I heard vaguely that certain HRT drugs can result in different changes to the body. As in one drug might cause a person to fill out in the butt, but another might cause more breast tissue. Is this true? Which ones to what, if so?

I've been taking herbal estrogen off and on for over a year now with minimal development without my girlfriend knowing. I want to know where and what I need to take to give me that extra push so that I can hit a growth spurt and really start growing

Hey everyone! You guys can just call me Kay. I am a coming out mtf tg and am looking for some guidance from anyone who has any advice for a "newbie" like me:) I have known since before my adolescence that something was not right about me. But still need to get to that realization that has been trying to push its way up for a while now. Its really annoying, and confusing, and i just need some, well, guidance.I would like to better explain everything to anyone who wants to lend an ear. My thoughts, so far, are whether to decide to go through what i have read to be "transitioning". I know quite alot about it, but obviously what you "read" isnt always true. So i'm a little lo…

Hello everyone! My name is Julia it's wonderful to meet all of you. I'm a self proclaimed non-op. I just celebrated my three year anniversary of going full time as of the 11th of this month. I experimented with estrogen fairly heavily when I was around thirteen and on and off until early 2001 when I started doctor prescribed hormones and haven't been off of them since. I transitioned in Helena Montana which was "interesting" to say the very least. LOL! I'm a distance runner and love to run with my doggy every morning. I'm also an artist and work in watercolour, pastels, charcoal and coloured pencil. I have a varied taste in music ranging from industrial, ebm, darkwav…

Since the majority of mtf are "lesbian" and the ftm will continue to be lesbian is it safe to say lesbian is the choice of sexual orientation? I guess it's true that women are not totally hetero. They are either bi or lesbian. I am a hetero woman. I know I will be sexually active with just men when I have srs. I am married and have sex with my wife only. So does that make me bi even though I am a virgin when it comes to men?

Every year I have a medical check-up in great hospitals. I always explain that I am a transsexual woman, as they always register me as female (according to my legal status). So far, I always had good results. However, these past few months I have been feeling depressed and for some reason I thought that it may have to do with hormones. I remember I have had periods of depression throughout my life. I always thought it was a psychological problem, never a fysical. I am taking progynova daily. That's it. Last week I went to see an endocrinologist specialised in transsexuals. She told me that my depression and lack of motivation didn’t surprise her. She said that 5 y…

I read at an internet website about breast development for transsexual women, the development of breasts for transsexual women is usually different in certain respects from genetic women. The common differences in genetic male chest size apparently often or usually results in the breasts of a transsexual being smaller, more spaced apart, with a transsexual fitting into a 36B bra not having as large breasts as a genetic woman fitting into a 36B bra. I seem to pretty much fill in my unlined 36B bras. Yet when not wearing a bra, my breasts seem quite smaller than those of my wife, whose bra size is 34A. From a frontal view, my breasts eeem no more than a 34AA compare…

So, today I found some free time and decided to finally get the ball rolling on the name change since my family is now more or less on the same page as me and that I now live completely full time since I now *also* work as a woman. Now, the reason I only focused on the name is due to the fact that PA, where I live, states that you can only change your gender on state identification if one of two things occur: Your birth certificate, in the state you were born in, states you are of the gender you are changing it to.. or You have documented proof from your primary care physician as well as the doctor who performed the surgery that state you have undergone complete…

It's saturday and I'm at home, pushing the boundries of my existance! I'm moving a step closer to being in harmony with my male/female. i got to keep going, co's the conflict between me and the world i live in, ends up suffering and there-by do I. I have a wife and 3 teenage children and I've always managed with just my wifes knowledge. Now I find that as I get older (51) I have to bring the "two halfs" together; I think my own body clock is pressuring me. What with the kids and my profession in psychiatry, I can't see that I will ever truly experience "womanhood". On the positive side, I love my life, it's just a bit complicated ! Anyone got any wisdom on how to c…

I want to start by saying that being trans gender is not a choice. I am pondering life as my wife just told me on Thursday she was leaving. I ran the gauntlet of emotions since then. I am torn into two sides, one side of me is broken and sad the other side is a little happy to be free. If I could have changed my mind somehow and stop being trans tomorrow I WOULD. That being said I reflect on the negatives of being trans. Lieing ....we hide everything about everything til I guess it's too late. Are we to blame, is society to blame for making us hide who we are? What choice did I have when caught as a child many times by my parents and told how horrible it is. How it was mo…

I alluded to this subject in a comment to a topic I started in November. "The New York Times" has today an interesting, fairly long article about the process I previously mentioned. The article is on the paper's website in the 'fashion and style section," entitled "Your own fat, relocated." Fat is removed from a lower part of the body and injected into one's breasts. Some advocates contend up an increase of up to about two cup sizes is possible. However, some doctors caution of possible detrimental effects on a person's health. This will probably start to get more attention in this country.

I was switching channels a day or two ago, trying to find something possibly interesting to watch. There is a doctor, I believe his name is Dr. Oz, who has a program about human health. He was talking to a woman who seemed to have had breast reduction surgery because the weight of her large breasts were causing back problems. She said she felt more comfortable with more moderate size breasts.

I was dreading ever getting to the point where I'd ask this question, but here I am. So I guess I'll ask. What do you do while you 'wait'? There are a ton of things right now that people keep telling me, oh, it just takes time. You just have to be patient. Hormones, learning voice (which occasionally hits awesomeness and very rarely has any usable consistency, still). Electrolysis, weight loss, and of course vain attempts to save up some money for FFS and/or GRS later. I'm probably dumb and I'm probably doing this all wrong. I dunno. I don't think I'm in much of a position to say one way or another anymore. What is indisputable is the following: I'm too femi…

Hello everybody! It's been a while since I've checked in here. Life, and my other internet haunts, have kept me busy. I see there are still a lot of familiar faces here, so in a way it's like I never left. A lot has happened in my life, and I don't intend to bore you with the details, but one major event has occurred which I intend to share with you all. I have a girlfriend! Not just any girlfriend mind you, but somebody who is taking much the same path I have taken. We are both trans women, all be it in very different stages of transition. While I have completed transition, she is just beginning. She still presents male full time, and is right now in the process…

I sit along the Cross Roads looking into the night with such a heavy heart , The nights cold grip starting to take me to the darkest places I have fought to escape so long ago..... I feel the grip of dispare tightening around my chest and through my souls very strong energy I can taste its sour notes on my tounge yet again.... I am sorry To have to say That I feel like I am slipping away, waisting in this body giving my breath to the very thing that will consume me if I can not fight it away as I have in the past... I dont know if I can... I cry more , I feel my progress slipping from my grasp, can I get a hold of it? Will I be able to recover from another cold winters…

My son is in the other room slurping down his first solid foods (cereal in formula). It's freakin' hilarious ... he's grabbing at the spoon to try to get it in his mouth faster, and then once it's in there he shoves his fingers in to aid in the process... I think... Ahhh I live a strange life. It's a little like an ink-blot, depending on who looks at it and from what angle, it looks like two totally different things. I had some real momentum and steam built up in March, last time I posted on here, for giving up the last of my guy pretenses. Then a random set of occurrences happened. First, my relationship with my spouse developed some fractures. (Thankfully fixed n…

Boo! Did I scare you? If I did, I'm worried. It's a forum post you big silly. If I didn't? ...I'll try harder next time, hehe. Hi everyone! I used to lurk here ( and post occasionally ) when I was younger! Recently, my thoughts have wandered to all you lot and I was curious, so here I am checking in. New look to the forum and it's awesome! The familiar faces I remember are still present, Hi Annie! For those who remember, I'm Melissa, I am a male to female transsexual ( that's why I'm posting here! ) and I started my therapy around 16 and my hormones just before 17, if I recall correctly. I am now halfway to my 21st birthday, time has flown, and my oh my I often f…

Ok, now I am posting this ponderance for consideration..... There are so many unanswered questions that rattle around in our heads how do we know that there are any true answers , well I think that for every person the answers are different, For me the question I most often ask is when will this end ... Does it ever end and the answer I have continually come across is No , we will always be striving for the ellusive acceptance for who we are ....Not every peron in this world will accept us for who we are , they may humor us and let us carry out our lives as we see we need to , but they wont completely accept us as our genetic counter parts , is this a bad thing.... No …

Hi all. I am a 23 year old post op transsexual, having had my operation back in 2003. I've noticed that my sex drive has dramatically decreased since the operation and it's really messing things up with me and my boyfriend who i've been with for 2 years. I'm of course still on hormones but my sex drive just won't come back. I mean this is horrible, lol!!!! I feel totally satisfied with my results, body, myself in general aside from this. I just get irritated alot when my bf wants to engage in any sort of sexual contact and it's very bothersome for him and especially me knowing how sexual i used to be. I was wondering if any of you that are knowlegeable or post …
