  1. This is a test as described below. There are five levels that score between -650 which indicates male and 650 which indicates female. I think there were 60 plus questions. I scored 600 so it looks like I am on the right path. Before taking the test I suggest doing what I did, just take it, do not dwell over the answers but do carefully read each question. There is one question that is really something, I read it three times before responding. Would love to hear how you score and your thoughts on the scores. A unique test designed specifically for the uncertain pre-transitional Male-to-Female gender dysphoric. The first comprehensive gender dysphoria test, COGIATI …

So...I'm new to this forum. Thought I would get that out of the way. I've been on HRT now since 2005. Lately I'm noticing that no matter what I do I keep gaining weight. When I started HRT I was at 145 lbs. I've been low carb ever since 2002 and I don't cheat. I'm 53 now and I noticed the weight gain started around 48. I'm now at 199 and I just keep gaining. I'm training with a personal trainer 2 times a week, I attend team training 2 times a week and I do yoga 2 times a week. Getting super frustrated and depressed. Any insights would be welcome at this point.

  4. I being doing research as what is consider living full-time, Real-life experience as a transgender female? I need to better understand cause insurance policy stats “ Must complete 12 months of living full time real life experience as the desired gender”. This is added for breasts augmentation surgery or for Sex Reassignment Surgery. There is no details on what is consider living full time as a woman. I thought it meant I must be in dresses, heels, full makeup and nails done all the time. What happen I want to be in leggings, jeans, shorts etc.. and no makeup, no long nails and wearing sneakers is that consider living as a woman too? I didnt have any surg…

My skin and body is pale now and when i go through streets, that people see me like woman and when I go dress like man they still see me like woman. I didnt expect so quickly that I have changed to girl immediately. But on youtube channels I have seen many videos of mtf people on hrt who say that process come after 3 months. But my face after 1 month is true girly. and when I take my beard od , I am more so girly.

As far back as I can remember, I always felt that I was a girl. I would try on my mother's panties, bras, nylons, etc. This made me feel normal. When I was a teen, I started to buy my own things. My feelings to become the woman on the outside that I knew I was inside grew stronger and stronger. These feelings have only intensified. Now, I am excited to announce that I will soon begin hormone therapy! I look forward to the upcoming changes to my life. With love, Missy444

  10. my question is not about the technical aspects of changing the voice but how you go about transitioning it in society. i think i can do a female voice, though i cant quite tell on the smartphone recorder. i have changed smaller towns twice recently for other reasons. i dont think strangers should be called sir and maam. but once people or relatives, most who arent friends, have heard you one way, i feel (kind of?) embarrassed to change.

  11. For admins: Having visited susans place and tgboards, I guess the content below should be acceptable to this site rules. If not admins, please let me know so I can make changes to it. Warning: I do not condone doing HRT by yourself, without the support of a good endocrinologist; as that way you will be putting yourself in the hands of lady death sooner or later. Warning2: YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary). Some transgender bodies for example like spironolactona, and hate androcur; some hate both and some hate none. You may change a lot in just 1 month, others do not change at all after 1 year. Current face: - Event, - Medication, - Event+Medication, - Nothing -----------…

  12. Started by Naeka,

to start, I will say that I have been on Estradiol and Spironolactone for two months now. I have a question about one of the hormone glands i think it is. I just recently had a blood panel workup done for my hormone levels and one came back higher then expected, it is the prolactin level for the pituitary hormone. as I am new to all this I was wondering if any one in early stages or whatever stage has experienced this and what it is about it I should be looking our for or aware of? also my breast area last two month (happily) have been like super tender and have already budded out a decent amount for friend to say hey your looking good you have boobies. but a small A at…

I have been on HRT for nine months now and noticed my libido has (finally) appeared to have in a dramatic way tapered off. So I was wondering what others have experienced in their HRT timeline?

  14. Hi there. Sorry if this sounds like a silly question or if it's in the wrong section of the forum. I am thinking of going to my GP in the hope of being referred to a gender therapist on the NHS. I'm really struggling on how to start the conversation with the doctor. For those who have experience with this before then what did you say to doctor and what did they say back to you? Also what happens in Therapy? Sorry if this sounds pathetic. Amy

  15. Started by Susane,

Over the past few weeks I have been presenting in my true female gender pretty much full time. Even when I'm tucked up in bed. I have told my landlord because he is also my neighbour and I didn't want him thinking I was doing something weird. Luckily he was totally cool about it. I have signed up for counseling at my local LGBT centre and for a course of life skills. I am also waiting for an appointment at the Gender Identity Clinic for assessment and hopefully hormones and maybe GRS. I am really getting to hate wearing male clothes for work and also not being honest with my family. I have been advised by the people at the LGBT centre to wait awhile before telli…

  17. I made this a couple years ago and it's all very medically technical as far as terms but covers all the basics of what to expect when going through HRT. You can look up terms for greater explanation of them.

I'm not sure how I should start this or what way to word what I need to say, so I guess I will start from the start; I know I have always liked women and I don't see that changing any time soon. But I have always had problems with the way in which my body looks, I'm never the right weight, I either see myself as too heavy or too skinny; this causes my weight to fluctuate a lot of the time. I don't see a Males body when I look at myself a lot of the time, I have wide hips, quite narrow shoulders and a fairly small waist. But this isn't exactly what I am here to chat about, I have always gotten on better with and been myself more around women or gay lads; around straight la…

Hello, I am a mom of a 16 year old boy who recently told me he is questioning his sexual identity. I am very open, I have a great relationship with him and have been doing a lot of research on transgender transition. I found a gender therapist and had our first meeting today, it was just her and I and he will start next week. I liked her but she brought up some things that got me questioning some things. My experiences with trans MTF has been women who post on YouTube and share (they are all beautiful), an old classmate, who is beautiful, a few people I have seen on TV, who have all been beautiful... all look very feminine. I have another trans friend that is less fem…

The following article takes you through what a transwoman went through while searching for a new job. There are several things to take note of e.g. the person was addressed with the incorrect pronouns and others followed suit because that is what they heard, not saw. These things happen not simply in job interviews but other parts of a trans person's life too. For those who identify as trans should consider who you would handled this putting yourself into their position while keeping in mind this position may very well be the only one available to you, if you don't get it you have no job. This was written by me in April of 1999. It was my first published internet editorial, and addresses my earliest impressions of this community. You will see that philosophically I have evolved beyond the opinions expressed here, particularly as they apply to my own life and plans for the future. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~THE LADDER~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I am a fairly recent arrival to the transgendered "community," for want of a better word, having first made contact with you all in January of this year. Until that time, I traveled this road in total isolation-- had never spoken to or met another person like me. In the four months since my first foray onto the internet, sp…

Surgery Could Give Men Wombs of Their Own Within 5 Years https://ca.style.yahoo.com/post/133592340825/surgery-could-give-men-wombs-of-their-own-within-5 That’s the question provoked by last week’s announcement that the Cleveland Clinic is performing uterus transplant surgery on women who were born without a womb or whose uterus is diseased or malfunctioning. Hearing the news, we, and some of you, wondered: If science can transplant a uterus into a woman, can it transplant one into a man? The answer is yes. Theoretically, men could receive a uterus, carry a baby to term, and give birth. But what really blew our minds is that the day of male pregnancy is closer than you’d …

Hi everyone. Firstly I would like to say sorry this is my first post and not an introduction in the relevant section. I am Jane, pre-op MtF transgender, 35 years old. I transitioned at 17-20 while starting counseling. From 20 onwards I got the all clear from my doctors and therapist to begin HRT. Hormonally it was a rough start but mood and such settles after a year however mood problems began 5 years go with feeling unwell from the hormones and I opted for just antagonists instead of replacement and even tried cycling on and off estrogen. I have been through 3 doctors, one Endocrinologist outside of my small town even. Right now it has been 1 year straight on antagonis…
