Hi everyone Im rather new to this site, but not to the trans community. I have been struggling with my own GID for a very long time now. I was ready to start councling about 3 years ago but then I ran into financial issues and have had to put it on hold. Now that I have saved up a good amount of money I am ready to start the process again. I am just absolutely amazed at the strength and courage many of you ladies have, especially the ones that have started HRT, and I hope within the next year or two to begin my own. I am 26 and don't want to start my transitioning too late in life to not enjoy it. I would love to hear from all of you about your experiences and…

I'm 18 and financially dependent on my mom Who along with the rest of my family is deeply religious and I'm struggling with how to deal with this or even whether i have the nerve to go through with the trans gender thing because no offense but it goes against everything i was raised with. I think that if i told my mom she would still love me but i fear our relationship would suffer .Also, my Closest cousin is somewhat homophobic so imagine how she would feel about me. i just feel like if i did this i might lose everything and everybody i knew.I also feel guilty for feeling like this and i was wondering if therapy would ever make you feel differently about things. I gues…

Today marks my 23rd month of being out full time. Almost 2 years of finally being comfortable with my own body (well, except for one part, which I hope to replace with a feminine part next year). It's been an amazing journey. Not only do I feel like I am finally living my life as I should have been from day one, I've had a lot of fun the last 2 years as well. I've done some things that most 51 year old tgirls haven't done, heck, I've probably done some things that most 51 year old GG's haven't done. In 2009, I was on stage dancing at a straight strip club beside 21 year old GG's, and I was having a blast. The girls there had no idea I was a transsexual until m…

Blurgh. So, the last time I was here, I was talking about how great it was that I was coming out to friends and family and that my wife was finally starting to be more accepting. And now... Two steps back... First, she wanted me to stop discussing things among the only transgendered community I know because people on the internet don't know me personally. I was at least feeling okay that I was able to start talking to my few friends in real life... Shortly thereafter, she pointed out that there's always the possibility that I will see a therapist and there will be other circumstances than GID that have caused these feelings all my life, so I shouldn't discuss i…

Is there any information on how common the various conditions in transgender are in the populaton. I would be most interested in U.S. population and location, I see there is map on this site but I am wondering if there is any recent scientific study with some current data. I would hope that the info would include the homosexual population as well. I am also curious about those who who never come out. Obviously there is some guessing involved but has there been any type of study or survey recently that might be useful.

I am still waiting to get some more advanced professional counseling with my desire to transition but through the years I have given much thought to Sex Reassignment Surgery (SRS) because I have always been so uncomfortable with the male genitalia. Most of you have coped with the problem for some time and I am curious if any of you can relate to these thoughts. I will do my best to present the rated G PG version by being more technical in the language please let me know if there is another place to transfer this post. When you have made a loving commitment to your wife and then hit her with the truth about being unhappy in your body it raises all kinds of questions a…

I am starting this forum because I am now at the point where I have realized some very strange things. This is a mixture of observation, theory and opinion, I welcome your input... I get along great with women because that is who I identify with But women have always seen the my outward male shell. They thought it was great getting to know me because we always got along so well together. If I change my outward shell to match what is inside then the women from before have lost the man on the outside who they thought was a man. They may very easily feel betrayed and even weird because they were sexually attracted to me before and now they wonder if that makes…

Hello I am Kelly and I am a 31 year old mtf pre op ts for 10 years now.I always felt mostly feminine since I was 7 years old and never felt masculine. At first,I did get into my mom's closet and tried on some of her heels and pantyhose which I liked.I bgan crossdressing after that and I knew this was not enough in my late teens. Finally I was at a crossroad when I was 19 and decided on the transition. My mom was very concerned about me and I broke the news to her about this first. It was good news, she told me that she loved me regardless and saw I was in lot of pain.My father otherwise was tearful when I told him and he thought it was his fault not raising me as a boy right.I…

Does anyone live the cougar lifestyle. I will be 43 soon and when it comes time to date it will be with younger men. The estrogen has really made my already youthful looks even sexier.
