Hi all, I'm very happy to be here. I am 62 years old and MTF. I came out at 60 and started transition 20 months ago. I live on Long Island, in New York. I am a musician, love to play classic rock and the blues on one of my several guitars, mostly vintage Gibsons. I write songs too. I have two wonderful grandkids aged 3 and 8, and they love me no matter my gender. Kids just know love, as it should be. OK, I admit it, I'm a bit of a shopaholic. Love new clothes, shoes and bags, oh and guitars of course. I have some support from loved ones and friends but have lost so many people due to bias and ignorance including a twin brother and son, but I have also gained so…

Hi, My name is Julie and I'm a postop, MTF transwoman, age 61 although I thankfully don't look it. I've been living as a woman for over 13 years now but just moved back home to Huntsville AL. I started my transition here and lost my job about a year after coming out so I was forced to move for a job I found in Charlotte NC. The move was great, although I moved away leaving my family and my 3 adult children whom I raised alone for many years behind. It was a hard adjustment to be without them and without my role as a parent. But the job was great and I blossomed and even got all of my surgeries and began dating. After many years of struggling thru my transition to rea…

Hello everyone! Just wanted to let you know I am still alive and kicking! I have been living on my own since I left my wife in 2007. My kids were told I was leaving because I am gay, easier to accept than being trans. I go out mainly as a man but also go out as a woman and many in my building have seen me and accept me. They are always seeing me going out carrying my hockey equipment. I play 4-5 times a week. One of the groups I play with know I am trans and have no issue with it even though some don't understand it. I educate them as much as I can. I go out dressed to a gay club often which has Drag shows Thursday evenings and the atmosphere is wonderful. T…

Hello,I am Debra Michelle.I am a part time crossdresser. My first interest in feminine clothing was at the age of 4.I remember loving what my mom wore that interested me.I remember mom walking out in a dress and heels all made up when we went out to a formal event. That is when I knew I wanted to be like her sometimes. My younger brother has always has been tough masculine guy.Growing up,I wasn't like him.Mom sensed there was something wrong with me right away, thought I was unhappy about myself. Finally discovered it when I was 10 years old,mom caught me walking out with a pair of her wedges on.Had a talk with me on it and I told her like wearing feminine clothing and shoes …

Glad to be here. I'm Lynn, not open to dating but am open to learning. I'm sorry if I appear reticent. I've been under attack in past online trans groups and am inclined to keep quiet because of it. I'm post-op, but know there have been many changes in the Trans community since my transition.

Hi! I just discovered your group, and now that I've joined I thought I'd say hello. I'm a trans woman who started her transition in 2015, been living full time since November of 2016. I live in Myrtle Beach right now, and I have yet to meet any other trans people in my area. I'm also from up north and pretty homesick. Not really sure what I'm hoping for with joining, but having people to talk to is always keen!

Hello to all of you wonderful people. Just found this site the other day and have now joined, (it's about time.} I am newbie to the site, but not to my mixed feelings of who I am. Now pushing 60, the desire to be who I feel I truly am is so very overwhelming again in me. I have harbored and struggled with these feelings and emotions since I was in high school, now at 59, I have decided to take this as far as I can and am able to do so. I have probably gone through the same emotional gamut as most everyone here, denial, desire, self-loathing, depression, elation and now acceptance once again. Living in the panhandle area of Texas, there is not much of a support syste…

Hi, I am Confused1. I am here to help keep my sanity while I figure out who I am and will be in the future. My account disappeared in the last few hours and don't know why. My username and email were available again so here I go again. About a week ago I was getting ready for bed and taking off a sweatshirt and my tshirt got pulled up so that my wife saw that I was wearing a sports bra. Her initial response was to ask if I was transitioning and that she could not be married to a woman. I told her that I had no intention of becoming a woman, but since then, I have done a lot of self searching and am not sure where I am at other then I don't think I fit the mo…

I joined earlier in the week as a means of gaining support. I am a baby in my journey and feeling like there is an emotional bomb going off inside me. I've been struggling with my identity for years and only a few weeks ago did I finally take the first step and reach out for help by seeking therapy.

Hi everyone, I have literally just joined after someone recommended this site to me so I thought I would come and introduce myself. I am Dee - I live in VERY rural Scotland and so I am quite protective about my identity online. I was AMAB, started questioning my gender just before I turned 40 last year. It was a combination of my marriage breaking up forcing me to take a good look at myself, and going to a fancy dress D&D one shot party as a female character and realising that I not only enjoyed it but loved it! I started looking at youtube videos and taking online quizzes, and had to start to know an awful lot of phrases and lingo I had never needed before…

Hi everyone, i posted a thread earlier without really introducing myself properly. That other thread I posted mostly concerns how I can ease my wife into my preferred gender identity without hurting our relationship. Here is that tread Incase you would like to help out my name is James and not sure what I’d want to change that to if I ever transition. I’m only 25 and I grew up in the states but moved to China and now will be moving to Japan. Currently nobody knows I’m trans and I have bottled it up for years, I think I started to feel I was a girl inside since I was 15...but I can’t really remember. The only girly thing I’m really interested in is cute things…

Hi Everyone, My name is Christal, I am 18 years old and live in Denver. Ethnically Scandinavian, w/naturally blonde hair and light blue eyes (and it's a curse!) I started HRT at age 13 (initially DIY because of unaccepting parents) b/c I could never consider being anything but a girl. I was in a deep, deep depression for most of the years of my childhood b/c I was being forced to grow into a... well, in my mind, I was going to become a hairy *monster.* But I am so, so happy and feel so empowered now I can live my life as a woman. I am free of the evil spell that somehow was cast upon me, and I can embrace femininity throughout the rest of my life. Thank goodness…
