a couple places we found, but my number one got sold unfortunately. But the place in second was a close second. I would upload the video I took spanning around the property, but you can hear my music, and it goes well beyond an R rating. I guess I could upload it to my site, and if anyone wants it, jus…

I'm in talks with the Canadian government seeking asylum, and once I have the money saved up, I'm going to fly into Ottawa to speak directly to them. I talked with the Canadian Embassy in Washington, and he told me that to seek asylum, I have to actually be in Canada. So I was wanting to see what I could find out from any Canadian members that we have here.

I don't know where else to put this post on the forms, the site doesn't have "General Discussion" as a form category, anyway I'm just a little concern about the inactivity of posting within our community. I have a lot of things to post about.

I watched the debate tonight. I was not happy with how it went. There were 3 candidates that only got the opportunity to speak 3-4 times in the entire 2 hours. Including my candidate. The questions were directed at 5 of the candidates and the rest were left to stand around like they were just there as decorations. How can it be a debate when less than half actually get to participate? Maybe the Iowa debate will go better.

  22. Started by Hawkman,

My thinking was....as 2012 ends, man i hope 2013 is a good one. But, then, i started thinking about all i have to be thankful for. For all the good things that happpened in my life in 2012. For all the good things that i so often overlook. And, in knowing there are so many hurting people in the world, even in my own community, I realize, i have nothing to complain about. Life happens. Some good, some bad. I am going to try my best to hang onto the good, and do my best to deal with the bad, and then, let the bad go. Tall order given the fact i am human. I am just deciding for myself, to spend more time thinking about the good in my life, and when the bad happens t…

  23. Started by Hawkman,

I have always felt that one of my purposes in life was to take care of my family. At 3 years old, my parents had a big fight and my Mom ran out and jumped into the car. I remember like it was yesterday, something inside me told me to jump in the car with her. She told me years later that she was planning on crashing the car...taking her life, but she saw me with her and couldn't do it. I have always felt my life purpose has been to be there for my family, even when they weren't there for me. I am now my Dad's primary caregiver. Took him to the VA on Thursday and they declared him legally blind. Also, with my Mom and my sister, they have always had a strain…

I love astronomy. I'm always watching series like The Universe on TV. I actually have the first 3 seasons on DVD. Netflix is a gold mine for astronomy documentaries. Aliens are fun to see on occasion, but I'm talking about interplanetary and intergalactic studies. I love seeing nebulae. My favorite is The Pillars Of Creation. But neutron stars, quasars, and black holes fascinate me also. I almost went nuts when we finally got an actual pic of a black hole recently. I absolutely studying everything in the unknown. I had thought at one time about going into astronomy, but I've never been a good student. I don't have the self discipline to devote myself to my studies to earn…
