Hi, I'm a freelance journalist who has been commissioned by a UK woman's weekly magazine to write a feature focussing on young British women aged between 18 - 35 whose parent has undergone gender re-assignment. The piece would chart their initial reaction through to their eventual understanding of and acceptance of the issue. Case studies would need to agree to be identified and photographed but would be able to read and review the feature prior to publication. A fee would also be payable for their participation. It was the beginning of a Monday morning sometime around 12am, so the sky was still dark. Anyway, I had a throbbing tooth ache that didn't allow to rest. Four years ago on this date I came out as transgender and a crossdresser. It was a liberating moment which ended the many years of inner turmoil I had about my worth. Last night I shared more things about being transgender with my wife. It was a conversation that was coming up because she sees me dressed much more often. I was telling her that many transgender folks have known they were this way as children. I mentioned again my feelings of being different throughout my life. She listened intently as she tried to understand what I was saying. I also shared with her that I can be transgender and Christian. I wrote this several years ago, and although I might today "tweak" for redundancies, the message of this essay is still to my mind, relevant. (Gentlemen-- Although this is written partially with the ladies in mind I would ask that you consider that section from your own perspective) I offer here my four step process for self improvement. Some of you who have seen my posts know that I had decided against having children, for a variety of reasons. Well, I've had a change of heart. I've learned that it is possible for a single person of either gender to adopt a child of either gender in this country (since I present as male and know I want a girl, this is really good news), and I've grown a little in the last few years, so I think I could be up to the task someday. Hello everyone. It's been along time since I wrote here,glad to see Iam still registered. In eary June of this year I had a stroke that has not left me paralyzed or impaired to a graet extent, thank God for that. My endrologist took me off of the estogen pills and placed me on the patch, which I am now on and also put me on cholesterole lowering medication. Has anyone had to deal with a situation like this? Some major life changes have occurred, like eating habits, more excercise, NO alcohol, ect. What can I expect from this and although no one can give a medical opinion, I'd like to know what people think. Jolene.

Last year, I was considering the possibility that I may be a transgenderist. I would define me as somewhere between a crossdresser and transsexual. I don't want to transition or take hormones. I have been dressing more and more. I would live full time as a woman but my marriage is more important. I am equally comfortable in both genders, but I prefer the feminine. I am on cloud nine right now. Yesterday I went into town to finally get my license and social security change (the name on it, not the number). It was so simple with no problems what so ever. The DMV would be my first pit stop. In total I was there maybe for ten minutes. There was no confusion on their part as to what I was doing. All I did was show them my court order and the rest was pie. My temporary license is in my possession. The actual card will take a couple of weeks to come in the mail. Maybe one day stupid here will actually learn not to step on soft surfaces in seven inch heels. this is the second time this is happened that I managed to break the strap on these heels, the first time I stepped on soft grass with them on, last night I stepped on soft carpet. my foot went one way, and my shoe went the other way. There were many questions asked and I was able to answer them to the best of my knowledge. I opened up the discussion defining the many transgender terms. As I have occasionally commented before, I am disappointed with my breast size. The options seem to be using pads or breast enhancers in my bras and/or wearing padded bras or just accepting relatively small breasts and wear unpadded bras. I know many male to female transsexuals have implants, but I have decided not to. Until recently I usually wore unpadded bras since developing some breasts. I realize many genetic women are also disappointed with their breast size and wear pads or padded bras to enhance their feminine appearance.
