Ok. I am going to put myself out here. I have been on all the transgender dating sites. I have always been looking for a transwoman that has a faith in God. I find once I mention my faith, all bets are off. I am an old fart so this isn't about a sexual relationship, it's about finding someone to spend my life with. Someone to fall asleep with, to come home to...that kind of thing. I hate going to these trans dating sites and seeing all the porn crap. Do any of you know of good dating sites? A place to find companionship. I have been on my own for many years.....ready for a change.

As transphobia enters the Oxford English Dictionary, Helen Belcher asks if it’s hate, ignorance or government stubbornness that is the real problem 25 June 2013 | By Helen Belcher "Scrabble players have the benefit of some new words thanks to the latest version of the Oxford English Dictionary. Transphobia and transphobic are two of them. Judicious placing of tiles on pink squares may see scores just about reaching three figures." --gaystarnews.com Are we using the right words for trans hate?

Today was the worst day in my life and here's why.... i had posted a cute gothic picture of me dress in my female attire and was really happy about it and my mother...well former mother now..decided to say in reply to the picture "oh i dont like this of you...your my son...love you" boy was i mad at her reply. so i asked her why she cant accept me(i asked her in private facebook messenger fashion of course) and her reply was...and i quote.... "your my G... D.... son and that is what your born as. i will never accept you as a female because that is not what you are. if i would had raised you, you wouldn't had become like that. your adoptive parents turned you into…

Visited my dad the other day, and he asked me what my middle initial 'D' stood for. Told him Daniel. He got this big smile on his face and told me that was his grandfathers name. He was very pleased. I told him the reason I chose that middle name is because of it's meaning. 'Only God is my judge.' He was surprised to know that, and I am happy to know that it is also a family name. Awesome!!

Supermodel Bar Refaeli posted a photo online of her standing in front of a urinal with the caption ‘LGBT ALL EQUAL’ 09 June 2013 | By Jean Paul Zapata "An Israeli supermodel has sparked online controversy with a photo of her standing in front of a urinal." --gaystarnews.com Israeli model shows LGBT support with urinal photo _______________________________________________ There have been several discussions about how [trans]women are poorly portrayed in media, and seemingly used to garner [the wrong kind of] attention in advertising. Too often, someone thinks it's amusing to portray a [trans]woman in a men's room at a urinal, or make her look like some neander…

Last night I went to a PROM!! Never did that in high school. The LGBTQI ministry at church sponsored it. There were people of all ages and genders dancing and I wore log and having a great time. My spouse and I wore long dresses which draw many compliments. Haven't danced that much in years-and in my heels!! I'll post from pictures when I get them. :D

Last night I spent some time with my nephew who is 13yrs old and we had a blast hanging out. We had the usuallypoking at each other as always and thats when I brought up about me being transgender to him. So asked him how does he feel about me being his aunt instead of his uncle and he told me he wasn't bothered by it and that he loves me no matter what. I was so proud that he is so accepting of me like my other nephew who is now 18 and graduated from high school. Then my two neices also know and they don't care. Well my 15 year old niece gets it but my younger niece who is 10 years old is not all quite there in grasping things as far as me being transgender. But that doe…

For years I have been an advocate in my state. Looking to change DMV policy in regards to gender markers. Recently working with a trans group to get Medicare to pay for surgeries for trans people. And I am thinking it might be time for me to separate myself from all this. Even though there is a trans support group in my state, it is just a ghost group. they ask for someone to fight the fight, but never give support. I just want to say, if you as trans people want an advocate, don't lay it all on one person. Do your part too. Even if it's just a word of encouragement. For my part...advocating in my state....I've done my part. And I will do no more. Not until I s…

hey all i wrote this letter on my mom's facebook status and wanted to show you my plead for my mom to call me by my proper pronoun and chosen name. Dear mom's friends, I am writing this status to introduce myself as her oldest daughter Charity. Yes I know you are about to be confused because she has a son named Danny and a daughter named Shelly, but I want to say something from my heart in hopes that all will know me as being me. I have been out as a transgender person since I was 21, struggling for many years to transition and fix my body to match my mind. It has been something that has always been a part of me even since I was 5 years old. It isn't something I woke …

Struggles within your Life, what in your life have you considered, what in your life have you not considered, So, here it is my dears, we at times are forced into situations that dictate a response, a struggle perhaps or simply a choice, maybe a choice that will affect another without us even realizing it at the time we turn down that road and continue on the journey through life, what out come was forced by your action, was there a good thing that came from it or was it a traumatic and life altering happening, I realize I am injecting a few questions into a large ball then to…

I found I used to write here often when I was ... well I guess you could say I was in turmoil. Not to say I didn’t have anything positive in my life but just that everything was followed with a “Yeah but”. No matter what I did or where I went or how great a time I should have been having it was all followed with “Yeah but”. It was two words that always were in the forefront of my mind and a voice inside screamed it whenever my eyes met a mirror ... it was my voice .. I mean to say it was my currant voice, my female voice. I’m writing now because I try to remind myself that it’s important to pass along how things are a little further down the road, after accepting one’s…

Why Most Transitioned People Don't Carry The Transgender Torch Where is it written that someone who has transitioned MUST help the (transgender) community?” asks reader Karyn Maynard in response to someone else on the comments board of a GLAAD post about Dawn Ennis. Karyn makes a good point, and the fact of the matter is, most people who transition move on from trans issues. They don’t actually see themselves as transgender people, even if they embraced the cause of “transgenderism” at some point in their journey. But they don’t live between the gender binary as so many transgender people happily do: the transitioned MtF person IS a female, and the FtM person IS a m…

I am 58 and I've been taking herbal estrogen and perscription estrogen for about 11 months now and I am so very pleased with my tender, sensitive, and growing breasts. I feel like they are something that should have been there a long time ago. I am now at that stage where I have to be careful about which shirt I wear because the nipples are always showing on my nice summer shirts. I should stop now and be happy with them as they are, but I seem to be driven by something I have no control over. The thought of being more womanly is like a drug. I could stop eating before I stop becoming what I need to become. Nobody knows and there is nobody I can talk to, but at this…

Many opponents label the passage of bills for transgender rights as a 'bathroom bill'. They stoke fear into uninformed people that allowing transgender people to use public accommodations will endanger the children and women. Well, these people shouldn't talk. How come the military is sweeping over 20,000 rape cases under the rug? How come lawmakers have a hard time protecting women from discrimination, abuse, and exploitation? Recently, a transgender woman was denied the use of a dressing room because the owner felt the customers would be uncomfortable. I saw through that ruse! SHE was the one who was uncomfortable. I'm not about changing people's perceptions be…

I've recently discovered adult ADHD or rather the correct name ADD attention deficit disorder. IS THERE A CONNECTION BETWEEN ADD AND CROSSDRESSING? ADD explains in one sweep what I have been trying to answer all my adult life... Why can't I focus on anything, why I procrastinate , why I can't achieve the things I'm passionate about. I've heard there is a connection, so I'm curious to know... How many of us girls have ADD or symptoms (poor long term focus - distractability - zoning out of conversations - chronic "laziness") AND if you do, do you see any connection with crossdressing or even transgender ism? This isn't directed to anyone here. Please do not think I am singling out anyone because I am not. I am merely saying what I am feeling as a way to inspire and have others to inspire as well. So please take this as me expressing my thoughts and feeling. Thanks and hugs. Dear Trans-Community, As I write this, it pains me to witness the many in fighting and backstabbing within our community. So many of us in the community are tired of it, yet it never will stop. I am making a plea for those out there to stop the hate within our community. Many of us are less fortunate, who can't afford to make the changes or are financially stable due to either being on government check …

In those quiet moments, thoughts of where my journey has taken me fill my mind. I'm different and yet I didn't feel any earthshaking experience. This has been the way my journey has gone. I find these quiet moments rather refreshing. I've always been a quiet and reflective individual. Quiet spaces for me is nirvana. An empty church, park, among nature. These thoughts are clearest when I wake up in the morning. This has happening with more frequency. From time to time I wonder if my being transgender was the fulfillment of a Native American prophecy. There are those times I wish that I could travel by foot across the land. As a child I was fascinated by country roads…

For years i have been spending big bucks to hang onto my CPA license. I am now thinking of letting it go. I am so far behind when it comes to the technology part of the field. And I keep thinking, what CPA firm would hire a 55 year old transman that would have to start at an entry level? I do hate to let it go because it is one of the hardest licenses to get, and yea, it took alot of hard work. And in writing this I think about the idea of 'wasted talent,' How so many of us have talents to offer if we just had the chance to be who we are.

This past Sunday my wife and I went to visit a friend who was in the hospital. As we walked to the security desk I saw that we needed to show our IDs. I don't have a picture of me as Gennee. I wondered how this would turn out? I presented my ID with my male picture. The guard looked at me for a moment, sowewhat startled. He gave us passes and let's us proceed. We had to sign again when we reached my friend's ward. The lady who signed me in didn't take a moment's notice. She just let me pass. Quite a day. Gennee is making her presence felt. My friend is doing much better.
